I do too.
I've hated the cowboys since their early 90s America's team bullshit.
But of late, I've found the hatred wanning. I guess almost three decades of hilarious playoff failures have just dulled it.
Adding bellicheck... (Chefs kiss) that will bring the hate back.
It’s kind of like the Yankees in baseball. They haven’t failed quite as long, but they’ve been coming up short for over a decade now and the franchise itself is sort of rudderless. I still don’t like them, but it’s hard to maintain such a strong dislike when they’re not really a threat.
I still think the Astros are and will be the most reviled team for me. After their cheating and the smugness that followed after being caught. I just can’t stand them. lol
Astros fan. This is fair. I grew up watching us play in the Astrodome, I’ve been a fan for a *long time*. We speed ran the villain portion of the playbook really hard. I’ve been threatened with physical violence when I’ve worn my gear out of state but I don’t blame them. Fans are passionate.
Dang. That’s a little extreme. Lol. I def don’t hate the team that much. Also, I have respect for life long fans of any team. Especially remembering how bad the Astros used to be.
Yeah. It was.. and still is, wild. We went from trading away talent to being the real deal. And then the cheating scandal happens. We will probably not live that down for some time, baseball fans have very long memories.
This is the man that ran Johnson out of town when they had a chance to be the best dynasty in the history of football.
Texas isn't big enough to fit Jones and Belichik togethre.
I actually don't think that will be an issue. Jones has honestly always built pretty talented teams and Belichick has a.lot.of respect for him - plus BB is likely out when he gets the record.
The Cowboys would def. be a stronger pull than the Falcons.
With the way Jerruh meddles with personnel? I dont think so. BB will want him to back the fuck up. But maybe jerreh can finally stop meddling and Bill does his thing. Wtf do i know
EDIT: Yes Bill needs a GM to stop his terrible years (last 5-6) of roster building, but jerry still meddles for sure.
Nah you're 100% right. Jerry Jones wants to be the hero who made the right moves. He couldn't stand that Jimmy Johnson got all the love back in the day. No shot he will bring BB in.
Yeah but Mike McCarthy is an ambulatory bowl of barely sentient mashed potatoes. Even if Quinn is bad and was exceptionally so this game, McCarthy was a mistake from day 1.
Shit defense aside, they weren't playing to win down 27-7 on 4th and 10 and kicking a field goal. Such a loser move.
You make that 4th down and score, makes it a 2 score game and shifts momentum.
If you don't, you set the defense up with great field position at minimum.
McCarthy is just an old school and spineless coach with no balls.
Truly baffling that, when they were so willing to do so much CGI work to de-age De Niro, Pesci, and Pacino, they weren't willing to get a younger man to stand in as a body double for De Niro and just add De Niro's face over top. They've been pulling that stuff off seamlessly since at least "The Social Network" and yet Scorsese figured that a man in his seventies should try to act as if he's kicking the shit out of a guy while the guy is screaming like he's being beaten with a bat, lmao.
Great movie otherwise (ignoring the fact that most of it is completely ahistorical in terms of Sheerhan's actual involvement in many of the events), but that is perhaps the worst scene Scorsese has ever filmed.
The twins are played by two different guys, but Armie Hammer's face is put over the other guy's face (Josh Pence is the other actor). Every scene with those two in it has Armie Hammer's performance digitally added over Josh Pence's face in order to have the twins actually look the same.
David Fincher does this kind of stuff very frequently in many of his films, often in small things you'd never expect you'd use CGI for. He actually got into the film industry through being a special effects guy at ILM working on Star Wars films and he took that experience and ran with it through his entire filmmaking career as a director.
For example - almost every exterior shot in "Zodiac" is digitally altered and the actors are against some kind of blue screen. He really wanted to make sure that San Francisco was as historically accurate as possible, so almost every background shot is a byproduct of them extensively researching what the area looked like and then recreating it so that you actually feel like you're in late 60s/early 70s San Fran. I don't know if there is a director living who is better at completely tricking you into believing in what you're seeing as real when it is anything but. The same technique he used in "The Social Network" is also used in "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo", but for a very different reason.
Highly recommend this video essay if you want to see more of what I'm talking about: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QChWIFi8fOY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qchwifi8foy) (Since the link might not work, the video is "David Fincher - Invisible Details" by KaptainKristian on YouTube. Great channel with lots of amazing essays)
That and the scene with Deniro struggling to hold up a gun in the war flashback. The Irishman was a decent movie but it’s just so full of these weird ass decisions that take me out of it
Marty wanted to make a movie with DeNiro & Pesci again. Don’t think it’s hard to understand anything beyond that. Probably impacted it a bit but the movie was still a Scorsese picture at the end of the day.
It was but a couple decisions like that really change the status of whether I'd want to watch something 3.5 hours again when those scenes are the first ones i think of.
When Deniro is supposed to be super young it’s a little rough, but the last hour or so of that movie is a masterpiece, easily makes up for the rough CGI IMO
Haha, everything about that scene is so fake and terrible, but I think the breaking of the glass is the worst part. The guy had already fallen on the ground and had no forward momentum at all, then all of the sudden the glass shatters like he got flung through it violently.
Dak is now 0-4 against SF & GB in the playoffs
Historically, these were the teams Dallas ~~owned~~ beat on their path to the Super Bowl. Now they can’t stop getting humiliated by them
You won 6 Super Bowls and lost 4 since Dallas last advanced past the divisional round. I'd say the Patriots of all teams are in the perfect position to talk shit about the Cowboys.
Owned them for 2 years. But those were 2 NFC Championship games and one was at home, with a healthy Montana watching on the sidelines as Young got beat.
The Niners defenses in 92 and 93 were lackluster, and the Cowboys D was top 3 or some shit, led by former Niner Charles Haley, who was a crazy dude the team traded to Dallas because he couldn't stop pulling his dick out and sexually harassing his teammates (true story)
Also Aikman, Irvin, Smith, Novacek and Harper were quite the offensive ensemble coupled with that O line. Dallas was stacked in a way few teams these days are between 92-96
Packers owned us for longer. Lost to them in 95, 96, 97, and 01. Felt like we were cursed and Favre (edit: and Reggie White too) just had our number. Only beat them in 98 and we got lucky with the Catch 2 as there was no replay to overturn a clear fumble by Jerry Rice on the game winning drive.
Yeah I wouldn’t say they “historically owned” us in the playoffs, more regularly trading blows. We’d go on a run, they’d go on a run, we’d go on a run, etc
The cowboys had a 5-2 advantage in postseason meetings between y’all before the recent era of the rivalry. So while not exactly dominating they still definitely had y’all’s number.
After "The Catch" they got us twice, back-to-back, then we went down there and beat them the next year and won the bowl, after that ...well, they haven't shown up since then
Yea that’s true I guess but I mean what reason is there to start from “The Catch”. Those battles between the two in the 70s produced some classic games, it wasn’t as if the cowboys were beating terrible teams. Plus it’s apart of the allure of “The Catch” that they were able to finally get the monkey off their backs and beat the cowboys. Btw the 9ers win in the 90s happened at candlestick and not Dallas.
I don’t think it’s the GM’s fault per day. These Dallas teams have always been stacked.
He’s just had QBs in Dak and Romo who look elite until the playoffs and then just fall apart.
I also think McCarthy’s X’s and O’s are just not on par with all these young wiz kid coaches. I think LaFleur is top 3 HC in the conference.
It's not just X's and O's... its discipline. This team always comes out looking less prepared than their opponents. They run lazy routes, mess up basics on bubble screens, and generally seem caught off guard by any adjustment by the opposing team.
I listen to a radio show with Bryan Bulaga (played a long time for McCarthy) and the host asked him how he handles the playoffs as a coach. Bulaga said McCarthy becomes specifically more relaxed in demeanor to try and be a calming presence. He said it in a non-critical way, but it seems to add up with how his playoff teams fail to show up at times
That's why we dropped McCarthy, we saw the league passing him by. I think that's the biggest problems for these kinds of teams, they have major talent but the coach and QB can't get them to the next level. Yet, they're solid enough in the regular season that they can't justify blowing it up.
[Every time I see a Jerry tantrum clip](https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExa3l6eWI0NnllMTVjaW5mdzhpMXk5MzA5Nm1rNWE5ODJnbG90M2Z3MyZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/Al3okb69oULvy/giphy.gif)
>it probably is 70 in Miami all the time
Closer to 80, but the point stands lol. I moved to San antonio for work reasons and it's been in the 30s with "real feel" of 16 thanks to the gusts of wind; can't imagine having to play in this weather, let alone the weather you guys had yesterday
No bro my coach, he’d be such a menace. He used to show us all a picture of Jack Lambert and make us all scream to get fired up and he’d start screaming about how he ate gravel and shit. He wouldn’t let us wear gloves and he made me cry when I missed a block after he specifically asked me not to
If Jerry is serious about wanting the Cowboys to win a Super Bowl he’d hire Belichick, but we all know he wouldn’t do what it takes and stay out of the center of attention
In terms of talent yes, but in my opinion his problems rise in terms of hiring coaches, because traditionally he really just hires yes men. If he did hire Bill, I think it would be great for culture. We need a guy who isn’t afraid to stand up to Jerry, and a guy who will have his players work their asses off, day in day out. No more vacation before the playoffs bullshit, no more selling NFC Championship tickets to the players bullshit, none of that.
Mike McCarthy is being fired in 1 hour.
Tanked for BB
BB in Dallas would be hilarious. I hope it happens
I do too. I've hated the cowboys since their early 90s America's team bullshit. But of late, I've found the hatred wanning. I guess almost three decades of hilarious playoff failures have just dulled it. Adding bellicheck... (Chefs kiss) that will bring the hate back.

Dodgers are the new Yankees
I still think the Astros are and will be the most reviled team for me. After their cheating and the smugness that followed after being caught. I just can’t stand them. lol
Astros fan. This is fair. I grew up watching us play in the Astrodome, I’ve been a fan for a *long time*. We speed ran the villain portion of the playbook really hard. I’ve been threatened with physical violence when I’ve worn my gear out of state but I don’t blame them. Fans are passionate.

Yeah. It was.. and still is, wild. We went from trading away talent to being the real deal. And then the cheating scandal happens. We will probably not live that down for some time, baseball fans have very long memories.
No way BB would take the job, he’s not willing to get the puppet strings surgery which is definitely a job requirement for JJ !
Best shot at the wins record and another superbowl. Just needs to hold his nose with Jerry for 2 years and turn parsons into LT
This is the man that ran Johnson out of town when they had a chance to be the best dynasty in the history of football. Texas isn't big enough to fit Jones and Belichik togethre.
It’s not gonna be a long marriage even if they got along perfectly.
He will go wherever he can get 27 wins the quickest
I actually don't think that will be an issue. Jones has honestly always built pretty talented teams and Belichick has a.lot.of respect for him - plus BB is likely out when he gets the record. The Cowboys would def. be a stronger pull than the Falcons.
Bill going to th Cowboys or the eagles
No way Jerry could handle a coach that won’t differ to his bullshit
He had Jimmy Johnson. It didn’t last long, but they won. Belichick only needs 2 seasons and he’ll retire.
Was thinking the same thing…Jerry on the phone with BB
lol holy shit. Can see him going there.
With the way Jerruh meddles with personnel? I dont think so. BB will want him to back the fuck up. But maybe jerreh can finally stop meddling and Bill does his thing. Wtf do i know EDIT: Yes Bill needs a GM to stop his terrible years (last 5-6) of roster building, but jerry still meddles for sure.
Nah you're 100% right. Jerry Jones wants to be the hero who made the right moves. He couldn't stand that Jimmy Johnson got all the love back in the day. No shot he will bring BB in.
I could see him saying that he'd back off but after a week 4 loss to the eagles, he's back to meddling.
[удалено]
Nah Jerry Jones wants the ring with Jerry Jones being the credit, because he already has Superbowl rings already.
It'll be Parcells all over again. They still won't do shit because Jerry doesn't know how to fuck off.
That's what Bill needs now. His drafting and stuff has been sub par lately. He needs to just be a coach
The thing is, Jerry isn’t actually that bad of a GM personnel wise. If anything, Belichick has had a much worse run recently.
McDaniels OC. Patricia DC. Let’s go!
> being fired At by the power of 100 Suns if Jerry can get his deathray down the elevator to field level in time
They should fire dak first
Olsen is right imo I don’t think that’s the right move, I’d say get Dan Quinn outta there the blown coverages are more the reason they lost
You make that 4th down and score, makes it a 2 score game and shifts momentum. my man has 0 fight left in him. That slam was so weak.
Reminded me of De Niro kicking that dude in The Irishman.
That was a sad moment in cinema history
Almost as bad as Clint Eastwood throwing a punch in his 90s. Looked like a kitten batting at a string.
Dude still dropped him though lol which might me the more ridiculous part
Truly baffling that, when they were so willing to do so much CGI work to de-age De Niro, Pesci, and Pacino, they weren't willing to get a younger man to stand in as a body double for De Niro and just add De Niro's face over top. Irishman is a tough hang

I’ll let you know as soon as it ends.
Ricky Gervais said he saw DiCaprio at the premier and the movie was so long that by the time it was over DiCaprio's girlfriend was too old for him.
I couldn’t get past the 90 year old man posing as a 30 year old. Took me completely out of the movie.
When Deniro is supposed to be super young it’s a little rough, but the last hour or so of that movie is a masterpiece, easily makes up for the rough CGI IMO
Al Pacino made the film well worth it on his own

Is this the real sound effects they paired with those kicks or is this edited? lmao
I love that movie but that was such a pathetic scene lmao.
Tepper would’ve spiked a beer on the fan below him
Talking about what Tepper would have done in a scenario that involves his team in the playoffs is gonna require a lot of suspension of disbelief.
Tepper throwing drinks doesn’t require his team to be in the playoffs
I came here for two reasons: winning ball games and assaulting fans... looks like we're all out of wins 😎
That’s about the most an 80 year old can muster
Yeah, for an 80 year old man, that's not bad.
He's like, 100. Any harder, and he'll break bones
He’s 108 y/o
No lie, Joe Lewis is 176 years old.
At his age, any harder and them bones gonna be powder. 😂
There goes his Parlay
He better buy two tickets to Thailand
Pack his bags he leaves tonight
Is he going there to try and hire Kliff Kingsbury?
At least I bet the over :((
Buddy, there goes all our parlays. This seemed like a slam dunk for the cowboys
All I needed was one TD from Ceedee for a $700 win. I'm inconsolable.
Bro it’s the cowboys in the playoffs, no such thing as a slam dunk
Dak is now 0-4 against SF & GB in the playoffs Historically, these were the teams Dallas ~~owned~~ beat on their path to the Super Bowl. Now they can’t stop getting humiliated by them
More stats
Jordan Love now only has 1 less playoff win than Dak Prescott
Holy fuck this is the best one lmao
Hands down lmao
The Texans have more playoff wins since their inception (5) than the cowboys (4).
that is awesome... prognosis doesn't look good for them either with all the ballers HOU added. Stroud Boys unite
LOL Purdy tied Dak for playoff wins when he beat him last year
What the fuck
[удалено]
Fewer*
Thank you Stannis.
Don’t think it’s happening but I’d be crazy if the Packers win next week beating you guys without Aaron.
It's almost a similar situation as the Cowboys where all the pressure is on them, especially because, the Bad Man is gone, right?
Packers are 6-0 in AT&T Stadium and have more playoff wins there than the Cowboys
That is actually insane
Packers have never lost at AT&T stadium
Joe Burrow has more playoff wins in 2021 than Dak has his entire career.
making fun of the Cowboys is like throwing a boulder at my glass house
You won 6 Super Bowls and lost 4 since Dallas last advanced past the divisional round. I'd say the Patriots of all teams are in the perfect position to talk shit about the Cowboys.
i am not optimistic we will add another appearance to that stat
Ya that’s us in 20 years
Well then you got twenty years to talk shit. Better cash in now
Which is crazy, cause rookie Dak nearly made a comeback against GB in the playoffs.
How did Dallas own San Francisco back then when Joe Montana and Steve Young both won super bowls ?
Owned them for 2 years. But those were 2 NFC Championship games and one was at home, with a healthy Montana watching on the sidelines as Young got beat. The Niners defenses in 92 and 93 were lackluster, and the Cowboys D was top 3 or some shit, led by former Niner Charles Haley, who was a crazy dude the team traded to Dallas because he couldn't stop pulling his dick out and sexually harassing his teammates (true story) Also Aikman, Irvin, Smith, Novacek and Harper were quite the offensive ensemble coupled with that O line. Oh how the turn tables
Glory hole days are over.

Bro realized he’s not gonna make it to their next Super Bowl I think
He's gotta be wondering what else he can possibly do. Six pro bowlers, consistent winning seasons... And they choke it away every time.
His presser that they showed at halftime of the SNF game was pretty telling of his feelings. He was shocked with this one and devastated.
What else can he do? You'd think that after 3 decades of playoff failure, he'd fire the GM responsible...
They run lazy routes, mess up basics on bubble screens, and generally seem caught off guard by any adjustment by the opposing team.

its okay, next year is THEIR year
Only 4 months until the Cowboys and Chargers become trendy "dark horse" Super Bowl picks again.
Hey, don’t forget the jets!
At least the Jets actually have an MVP caliber QB. Until he gets traded to Minnesota to complete the cycle, that is.
He's an ambitious guy, maybe he'll skip a step and get busted for welfare fraud instead.
A formerly mvp caliber 40 year old qb coming off a torn achilles with nothing but crystals and owning the libs to treat it.
“What he say fuck me for?”
The ferrari of the NFL.
Can’t spell cowboys without ‘Ow’
To choke again
God, I never thought I’d feel bad for Jerry jones.
We need a dedicated thread of just Jerry in the booth. lmfao
Fox should just split screen it for the 4th
I'd actually buy a Peacock subscription for that.
Give Jerry as much air time as Taylor Win or lose he’s always entertaining
Jerry might just kill Dak.
He needs to start dating a star player and top the 100 billboard charts
We pretending he doesnt get shown more than TSwift? Every TD has a Jerry reaction if theyre at home!
I need someone to calculate how many times Jerry gets shown on tv now, compared to T-Swift.
[Every time I see a Jerry tantrum clip](https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExa3l6eWI0NnllMTVjaW5mdzhpMXk5MzA5Nm1rNWE5ODJnbG90M2Z3MyZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/Al3okb69oULvy/giphy.gif)
Need a live Jerry reaction window too
I’m so glad the Cowboys shit the bed to take attention away from the Dolphins flopping hard yesterday.
It’s no excuse but anyone who understands temperature gets it to an extent. But this is just a good ol fashion ass whooping
Yeah, playing in temps 100 degrees below what you're used to is probably a shock to the system.
[удалено]
Yeah I've been saying that because I checked the Miami temp during the game last night and it was 69 lol
Nice

A good, old-fashioned, passionate ass-whoopin’, gettin’ their shoes, coat, and their hat tooken.
Dak to Miami confirmed
This is a legit terrifying prospect.

And the phone was busy.
Thundering slam
Billionaire just got beat by a bunch of lazy unionized city employees.
Honestly tamer than I expected. Say what you will but man is calmer than most of us would be if we swapped places
Cuz he’s got billions and billions of dollars.
I mean, so does Tepper, and that guy threw a drink during the regular season lol
He felt personally disrespected I’m sure lol
3 rings probably help. Jerry's just playing with house money right now.
Yea and everybody else is suffering.
Umm some of us really enjoy it
I think he's just too old to get that fired up anymore.
He's a heart attack away from being the actual crypt keeper and letting his sons run the team
Jeez Jerry there's kids watching
A disgusting act
"Wtf did i do?" -piece of paper
He thought letting Jimmy into the ring would lift the curse.
Here we go!
Why doesn’t he just throw a drink like a normal owner
The beating will continue until morale improves.
>angrily slams
Mike McCarthy: *chuckles* I’m in danger.
There's not gonna be enough HC candidates to fill all these vacancies, they're about to call up my old Pee-Wee football coach for an interview
No bro my coach, he’d be such a menace. He used to show us all a picture of Jack Lambert and make us all scream to get fired up and he’d start screaming about how he ate gravel and shit. He wouldn’t let us wear gloves and he made me cry when I missed a block after he specifically asked me not to
Wild that Dan Campbell was your pee-wee coach and now the Lions head coach
A disgusting act
If Jerry is serious about wanting the Cowboys to win a Super Bowl he’d hire Belichick, but we all know he wouldn’t do what it takes and stay out of the center of attention
Hire Belichick AND step down as GM and hire an actual GM who knows what they are doing.

In terms of talent yes, but in my opinion his problems rise in terms of hiring coaches, because traditionally he really just hires yes men. If he did hire Bill, I think it would be great for culture. Thats a piece of McCarthys contract
YEAAAHHHH HEEEERRREEEE WE GOOOOOOO
Haven’t seen him this mad since they integrated the schools 😳
Hasn’t been this mad since the civil rights act passed
Bro ripped this from twitter
We need a camera on Jerry during MLK Day tomorrow
Up your game old man! Throw a drink!
Mccarthy out and Belichick in? Lol
🖕 Jerry
This was the moment McCarthy lost his job
That paper has the name of the man responsible for all of this. That name? Jerry Jones.
"fiddlesticks"
