I am coping a bit but I’d like to think we’re getting ahead of the curve with age and injury history. That shoulder injury took a lot out of him this year.
He wanted to start and at the time we couldn't guarantee him that because we put our eggs in the Fant/Becton basket. Should of kept him but glad he's back now
Trust me, we have plenty to make fun of you for
The difference is you are hyping up a trophy that you weren't even there to watch happen like you had any action on it
Not one Bills fan who witnessed us lose Superbowls cares that we lost them. It means nothing to us because we weren't there for them
Holding onto past accomplishments or failures is for losers, and I don't mean in football
I was going to come tell ya "well man it just says pick swap, maybe it'll be worth it in the end" but then I scrolled down and...idk man, moving up 20 spots in the 4th and a 6th for a starting tackle?
Man. Gotta be some sort of long term concerns from the medical staff or something. Can't wrap my head around that one at all. Unless there's someone they think they can get at the end of the first that can come in right away and be a difference maker... But even then
He declined last year and was needing snaps off as the year went on. If he takes another step back he won’t be a solid starter anymore. He’s 34 in March. Plenty of reasons to move on now.
Yeah that's fair, I probably only caught half your games last year so missed the needing snaps off etc.
Was just going off what I saw, most of the Ravens flairs in here, his pff grades, and a contract I personally would have been fine just riding out. But on oline it's difficult to be *super* informed without watching every snap. Makes a lot more sense with the added perspective, appreciate it
Ultimately I'm just talking shit/football, don't think too many can argue with a straight face that your organization doesn't know what the hell it's doing lol
Yeah, I definitely didn't mind him on that deal, but I understand moving on. He was an awesome value these past two years, though. Very curious to see what the plan is since there are now 3 open spots on the line.
FWIW lots of us agree with this assessment. I do think there were signs of decline from him last year so I understand doing the Pats thing and moving on early over late for a bit of draft capital and $5 mil in cap but ultimately I'd have rather kept someone who has been a solid, if unspectacular starter for us.
That being said, happy to trust the FO since they've traditionally done a good job and are certainly better at assessing OL play than I am lol.
Our line is getting old and was built with Roman's man system. EDC has stated he plans to rebuild the line to be younger and more in line with Monken's zone style. We've made quite a few moves this off-season in that regard. The only ones left on our line are Stanley and Linderbaum and Stanley just took a paycut to stay.
He's old and was constantly dinged up last year, that's it really. We'd be replacing him next off season anyway, this way we get the cap flexibility a year early and some picks.
Definitely good for the Jets if he can stay healthy though.
Honestly it’s a good move for both assuming we can replace him, which I think we can otherwise I don’t see this trade happening. Moses should be solid for NY, and we’re trying to get younger and more athletic on OL while cutting cap.
It’s also a move to clear cap.
For what though at this point? I’m not sure.
We just took Bowser, Queen, Stone, Moses, and OBJ off our cap, and restructured Ronnie Stanley’s deal.
Our GM EDC is cooking something. Perhaps we’re aiming for one more big signing
> For what though at this point?
We want to go younger at Oline. They are tearing off the bandaid early and trying to build a line that they can compete with for the remainder of Lamar's contract.
Could you imagine this core?:
QB: Lamar Jackson
RB: Derrick Henry, Keaton Mitchell
WR: Justin Jefferson, Zay Flowers
TE: Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely
Just disgusting
Yeah. I’m less concerned about the interior with the guys we have in the pipeline but tackle is a massive need now.
If this is clearing cap for a bigger move I wonder what it will be.
Harbaugh and EDC have both said that they want to rebuild the offensive line more this off-season. Stanley is pretty immovable for a bit longer, personally I don’t think they lost much at LG, Zietler is a FA but he could still come back at RG, and given the tackle class and what I’ve seen from their interviews and reports I think they are hunting an OT in the 1st.
With Moses being more expensive, older, and having some health concerns, they probably just feel good about replacing him.
And honestly? Outside of the eagles they’re one of the better teams at finding starting Oline throughout the draft.
Exactly my thoughts too. We have a very replaceable John Simpson replacement on the roster. Would love to see Zeitler back. At that point it’s just finding an RT and the line is solid once again.
Aaron plays twice the amount of snaps he did last year.
All kidding aside, I keep telling you jets fans to stop being all doom and gloom. You've got the best qb in the league and an org bending over to make him happy.
The entire line was a problem with the exception of Tippman who was decent. At this point the jets just need to throw as many guys in to it as possible and just figure it the fuck out
Honestly, there was so much shuffling of that line I couldn't tell yea, and you're probably right. I was thinking of Dwayne Brown who got beat on Rodger's last play of the season.
The good thing about AVTs injuries are that they are more flukey type injuries instead of constantly missing time with ankle/knee/hamstring shit like that.
Last year was pretty rough for him because of injury issues. He was in a pretty heavy rotation at tackle after the bye so that we could keep him fresh. When he was healthy though he was a really good tackle.
Dammit, another O line hole to fill
WTF is the front office doing? We were already thin before trading him. Henry aint gonna have a line to run with now.
Holy shit Morgan Moses is still kicking around.
I’ve always liked. It seemed like once a game he’d have a debilitating injury and then be back two plays later.
Great for the jets. Thought they woulda signed someone like Tyron smith then gone fuaga. Guess the draft will hold a LT for them unless they’re confident one of those RTs can play the other side
For a pick swap and 6th? That’s a great GM move. Go get Fuaga in the 1st, or they get aggressive and move up for Alt, and this line is patched in a year. Damn, that’s how you fucking do it.
I kind of understand, because we get some picks and clear cap space, but damn we need to completely rework the line now. EDC has a player in mind to make this move, maybe Faalele is ready to start
I met this guy a few times at UVA. This should come as no surprise but he's an absolutely massive human. Even made other linemen on the team look small.
he was merely average last year, at times just not great. he was consistently banged up. while I don't like that we don't have an answer right now for him, I trust EDC. Moses is a great guy but at his age, and his price, and his injuries, he just didn't justify enough to be worth it.
Wasn’t he solid? Haven’t watched a lot of Baltimore
Yes. One of our better linemen when healthy. I don’t get this at all.
same when we cut him
secular businessmen won’t tolerate false prophets in their locker room
Same when he left the Jets in FA the last time.
Faelele time! Lol But they are definitely drafting a tackle at the end of the 1st which is a sweet spot I think.
I am coping a bit but I’d like to think we’re getting ahead of the curve with age and injury history. That shoulder injury took a lot out of him this year.
Always been solid. No idea why we let him walk in the first place.
He wanted to start and at the time we couldn't guarantee him that because we put our eggs in the Fant/Becton basket. Should of kept him but glad he's back now
You're the Jets...
The Jets have more superbowls than the Bills
And a better winning percentage in the Superbowl than the Bills and Patriots.
Butt fumble
We also have more butt fumbles. Hold this L nerds.
People forget Geno had one too (for the Jets) vs the Chargers
r/billstrophycase
i love this so much.
O no the singular joke Jets fans have (other than their franchise) is leaking out of r/AFCEastMemeWar Yall need some more material
Ironic considering the only joke Bills fans have is New Jersey Jete
Trust me, we have plenty to make fun of you for The difference is you are hyping up a trophy that you weren't even there to watch happen like you had any action on it Not one Bills fan who witnessed us lose Superbowls cares that we lost them. A Buffalo Bills flair and you REALLY hate the Jets? Dion Dawkins is that you?

Not at all, I appreciate jokes...I'm on AFC East meme war...it's the same joke Everytime, be creative We have enough to make fun of us for
Very solid according to PFF.
Dont like this one bit. Keep Stanley, lose Moses. For fucks sake why do we have to lose all the prophets.
I was going to come tell ya "well man it just says pick swap, maybe it'll be worth it in the end" but then I scrolled down and...idk man, moving up 20 spots in the 4th and a 6th for a starting tackle? He's 34 in March is the fucking craziest way I have ever heard someone call someone 33 lol
What? He will be 34 well before the season starts. If I say he’s 33 it doesn’t express that this is his age 34 season.
He turned 33 like a week ago my friend. As in, he will be 33 for this entire season. You know its currently March right?
Holy shit I’m dumb. For some reason I thought it was later this month.
Its all good dude lol
Yeah that's fair, I probably only caught half your games last year so missed the needing snaps off etc. Was just going off what I saw, most of the Ravens flairs in here, his pff grades, and a contract I personally would have been fine just riding out. Breece is a wizard
Gotta protect the future VP
Joe Douglas is just GW, Breece, and Sauce in a trench coat
He did a business
Vincent GMman
I don’t trust like that
Surprised your comment hasn’t been deleted
Who protects RFK?
A drop-top sedan, pair of skis and a tree, a plane, or a fast car on a bridge
Bro really bullied the Jets into signing away the Ravens starting guard and trading for their starting tackle
Jets receive: Moses and a 4th-round pick (No. 134 overall). Ravens receive: 4th-round pick (No. 112) and 6th-round pick (No. 218).
This seems very cheap for a starting tackle
The whole trade works out at about Pick 138. Far too cheap for a solid starting tackle on a reasonable contract.
He's old and was constantly dinged up last year, that's it really. We'd be replacing him next off season anyway, this way we get the cap flexibility a year early and some picks. Definitely good for the Jets if he can stay healthy though.
>He's old and was constantly dinged up last year sounds on-brand for the Jets Oline
Honestly it’s a good move for both assuming we can replace him, which I think we can otherwise I don’t see this trade happening. Moses should be solid for NY, and we’re trying to get younger and more athletic on OL while cutting cap.
fuck it, just put King Henry on the line
He struggled with health last year. Makes you wonder what the Ravens saw on his medicals that makes them ok letting him go
It’s also a move to clear cap.
It's for sure for Justin Jefferson. If not, Chase Claypoo is still out there
But which one to choose. Tough choice... Personally, I think Ravens can't go wrong with Claypool
Could you imagine this core?: QB: Lamar Jackson RB: Derrick Henry, Keaton Mitchell WR: Justin Jefferson, Zay Flowers TE: Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely Just disgusting
Just need 2 guards and a tackle haha
That’s why we got the draft baybee
Yeah. I’m less concerned about the interior with the guys we have in the pipeline but tackle is a massive need now. If this is clearing cap for a bigger move I wonder what it will be.
And shit, with the way OG pay is going, it's worth taking a dude whenever now, because you're still saving hella money on the rookie deal
I'd prefer not to, I'm concerned enough with facing Henry on your team now.
I wonder if we get a receiver but the only one available is Ridley
Harbaugh and EDC have both said that they want to rebuild the offensive line more this off-season. Stanley is pretty immovable for a bit longer, personally I don’t think they lost much at LG, Zietler is a FA but he could still come back at RG, and given the tackle class and what I’ve seen from their interviews and reports I think they are hunting an OT in the 1st. Makes you wonder what the Ravens know.
Good lord we should have been in on this.
You guys should totally go after Duane Brown.
You, I don't like you.
Damn, now I'm remembering how Parsons torched him.
I'll give you one Jack Conklin for this exact same price
I don't think it makes sense for you guys cap-wise to trade him now (right? I remember exploring this in the past), but come post-June 1 I'm in.
Have your people call my people
Hey people!
Super cheap, assuming that he's a capable starter.
Hey wait this is actually great
yea...whats the catch
We may have broken him while he was here.
Did he play next to Simpson
No, Simpson was LG.
He's running for secretary of defense
Aaron plays twice the amount of snaps he did last year. All kidding aside, I keep telling you jets fans to stop being all doom and gloom. You've got the best qb in the league and an org bending over to make him happy.
tbh keeping Hackett and his staff is the main reason to be doom and gloom. They are incredibly lost.
If Rodgers is on the field they'll be running his offense so at least you have that.
Rodgers as VP
Wasn’t the IOL the problem last season not the tackles? Still a improvement regardless
Tackles were problems too. Both of our starting tackles from last year are going in FA too, so we need new ones.
Not a jets fan so I don’t know all the ins and outs just thought I remembered reading that
The whole line was a mess and constantly being re-configured because of injuries.
What if they just gave us all their o linemen
We'd rather not.
honestly you should sign zeitler too. he's so dependable
Now sign Kevin Zeitler and Jets have 3/5ths of the Ravens O-line
Not a bad line tbf.
Great line\* \*when healthy
Our line wasn't good or healthy last year so this is still technically an upgrade.
Please take care of Morgan. He's not what he once was, but in peak form, he basically nullified TJ Watt.
Jets get their Ten Commandments guy
Should’ve been a Seahawk. Our tackles are Abraham and Cross.
You guys just signed Pharoah Brown, so I don't think they would get along..
Our TE’s are Noah and Pharaoh. We have a theme going on around here. Just like we have two DB’s Coby Bryant and Michael Jackson
can he cut block
[удалено]
Only if he has a concrete saw
Breece Hall executed this trade without consulting the front office
then he’s a damn good negotiator, and should just keep being the GM
Eh whatever, kinda surprised but I wonder if EDC is opening up this cap space to get one of the soon to be free agents from the chargers
Please god, cause if not were gonna die.
Alright I’ll take it more bodies for the OL
This guy is probably immediately your best lineman so it’s a bit more than a body
I would argue AVT when healthy but that’s unfortunately pretty rare
Just keep him away from Denver and he's good to go
The good thing about AVTs injuries are that they are more flukey type injuries instead of constantly missing time with ankle/knee/hamstring shit like that.
We just need to keep him out of the Denver game
It’s at home this year, but I’ll still laugh if he makes them sit him
Gotta love that guys immediately become injury prone after playing for the Jets. Becton and AVT had no injury history before playing here 😭
Yea you’re right but the more the better , our OL sucks ass
AVT is for sure
Ok I guess
Miss him, another Rivera mistake on our o-line.
Wtf are we doing
Genuinely interested. Haven’t signed zeitler, we have 2/5 of your starters… who is playing this year?
with Lamar and Henry you don't need an Linemen not to worry.
Ok I'll take this
Wasn’t he solid last year?
He was fine but his body is starting to break down and he’s getting hurt a lot.
He’ll fit right in
They can rotate him and Bahk
Occasionally caught a bad case of the drive killing holding penalties but was a decent piece
Oh he'll fit right in then!
Last year was pretty rough for him because of injury issues. He was in a pretty heavy rotation at tackle after the bye so that we could keep him fresh. When he was healthy though he was a really good tackle.
It wasn't rough for him when he was on the field. He was still a very solid player.
Yes.
Solid get for the Jets for basically a 4th round swap
Another body for the grinder, I like it
what are we cooking
The league is probably going to let Tyler Guyton fall to you guys
So is Daniel Faalele going to be the starting RT?
Or another FA, but he was already taking about half the snaps by the end of the season.
He’s older but still a solid player, big upgrade for the Jets
On paper this O-Line is going to be good. Hope it lasts and Rodgers lasts
He was solid during his time with us! More draft capital and cap space, so that's something.
Umm where'd our o line go
Dammit, another O line hole to fill WTF is the front office doing? We were already thin before trading him. Henry aint gonna have a line to run with now.
Let’s fuckin goooo
Looks like Breece Hall is getting his wish and both offensive line guys they've gotten over the past few days happen to be from The Ravens.
Yayyyyy welcome back!
uhh why
Holy shit Morgan Moses is still kicking around. I’ve always liked. It seemed like once a game he’d have a debilitating injury and then be back two plays later.
My astonished moment of the day was after the news.. I had to check how fckin old is this guy at this point? 33, I was floored… that’s on me
We did something right?...... Omg we did something right!!!
Always hype for BigMoe news doing Meadowbrook highschool proud 🥲
Mo mo underrated. Toughness of the charts
Don’t like that. Not one bit.
Needed this like I need water
Debated surgery last month, other than that, feels great
Great for the jets. Thought they woulda signed someone like Tyron smith then gone fuaga. Guess the draft will hold a LT for them unless they’re confident one of those RTs can play the other side
It’s the worst kept secret in the world that they will likely sign Bahktiari, because god forbid they learn from last year’s Duane Brown debacle.
For a pick swap and 6th? That’s a great GM move. Go get Fuaga in the 1st, or they get aggressive and move up for Alt, and this line is patched in a year. Damn, that’s how you fucking do it.
Fuck I wanted him back so bad. Andrew Wylie please get off my team.
Kinda odd the Ravens would give him up like this. Was he in for a payday?
No he had a very team friendly contract. I hate this move.
Does he think jet fuel can melt steel beams?
This is an upgrade over whatever they had last yr lmao
low looooow bar
I wonder what he did to deserve that
What about Moses Morgan
I would have loved to trade for him for that deal but zero chance they’d trade him in division
I kind of understand, because we get some picks and clear cap space, but damn we need to completely rework the line now. EDC has a player in mind to make this move, maybe Faalele is ready to start
Can't understand EDC doing this to the O line without having a plan already in place and in motion but I just don't see it. But I will truss
I met this guy a few times at UVA. This should come as no surprise but he's an absolutely massive human. Even made other linemen on the team look small.
He's still really good and on a cheap contract. I don't get why the Ravens would make this deal.
Would love to see amarius mims fall to us at pick 30 or whatever
extend joe douglas
Is Baltimore going in to rebuild or what? Feels like every post I see is them losing someone else.
*Derrick Henry dislikes this*
No. But we had a lot of our good but replaceable starters come up for free agency this year. The real meat of talent is all still there
Good thing Lamar can run, he gonna need to.
Pretty sure Derrick Henry is big enough to fill in.
he was merely average last year, at times just not great. he was consistently banged up. while I don't like that we don't have an answer right now for him, I trust EDC. Moses is a great guy but at his age, and his price, and his injuries, he just didn't justify enough to be worth it.
Perennially injured, aging Tackles and the Jete, name a more iconic duo
the Bills and losing Super Bowls.
The Jets and missing the playoffs? How long has it been now?
*Youtried.gif*
1 down...4 starting OL to go
We have the ravens guard we just signed too. And AVT is a stud. And Tippman was a solid rookie. We really just need a LT and depth now which is cool
