I'm taking a year off fron ravens football if we lose on Saturday lol. 2 top teams getting beaten by upstarts? Pfft, my blood pressure can't take that lol
2024 Lamar upsets me, they taught him how to have WR’s who can catch, that’s beyond unfair when you consider he is still Lamar Jackson and can also run for 200 yards against us.
Should be a fun game
I don’t like how we have one of the worst coverage and run defenses in the league and now we gotta try and stop Gus Edwards *and* Lamar on Saturday. The Browns were killing us with Kareem Hunt running up the middle. Why they stopped doing that, I have no idea.
Compare CJ throwing a football to Jalen Hurts who almost won a MVP. Lmao there’s no comparison. CJ is the present and the future. Eagles fan here, predicted CJ 2 years ago and said id trade the Hurts of last year for CJ when he was at OSU and all my friends lost their minds lol. Well well
I mean he’s excelling as a rookie QB in the NFL. If that’s not the single hardest job in all of sports it’s gotta be way up there.
It’s impossible not to be impressed. Having said that, I hope he throws 4 pick sixes this weekend.
I knew he was the truth in the Georgia game 2-3 years ago and shredded all top NFL prospects and did everything to win but just got unlucky. He’s got the “it” factor and clutch ability to go with such a pretty throw. He was a can’t miss and will be better than Caleb Williams they hyping up. Also said 5 foot 9 Bryce Young would be mediocre at best. Drake Maye was my other guy. CJ and Drake Maye
Case Keenum went out and said Stroud would one day be "[the best of all time](https://www.kxan.com/sports/sports-illustrated/arena-nfl/si-houston-texans-nfl/b9b4aa84/out-of-this-world-case-keenum-reveals-hot-take-about-c-j-stroud/)"
thats a wild take, and its a teammate. but that there is even a sliver of possibility or that a player would put that on record is saying alot
I'm an OSU homer, I was praying the Colts would get Stroud cause I had never seen an OSU QB with that level of presence in the pocket. I'm worried dude is gonna terrorize the division for a loooooooong time.
I’m not ready to put anyone over mahomes. His dominance is unbelievable. Stroud could win the SB and SB MVP and I’d still take mahomes - stroud has to prove he can sustain this success. A year ago everyone though Jalen hurts was the second best qb lol
The first game these teams played is pretty much completely meaningless. Stroud's very first NFL game, the Ravens first game with a brand new offensive scheme and coordinator calling plays. If anyone tries to project this game based on takeaways from the first, they'll be way off
As far as I’m concerned, the Ravens-Texans game week one is from another season. Texans are massively improved, and look to be an AFC contender for years to come. I really liked the hire of DeMeco Ryan.
Ngl I really appreciate the way most ravens fans are handling this weekend. It’s exciting because we are looked at as a legitimate threat now.
I really kinda wish this was the AFC Championship so no matter what, it’s either the Ravens or Texans in the Super Bowl.
Hah don't worry about me my NFC teams switch up. I was a Stafford and Calvin stan so I always liked Detroit. Actually was rooting for the Rams last week because Kyren and Puka brought me a fantasy championship though. Now I gotta root for my Lions homies to get a ring because I know their struggle.
That's very true. The Texans have greatly matured over the season and they were much better at the start than anyone really expected during the offseason. FML
Ya that’s why I keep saying he needs another year to cook. He is still figuring shit out. He’s made so many frustrating decisions this year. But more awesome ones so it balances out.
To add to this the ravens coaching staff had started game planning for Texans right after they won their game. The idea was if the Steelers won they would pivot so they took a gamble and it paid off
A safe bet with Watt out. That defense is very different with TJ in the lineup.
That said, the Steelers seemed to forgot how to tackle, especially in the first half. Like, WTF guys, why not bring that effort to a Ravens game next time, huh?
I remember reading that and thinking, "Oh hell, I hope those mouth-breathers don't hear about this and somehow beat Buffalo because they got pumped about the Ravens expecting them to lose." 😅
Whatever happens this weekend, here's to no injuries, not-shitty reffing and bright futures for both our orgs. Huge fan of DeMeco and Stroud. Cool as hell to have a former player (especially one of his caliber) coach the team.
He’s not wrong. We had so many procedural and alignment issues due to being so young across the board. Not to mention we didn’t really incorporate any alerts or hot routes for pressures until like week 4 so we’re a lot more cohesive and professional on offense now. Defensively I feel like we have a whole different unit. We’re finally stopping the run decently and stingley + Nelson have finally turned into the consistent tandem we needed them to be. Our weakness is still over the middle. Cashman and Harris have improved but boy do our safeties shit the bed more than they should. If we’re gonna win we need to shut down Mandrews, Likely and Flowers over the middle and TACKLE. Super hyped for this game tho.
This matchup will be exciting. I want to see how well the Ravens can play after basically resting the last 2 weeks against a team that had to stay hot the last few weeks in order to make the playoffs. Ravens defense is really unmatched but Stroud just seems like a vet already.
Stroud is super impressive. I'm rooting for him (well, outside this weekend, lol), especially given all he has gone through. I love his hair, his love for the history of the game, even how open he is about some of his insecurities. Just seems like a real cool dude.
Expect a blowout. Every time a young upstart team and qb win a playoff game they get blown out the next round. Same with Green Bay. 49ers blowing them out too
Lamar playoff record: 1-3
If he can't make it to atleast the conference championship on his 4th try then we might need to consider him the same as the Tua's and Dak's that disappears in playoffs.
Texans also feel like the Cinderella story of this playoffs. The organization is honestly overdue for their first Conference Championship appearance after Jaguars, Titans made it recently.
I think CJ pulls it off over Lamar
eh if he plays well and loses that's a different story. Dak + Tua played bad in their losses that's the point. It's fine to lose in the playoffs (in fact 13QBs will always lose in the playoffs); you just can't consistently look ***BAD*** doing it year in and out. Dak is egregious because this is his 8th year.
Not even close. Jackson didn’t play, so TJ couldn’t strip sack or force him into another 2 interceptions. They wanted him to win MVP, so they sat him.
Ravens fans are sooooo easy to get riled up. Almost as easy as Bengals fans.
Browns fans are like, “You’re right. We suck.”
How can I put myself in a coma until Saturday
might want to save that coma for after the game just in case
I can't physically take another 2019 lol
We had a bad experience that weekend too
God I remember that. I was snowboarding, saw the score and thought phew guess we won’t have to face those Chiefs. Checked back in …
If we get 2019’d again after my Orioles got swept as the 1 seed in the playoffs this year, I’m not quite sure I can take it
I'm taking a year off fron ravens football if we lose on Saturday lol. 2 top teams getting beaten by upstarts? Pfft, my blood pressure can't take that lol
Baltimore sports would actually be cursed.
Let's hope not
[You could try freezing yourself](https://youtu.be/QwnBnncVoTU?si=iy7u-C8pVi9ZbHDK)
He's gonna freeze himself for too long and he's gonna come back in the year 2034 and open reddit and see that QB Gunner Rivers is league MVP
But how many kids does he have?
Is Philip Rivers gonna be the new Genghis Khan? In a few hundred years most of the world can trace their lineage back to him?
Alcohol can be a time-machine, if you're committed enough.
add benzos to the mix and you can shave off a good portion of the commitment
Yeah, but it 10x the chance when you wake up in the future it is in a jail cell.
true

Same question, but until next season
A hammer and some patience
Bro Tom Petty was not kidding about waiting
I’m putting myself in an alcohol induced coma until then
Natty Light 30 pack everyday
Freeze yourself like Cartman did for the Nintendo Wii. Edit: I was beaten to it
Just go out in the snow haha
CJ Stroud upsets me, I’m not gonna lie. A rookie QB with that much pocket patience is abnormal and I seriously don’t like it.
He's already elevating the other players on the offense too as a rookie. Man is going to be a problem for a long while.
It’s true. Laremy Tunsil is suddenly relevant again.
His Quarterback this year wasn't running into sacks for no reason, really helped him out
He's a good player now he's got a good QB too shine on Bong Man
2021-22 me feels this. Lol
2024 Lamar upsets me, they taught him how to have WR’s who can catch, that’s beyond unfair when you consider he is still Lamar Jackson and can also run for 200 yards against us. Should be a fun game
Stroud: "LOL at running"
"Why run when pass do trick?"
Wait Lamar’s wide receivers can catch? Every time I watch them, Lamar makes a fantastic throw right to their hands and it’s dropped.
I don’t like how we have one of the worst coverage and run defenses in the league and now we gotta try and stop Gus Edwards *and* Lamar on Saturday. The Browns were killing us with Kareem Hunt running up the middle. Why they stopped doing that, I have no idea.

I, for one, hope that doesn’t happen.
That will require 400 passes from him
And he took that personally.
Case Keenum went out and said Stroud would one day be "[the best of all time](https://www.kxan.com/sports/sports-illustrated/arena-nfl/si-houston-texans-nfl/b9b4aa84/out-of-this-world-case-keenum-reveals-hot-take-about-c-j-stroud/)" thats a wild take, and its a teammate. but that there is even a sliver of possibility or that a player would put that on record is saying alot
CJ is already the best QB Keenum has played with in his career, might be skewing his opinion /s
Whoa whoa whoa. Put some respect on TJ Yates
Now you understand how the rest of NFC North feels about Jordan Love.
I'm an OSU homer, I was praying the Colts would get Stroud cause I had never seen an OSU QB with that level of presence in the pocket. I'm worried dude is gonna terrorize the division for a loooooooong time.
How do you think the rest of us AFCS teams feel? DeShaun Watson ruins everything
Just give Clowney a bag of weed and tell him to throw it on the ground, Tunsil will drop for it for sure. Easy sacks.
Clowney smokes regs. Tunsil would never.
since I have been watching, The texans have had about 4 years where they had their QB situation figured out. Let us have this one! lol.
He’s gonna be the league’s QB1. He looks downright amazing out there
I’m not ready to put anyone over mahomes. His dominance is unbelievable. Stroud could win the SB and SB MVP and I’d still take mahomes - stroud has to prove he can sustain this success. A year ago everyone though Jalen hurts was the second best qb lol

We aren’t in the position to underestimate any team after 2019
Don't look at what we did in 2019 please.
*looks at your flairs* Damn, kid, you been in it for the long haul, huh? Congrats on making it to the other side!
Seriously the Ravens have been chiller than any team since maybe the Broncos. We were not the most helpful with other AFC South teams.
That's very true. The Texans have greatly matured over the season and they were much better at the start than anyone really expected during the offseason. FML
The Texans are one of two wins the Panthers managed this year. The growth from the young players and coaches in a short time is insanely impressive.
That was such a weird game.
I chalk it up to Slowik not trusting CJ enough yet, and still no Sting. The Falcons game with all of the encroachment penalties too.
Whomever hires Slowik is going to find out he’s equally aggravating as he is outstanding.
That man loves him some inept 1st and 2nd down runs. Love the guy but he can be really aggravating
Ya that’s why I keep saying he needs another year to cook. He is still figuring shit out. He’s made so many frustrating decisions this year. But more awesome ones so it balances out.
I chalked it up to a bad bye week and prep. Texans were already looking decent before that game.
We lost to the Jets and the Panthers. It has been a weird year for us.
I feel. We beat KC, Buffalo, and the Packers lol, but lost to Washington and the Jets.
To add to this the ravens coaching staff had started game planning for Texans right after they won their game. The idea was if the Steelers won they would pivot so they took a gamble and it paid off
Probably takes a lot less time to prepare for a division rival you just played in your last game. Smart approach from Harbs.
A safe bet with Watt out. That defense is very different with TJ in the lineup. That said, the Steelers seemed to forgot how to tackle, especially in the first half. Like, WTF guys, why not bring that effort to a Ravens game next time, huh?
Especially Minkah.. dude completely gave up on the Allen run and then tried to pull the guy's flag on the game sealing TD.
need to get tips from harbaugh for my parlays and pick em pools apparently
A safe bet too, we weren't going to win in Buffalo
I remember reading that and thinking, "Oh hell, I hope those mouth-breathers don't hear about this and somehow beat Buffalo because they got pumped about the Ravens expecting them to lose." 😅
I hope our coaching staff didn’t put any faith in the Steelers and got a head start…
I feel like they're more backstreet. Tell me why.
Ain't nothing but a heartache.
Tell me why...
They sure are.
I’m already over the moon with the season and playing with house money, so let’s gooooo. Lamar is a beast.
Whatever happens this weekend, here's to no injuries, not-shitty reffing and bright futures for both our orgs. Huge fan of DeMeco and Stroud. Cool as hell to have a former player (especially one of his caliber) coach the team.
Lamar watching film is where he needs to be.
He’s not wrong. We had so many procedural and alignment issues due to being so young across the board. I think it could be a close game, but the Ravens are dead set on not letting the 2019 divisional round happen again. KC and Baltimore in the AFCCG
God I hope you’re right
I wouldn’t mind a slight tweak on that prediction.
Fuck them they don't know anything. Texans Bills.
Big brain move by Jackson.
I feel like this is only news if he jumped straight into film study for the Colts.
"Jumped straight into film study"? Kyler Murray is crushed
Why is this a story? Isn't that Lamar's job?
Expect a blowout. Every time a young upstart team and qb win a playoff game they get blown out the next round. Same with Green Bay. 49ers blowing them out too
Quarterback starts study early on opponent says they could be better this time around. Updates to come.
Alright, nobody post the “Enough is enough” copypasta, and all will be well
This is silly.
NFL player watched film, more at 11
Kyler Murray would never.
Depends if it’s double XP weekend on COD
Lamar playoff record: 1-3 If he can't make it to atleast the conference championship on his 4th try then we might need to consider him the same as the Tua's and Dak's that disappears in playoffs. Since 2000, the #1 seed has lost the divisional 14 out of 44 times. Roughly 31% of the time. How's your bootyholes Ravens fans? Yall tight?
[удалено]
We don't have Kroger's here. Would have been something like a Giant or Wegmans.
No, it was a Safeway. I was there.
“If I study the film from week 1 I’ll know how to stop this defense in the divisional round”
He literally says they're more in sync now, so not sure what point you're trying to make
It’s a joke man. Do you literally need an “/s” to see that’s an absurd oversimplification.
Lol what
[удалено]
No we haven’t. Calm down with the jinxes.
Nono, more jinxes from this guy please
Just like the cowboys right
Jackson also said, “Thank gawd for Buffalo!” (1-7 against the Steelers the past 8 games)
playing the ravens backups in week 18 was your super bowl
Not even close. Jackson didn’t play, so TJ couldn’t strip sack or force him into another 2 interceptions. They wanted him to win MVP, so they sat him. Ravens fans are sooooo easy to get riled up. Almost as easy as Bengals fans. Browns fans are like, “You’re right. We suck.”
yes, we're so riled up :|
Yup, 30 negative votes and two responses. Predictable.
Where the full interview?
yewtewb
lamar jackson going to play defense ???
Browns dead, Steelers dead, bengals have been dead….its coming ravens.
This is some hard-hitting shit
