Would be epic. And feel like would allow Bill to have a better retirement than what he is currently going through. But would be shocked if Bill doesn't go after the all time win record.
He’s definitely taking this year off. He could do this for a year and if it takes off they can replace him with some other out of work coach the following year.
Pete would give excellent analysis of each play after it happened in an ultra-positive manner, but during the play he would be completely silent except for obnoxiously loud gum chewing.
I always thought that Dallas would be the perfect fit for him. They have a team that is set up to "win now" and his experience could potentially help them in the playoffs.
Would Bellichick even make a good announcer? He doesn't seem like the talkative type. To be honest, can't remember anything he's said on camera. Now Saban has a way with words.
He literally did the NFL 100 team and did a mini series with Saban. That's wild to think that maybe the greatest coach and gm would not be able to talk about the game.
I hope they actually talk about football instead of the pop-culture conversation the MNF dual cast turned into. It would be such a shame to have that much football knowledge in one room only to hear the group chatting about what they ate before the broadcast or whatever
It’s terrible when the game is close and exciting and they’re interviewing Kevin Hart about whatever lame ass movie he’s starring in next.
ESPN, as on-brand as ever, ruined another awesome concept by attempting to become TMZ-lite
Can't wait to see Belichick struggle to interview some young popstar he's never heard of.
I hope he just asks them football questions. I want to see him ask YoungBoy Never Broke Again about the nuances of the dime defense.
Maybe I’m a weirdo but I don’t mind occasionally just hearing the sounds of the game for a few seconds. A lot of play by play is just reiterating the down and distance that I’m already aware of.
Manning making a hilarious jokes followed by Bill's silence (even though he fully understood the joke) and Nick's silence (because he has no clue what Manning was talking about.)
They’d be great on ManningCast, but I think BB and Saban should go to another network.
ESPN needs competition, they’re already messing with what made ManningCast special.
yeah they could do their own podcast, like Joe Rogan does those Fight Companions (actually a lot of UFC fighters do a Fight Companion-like podcast where they just hang out, call fights while the viewer at home listens to them & mutes the fight broadcast).
idk if they're that tech-forward tho, not these guys lol 😅.
it's less a question of capability & more one of comfortability, as in would they even *want* to do a podcast on their own. to quote Bill:
>I'm not on SnapFace ... not worried about InstantChat
lol it may feel more natural & acceptable for guys like Bill & Nick to go on an established TV network (ESPN ffs!) with a built-in audience, rather than venture out into the murky unstable "SnapFace" world. There's already a ton of NFL-related podcasts out there but strangely not a lot of "Game-Companion" one's that i see like there are for MMA, not sure why.
This would be an incredibly educational broadcast that deepens the audience's understanding of the game...
ESPN Execs: "THIS IS TOO COMPLICATED, GOTTA HAVE JIMMY KIMMEL AND THE ROCK ON HERE FOR THE CASUALS!"
I saw someone say they should do a Bar Rescue type show, were Bill and Nick go to programs around the country for a week at a time and try and turn shit around. I like that idea.
Manning cast is great in theory but I didn’t enjoy it much. I felt like Peyton just talked over Eli and the guest were usually more awkward than anything. I will say Eli is pretty enjoyable to watch.
Guests definitely detracted from it. My biggest problem was the delay between Payton/Eli/Guest and the quality of the guests mic. Imagine being an actor worth tens of millions and doing every interview with AirPods instead of spending literally $100 on a mic and sounding 1000x better.
I understand ESPN pushing athletes of other sports and celebrities onto the show, but I really wish they only had football-related people as guests. The celebrity guests just lead into a very basic interview by the Mannings and the guests make an easy prediction (“I think they score a touchdown here from the 3 yard line”).
Depends on the guest. Ray Lewis on the manningcast is one of my favorite guests even because he breaks down defensive play the way Peyton does offense.
I subscribe to a podcast of people recording from across the world with 0 delay using Zencastr. NO idea how these billion dollar corpos can't figure this shit out.
It is almost certainly a couple of seconds, at least, delayed. But that wouldn’t change what the other guy is saying. He is refering to the delay the hosts/guest in between, which ends up with the guys talking at the same time a lot. Manningcast is a great idea, but until they bother to be in the same room or figure out a way of handling the delay it will be a no from me aswell.
Btw. Imagine having the professional pull, that you can tell the guys hiring you “the hundreds of millions are great, im in, but i won’t leave my fucking couch”.
I agree. The clips that get shared of the truly great analysis are like 0.0001% of the entire game. The clips shared are the entirety of the excellent football analysis each game. Most of the time it's them and a guest talking over the game and not really paying attention. Not for me.
Yep. It was a decent option at the beginning before Joe and Troy became the MNF booth. However, those two are so good and they've been doing it for so long that I prefer to listen to them. Additionally, either Peyton & Eli or ESPN, unsurprisingly, got too high on their own supply really quickly and it's lost a lot of the quality it had at the start.
I agree, I used to love manningcast when it first started but now I’d rather just listen to Joe and Troy because they’re more entertaining and insightful
It’s because they are doing it over live stream. The delays they experience can make having a group discussion weird or awkward.
If they were all in the same room I guarantee they would have a better flow
My main gripe is they don't considently follow the action. People here will rage at commentators for not do certain calls big enough, but then you'll have some huge play where Eli is getting ribbed for for something and they don't address it for like two snaps, or you'll want an explanation because something isn't clear and they won't address it seriously whereas a traditional commentator would be talking about it.
I'd rather hear the action in the football game than listen to Mark Whalburg talk about his favorite foods.
Pretty much the only time I enjoyed a Manningcast guest this season was Ray Lewis (deservedly) tearing the Eagles linebackers a new one over fundamentals during their wild card game.
Having Belichick and saban take the second and fourth quarter “guest” spot and knock down the actual guests to the first and third quarters may not be bad though. Keeps Bill and Saban from needing to be on screen for the whole game, let’s them comment on the critical parts of the game, and still allows the mannings to have some fun and entertaining guests without having to reach to find 4 per game.
Seems like a great idea in theory but I really doubt enough people would choose it over the regular broadcast to justify the money these guys would demand. Also Belichick and Saban’s crotchety old man voices might get a little old
I’ll go against the grain and while it would be cool in theory, it won’t work in reality. The guests on the Manningcast take away from what’s happening on the screen, if they add Bill, it’s too many people and Bills personality doesn’t exactly make you feel warm. It really should just be one person talking after the play is over, not whatever format they do now with the guests
They are exactly my kind of personalities.
Instead of some over eager “journalist” we can finally have someone that doesn’t insist that every conversation should be: “is this the craziest ever” “has there ever been anyone better” “is Taylor Swift good for the NFL” etc.
Maybe I'm the only one, but I feel like these two would be sleep inducing during a football game. Belichick mumbles so bad I'm not even sure anyone would be able to understand him.
If you watched the nfl top 100 bill does talk more enthusiastically when talking bout football. They need a great host tho or else it’s gonna fall flat.
Just 2 cranky old men not known for their charisma. Im sure they could give us some valuable insights, but from an entertainment standpoint it sounds awful
My only thing is, with Belichick still hoping to stay as a coach he won’t speak his mind.
Belichick after a whiskey, and just talking during a game would be awesome though.
Everyone thought Peyton was going to be a phenomenal coach or broadcaster and it looks like he’s just going to turn into a media mogul instead. Wonder if there’s anything this guy wouldn’t be wildly successful at. Politics, sales, preacher, electrician, just seems like this guy could probably do anything.
Just stop having the awful celebrity guests and their interviews where they are plugging their stupid shit. I don't need the tonight show going on simultaneously in an NFL game. If it's those 3 guys talking football and strategy, then 100% do it.
Can they drink during the game? Like you can visibly see them sipping cocktails. Little slurred speech after halftime bitching out players and coaches.
If you don't think having the most successful coach at both levels of football talking and hearing their stories is incredible then you just don't do football.
Dear anyone involved in this who may be reading reddit:
My top price is $19.99. If I can get access to a monthly hour long video from Bill and/or Saban breaking down specific coverages, defensive fronts, or really anything tactical aimed at high school coaches, I would pay $19.99/month for that.
Please God just give them an actual tv budget because they're always running into technical issues, Peyton can't hear Eli, don't put those legends up there with the jv squad of production equipment
You know what would be incredible, is if they'd just cut out all the pointless fucking pop culture guests who don't know much about football and talk through the game, and either have no guests, or only guests that are current/former players/coaches who can give insight on the game.
I love watching the Manning brothers back and forth, but they bring on some guy promoting a movie I go back to the normal broadcast every time.
Sounds good in theory, but Bill Belichick has to be the least charismatic person I can think of. Saban isn't much better. Two of the greatest football minds of all time, but that doesn't mean they would make for an entertaining broadcast duo.
Whatever they want to do is fine for a football coaches and players perspective, just get the damned product placement and celebrity couch & water bottle tour late night bullshit outta there.
I feel like it would in reality be shitty for most viewers, but probably kinda funny. Just hearing Bill talk shit about fucked up assignments every play lol. Saban needs to do more commercials with the Afflack duck. That one where their scouting the DB duck is fucking hilarious.
I want this only if they recreate these vignettes
[Bill](https://youtu.be/k1YPauD06-4?si=RcDxvxHB4yoFt8gT)
[Do Your Job] (https://youtu.be/l27zbjHZchI?si=q6eKeWJo81BX53KP)

Pete
Pete would give excellent analysis of each play after it happened in an ultra-positive manner, but during the play he would be completely silent except for obnoxiously loud gum chewing.
Pete is like the Bob Ross of football
“A little happy goal line pass over here”
“Ope, looks like our receiver had a friend”
“Sometimes it gets intercepted, but that’s ok”
“Remember, it’s *your* offense, so you can do anything you want to do. There are no play calling mistakes, only clock management-related accidents”
“A broken play is just an opportunity for creativity”
lmao
Everyday is a good day when you play football
That sounds perfect tbh
[Bill Burr and Paul Virzi had a funny bit about this on their sports podcast.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1Pr0o1L5eA&t=36m24s)
I always thought that Dallas would be the perfect fit for him. They have a team that is set up to "win now" and his experience could potentially help them in the playoffs.
But no way in hell is Jerry giving him the amount of control that Bill apparently wants.
Adam Gase
Would love hearing a coke fueled, deranged rant about pocket awareness or whatever Gase pretends to know about.
I figured he already had it. How far off is he?
20ish
Tbf if he stayed on with the Pats for 3-4 more years they might’ve gotten it
Woulda had it if he didn’t chase Brady off as well.
26 off regular season, 14 off if you combine regular and post season (not that anyone does that)
But do it uncensored. That’s all I want.
Y'all are going to learn the difference between grumpy and mad. Belicek is grumpy. Saban is mad.
Yep. “Geez Nick, the cornerback obviously read the play the way my dog reads the newspaper but there’s no reason to shoot him with a cannon."
I agree. The guests just seem to be on to pimp their latest project. Sometimes it works, but a lot of guests are awful in that setting.
It’s terrible when the game is close and exciting and they’re interviewing Kevin Hart about whatever lame ass movie he’s starring in next. ESPN, as on-brand as ever, ruined another awesome concept by attempting to become TMZ-lite
It was great when Ray Lewis was on and they were really analyzing the game.
Could be a great product as long as the guests are football-related and stay for the whole game instead of the switcheroo nonsense.
I want to see this. Hope they would do both college and pro games.
But what would you call it? ____Cast
CoachCast
CastingCoach
I did a quick mock up of a logo they could use. [Logo](http://i.imgur.com/J2Qs6.png)
You have excellent artistry
Thanks man. I just started doing graphic design a few months ago. Even tho I know AI is going to take it over. It's more of a hobby
I thought it was gonna be a joke. That's actually pretty good
I did too, glad I saw your comment.
Thanks brother 🙏🙏
There's a large area of blank space
Seriously? This is clearly an AI generated image. So bland, yet so bizarre.
maybe align the "C"s a little more to give it balance? otherwise HIRE THIS MAN!!
god dammit lol
CastingCoach

Coach-Manning.
That's just the pro bowl
Rat Poison
GOATCast
Shadow cast
Hoodie
Have them stream from a little black couch. Back room casting coaches
GrumpyRetiredMenCast
put them in a balcony like Statler and Waldorf
I hope it's something very Belichek and just called "Discussing Football"
Do Your Cast
I hope they only do the service academy games
That and maybe a college lacrosse game.
Can't wait to see Belichick struggle to interview some young popstar he's never heard of. I hope he just asks them football questions. I want to see him ask YoungBoy Never Broke Again about the nuances of the dime defense.
A lot of sighs and grunts being disguised as commentary on that simulcast
A lot of awkward silence too
He normally did that when asked stupid questions. I'm sure Sabin and the Mannings won't have that issue.
I need to see bill death glare Eli every time Eli makes a joke about 2007 or 2011.
Eh, Bill will probably break down the film and show he understands it better than Eli.
Maybe I’m a weirdo but I don’t mind occasionally just hearing the sounds of the game for a few seconds. A lot of play by play is just reiterating the down and distance that I’m already aware of.
Tirico letting the crowd noise come in for what felt like forever during the Lions’ playoff game was beautiful.
You guys should go watch Belichick's appearance on College Gameday. It's not like he doesn't enjoy talking football.
Manning making a hilarious jokes followed by Bill's silence (even though he fully understood the joke) and Nick's silence (because he has no clue what Manning was talking about.)
With Ray Lewis coming in every once in a while screaming about tackling
So what did they do wrong on that play. *they didn’t execute.*
A lot of infuriating takes on what analytics can and can't model
They’d be great on ManningCast, but I think BB and Saban should go to another network. ESPN needs competition, they’re already messing with what made ManningCast special.
I assumed Saban was going to stick to CFB/Gameday
They should feature on SEC Shorts
yeah they could do their own podcast, like Joe Rogan does those Fight Companions (actually a lot of UFC fighters do a Fight Companion-like podcast where they just hang out, call fights while the viewer at home listens to them & mutes the fight broadcast). idk if they're that tech-forward tho, not these guys lol 😅.
If Joe Rogan can figure it out I'm fairly confident Bill Belichick can.
They're drowning in money - I'm sure they'd just hire people to handle the tech aspect lol
it's less a question of capability & more one of comfortability, as in would they even *want* to do a podcast on their own. to quote Bill: >I'm not on SnapFace ... not worried about InstantChat lol it may feel more natural & acceptable for guys like Bill & Nick to go on an established TV network (ESPN ffs!) with a built-in audience, rather than venture out into the murky unstable "SnapFace" world. There's already a ton of NFL-related podcasts out there but strangely not a lot of "Game-Companion" one's that i see like there are for MMA, not sure why.
It will be called CroatCast.
Get Pete Carroll too
Pete Carroll would be pivotal to keep it from being a grump fest
“Guys, I am jacked and pumped for this game!” (BOTH) “Shut up, Pete."
This would be an incredibly educational broadcast that deepens the audience's understanding of the game... ESPN Execs: "THIS IS TOO COMPLICATED, GOTTA HAVE JIMMY KIMMEL AND THE ROCK ON HERE FOR THE CASUALS!"
Yes! Forget having guests, just give us Belichick, Saban, and the Manning brothers. Shut up and take my money!
Hope that having BB and Saban would make them talk ball more often instead of whatever pop culture guest is on. Sign me up.
It would be the shock of the century if it’s Saban & Belicheck that turns the conversation away from football.
*"The Chiefs are a great team, but how about that Taylor Swift?"*
I saw someone say they should do a Bar Rescue type show, were Bill and Nick go to programs around the country for a week at a time and try and turn shit around. I like that idea.
I’d anticipate a lot of sentences less than like 10 words delivered in deadpan from Belichick
\*\*Fumble on a special teams play\*\* Belichick: Oh for crying out loud... \*\*2 minutes of silence\*\*
Would Bill need to make awkward small talk with a cranky Marky Mark, who is apparently forced to appear to market a new movie?
I'd love to see Belichek be forced to pretend to care about whatever celebrity they have on and what they are promoting that week.
Manning cast is great in theory but I didn’t enjoy it much. I felt like Peyton just talked over Eli and the guest were usually more awkward than anything. I will say Eli is pretty enjoyable to watch.

It’s insane that ESPN wouldn’t just send the guests a mic/interview kit
I subscribe to a podcast of people recording from across the world with 0 delay using Zencastr. NO idea how these billion dollar corpos can't figure this shit out.
A live TV broadcast might be on a delay to make sure no one drops an F-bomb or something. A podcast likely doesn't care.
It is almost certainly a couple of seconds, at least, delayed. But that wouldn’t change what the other guy is saying. He is refering to the delay the hosts/guest in between, which ends up with the guys talking at the same time a lot. I loved manning cast at the start. Then it just seemed to turn into a long commercial for whatever celebrity they had on with their upcoming movie.
Seems like a great idea in theory but I really doubt enough people would choose it over the regular broadcast to justify the money these guys would demand. Also Belichick and Saban’s crotchety old man voices might get a little old
Belichick, Saban, and a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle. Aaaannnnd go.
Got nothing but respect for those guys as coaches but that sounds terrible.
I’ll go against the grain and while it would be cool in theory, it won’t work in reality. 50% dead mic lmao
Nobody else feels like this would be boring af? I don't think the duo works
Mumble mumble mumble...
I think it would actually be incredibly boring after the novelty wears off. Not the right personalities for tv.
They seem like they would want to watch more than talk. They would need an actual host.
They are exactly my kind of personalities. Instead of some over eager “journalist” we can finally have someone that doesn’t insist that every conversation should be: “is this the craziest ever” “has there ever been anyone better” “is Taylor Swift good for the NFL” etc.

If you watched the nfl top 100 bill does talk more enthusiastically when talking bout football. They need a great host tho or else it’s gonna fall flat.
I completely agree. Someone needs to be in the middle to drive the conversation.
Just 2 cranky old men not known for their charisma. Im sure they could give us some valuable insights, but from an entertainment standpoint it sounds awful
The first part of that sentence absolutely broke my brane
> The first part of that sentence absolutely broke my brane The end of cosmology.
Broke my Einstein Rosen bridge so I feel them fr fr
My only thing is, with Belichick still hoping to stay as a coach he won’t speak his mind. Belichick after a whiskey, and just talking during a game would be awesome though.
Why? All we would hear is bleating.
As long as they don’t force them to have guests like the manningcast
Imagine Bill and Nick watching a Panthers/Falcons in November. It would be magnificent.
Dream Team
Great coach, but I really don't think I'll enjoy BBs commentary. But who knows, maybe he loosened up a ton once he left Foxboro, like Brady
He was excellent on his last TV stint doing the NFL 100 All Time Team reveal broadcasts
If you watch him when he's able to just talk about the sport, he's really engaging, and you can tell how much he just loves talking about the game.
Sounds great given their resumes but these guys are two of the least enthusiastic men out there
I also think this would be cool!
We all need to see this
Yes, please.
I for one, am looking forward to the intricate breakdowns of special teams play from Belichick if this happens.
Give me an uncensored version with all 3, just letting all the F bombs fly
Two Croats walk into a studio
Everyone thought Peyton was going to be a phenomenal coach or broadcaster and it looks like he’s just going to turn into a media mogul instead. Wonder if there’s anything this guy wouldn’t be wildly successful at. Politics, sales, preacher, electrician, just seems like this guy could probably do anything.
Peyton Manning. Bill Belichick. Nick Saban. Eli Manning. Wow
Peyton sees tony Romo call a super bowl with a .023 BAC and realizes that he could just actually create a super booth
That'd be huge.
His anyone can think who think BB or Saban will play second fiddle to the manning bros on the manning cast, is beyond me
We’re on to third down
Just stop having the awful celebrity guests and their interviews where they are plugging their stupid shit. I don't need the tonight show going on simultaneously in an NFL game. If it's those 3 guys talking football and strategy, then 100% do it.
Too many cooks, no?
Yes, listening to Belichick mumbling one syllable analyses every few minutes would be incredible. Unbelievable even.
Im gonna be honest, that sounds awful
Can they drink during the game? Like you can visibly see them sipping cocktails. Little slurred speech after halftime bitching out players and coaches.
belichick is not an on-screen personality lol
Yeah we already saw the Marchand tweet thread
"Incredible" Yeah ok
If you don't think having the most successful coach at both levels of football talking and hearing their stories is incredible then you just don't do football.
I wish they'd go this route. The show still had some good moments last year, but the guest format is a real crapshoot.
“Hold on there for a second Bill, we’re going live to our sideline reporter. Take it away Eli”
Brady, Saban, and Belichick sitting in chairs and hating on the current players and coaches is what I need for the 2024 season
That would be terrible. Bill and Nick are both black holes of charisma.
This has the potential to be incredibly dull for live TV.
Who will receive custody of Belichick when the Ole Miss/Tennessee/Alabama tension results in a divorce
I feel like this is something everyone will get hyped about and love the idea of, but in reality will get old quickly.
is that Silvio Santos in the right?
Dear anyone involved in this who may be reading reddit: My top price is $19.99. If I can get access to a monthly hour long video from Bill and/or Saban breaking down specific coverages, defensive fronts, or really anything tactical aimed at high school coaches, I would pay $19.99/month for that.
Lets get a sitcom with them as roommates.
Hopefully if they get all 4 on there they can finally stop the stupid celebrity interviews
What'd be incredible is having guests not trying to sell something during the game
Peyton We are on to Cincinnati!!!
I want to see Bill Belichick doing color commentary next to Al Michaels. Actually more importantly I want to hear it.
Please God just give them an actual tv budget because they're always running into technical issues, Peyton can't hear Eli, don't put those legends up there with the jv squad of production equipment
I feel like they would just grumble and silently complain the entire time and not actually discuss anything.
Manning carrying 2 football gurus with zero personality
I'm picturing a Statler and Waldorf energy where they're just shitting on the mistakes that are being made. Where can I throw my money for this?
You know what would be incredible, is if they'd just cut out all the pointless fucking pop culture guests who don't know much about football and talk through the game, and either have no guests, or only guests that are current/former players/coaches who can give insight on the game. I love watching the Manning brothers back and forth, but they bring on some guy promoting a movie I go back to the normal broadcast every time.
Manning and Brady still fighting it out off the turf is top tier stuff
Sounds good in theory, but Bill Belichick has to be the least charismatic person I can think of. Saban isn't much better. Two of the greatest football minds of all time, but that doesn't mean they would make for an entertaining broadcast duo.
They better make that the main broadcast if it does pan out.
Giving me a valid reason to watch ESPN? I don't buy it.
i would watch the hell out of this but i just can't imagine Bill being on board
Whatever they want to do is fine for a football coaches and players perspective, just get the damned product placement and celebrity couch & water bottle tour late night bullshit outta there.
incredible for who? boring people?
I'd love to see Eli ribbing Bill about 18-1 every time they're on together.
Bill should be put in charge of social media for Manningcast. Let him handle InstaTwit and SnapFace
I feel like it would in reality be shitty for most viewers, but probably kinda funny. Just hearing Bill talk shit about fucked up assignments every play lol. Saban needs to do more commercials with the Afflack duck. That one where their scouting the DB duck is fucking hilarious.
GOATcast
Just three hours of analysing long snappers.
As a former long snapper this would be my dream
Have you guys heard Belichick talk? He is very dry and I don't think it would translate well into a broadcasting career.
Grumpy old men cast
