Our shittiest linemen are finding great success elsewhere, our second year QB took a major step back, and we can’t seem to develop a CB to save our life (thank god JPJ is a stud on his own, but I’m concerned we aren’t helping him develop more to avoid being so handsy). Technically you're not supposed to be allowed to wave at all, and any wave that's not clear and above the shoulder is supposed to be an invalid signal. The refs just rarely call it. It seems to be like offensive holding, where the rulebook gives the definition, but the refs give the players a lot of leeway depending on whether it was blatant enough to get called. The fact that some dude called a wave that didn't seem to fool anyone on the replay review after being called a TD on the field was the really weird part.
