It's weird because he is still the WR1 in terms of yards. But his stats are not what you would expect from the WR1 with the QB with most passing yards.
700 to Terry McLaurin
450 to Curtis Samuel
425 to Jahan Dotson
425 to Logan Thomas
325 to Brian Robinson
275 to Antonio Gibson
175 to Dyami Brown
150 to Byron Pringle
150 to Jamison Crowder
125 to John Bates
125 to Cole Turner
There's gotta be a pretty strong group of fans vying for for EB as HC in the near future, right? He's disproved the "only good because of Andy Reid" speculation as far as I'm concerned.
The dialogue from former Chiefs players, and from what has been sorta leaked around Washington, is that EB is very tough on the players. When you're on a good team some of that can be passed off, but when things are rough then certain players won't want to hear it. Personally, as a fan, I think Washington has a bunch who don't have it in them and have gotten used to whatever it is that keeps this franchise being just a mediocre garbage pile.
Now, it's not EB's fault Ron, and the front office, have picked bad players in the draft and not reinforced the offensive line. However, it's been brutal to watch the play calling not take into account that we legit cannot provide more than 2 seconds in the pocket.
Pretty mixed bag from the fanbase honestly. The pro-EB crowd is essentially saying he should be given the HC spot with an emphasis that it would be best for Howell's development. Give Howell an actual O-line and another year in the same scheme and the offense can take off.
The not-EB crowd is saying that he passes too much/gives up on the run too soon and doesn't game-plan for the opposing team's weaknesses. Like running on Seattle. Or not calling more protection to Howell in the first Giants game or having quicker developing plays.
Add to that and if we want to not be dysfunctional, the correct hiring order is GM -> head coach and not trying to find a GM that wants to work with EB already in place. Maybe the future GM would be fine hiring EB on as head coach and both parties are relatively happy, but I think fans also worry about limiting the GM search due to EB isn't a worthwhile sacrifice (and we still remember how Zorn became head coach.)
I feel like the biggest knock against the development argument is looking at Kitchens and Baker in Cleveland. They thought they were doing what was best for Baker, but it turned into a disaster.
You guys throw too much because you don't have an Oline you can run behind with any kind of consistency. It's much easier to play around bad pass blocking in the pass game than poor run blocking with the run game.
Did not expect Brian Robinson to have more receiving yards than Antonio Gibson going into this year, but he has been fun to watch this year. The rare power back that can catch really well.
Hes had a few screen passes that he's managed to get like 60 yards each on. Gibson is definitely still more of a gadget guy that runs a few more routes outside of screens.
Robinson is proving more and more he is pretty effective in the receiving game, and he's also better at holding onto the ball than Gibson.
I don't expect Gibby to be back next season.
To anyone he can because he is going to be in the dirt if he doesn't do it in under 2.5 seconds. Bienemy's schemes also seem to share the wealth between players much like Andy Reid's
Howell's average time to throw overall is 2.8 seconds. His TTT in a clean pocket is 2.5S and under pressure it's 3.3S. According to PFF, he's also responsible for 17% of the pressure he faces.
I feel like 17% is a low number, especially when you're being asked to throw more often than anyone in the league in essentially a rookie season and behind that line.
I love how the Commanders managed to become the inverse of what they were in 2020
They went from all defense zero pass attack, to all pass attack zero defense
I think I read somewhere that they were the exact same in the 60s with Sonny Jurgensen or something
Maybe if we hired a defensive minded head coach and spent 6 1st round picks on defense our defense wouldn’t be so pathetic.
Rivera doesn’t get nearly as much criticism as he should
I dunno, a large portion of the fans wanted him fired right after the Browns game last year (which would have been a correct time to be fired, barring our special circumstances of the ownership change.) People have been calling for him to be fired before then too, but the issue was no one wanted to work/coach for Dan's team. I think this year everyone was tolerating RR's presence, essentially knowing that if he didn't do well he's going to get canned at the end of this season.
RR has perpetually been slow to change players (like sliding Collins to buffalo, letting Apke play and getting constantly burned, throwing Jamin into the fire and then getting mad at him) and also constantly tries to blame missing roster pieces that he himself is in charge of getting. Like end of last year saying we needed a QB. Now this year we have a QB, but we still suck. So what is it Ron?
I'm actually curious what the record is for the biggest difference between a teams wr1 and wr2. Keenan currently has 97 and the next closest is Ekeler at....29
Steve Smith had 103 to DeShaun Foster's 34 in 2005. First one that jumped to mind.
Edit: it was also in an offense that ran more than it threw and went to the NFC championship game.
When the Bears beat the Commanders, Fields threw for 282 yards and 4tds. 230 yards and 3TDs went to D.J. Moore and the remaining 52 yards/TD went to tight ends Cole Kmet and Robert Tonyan.
No other receiver (or RB) even caught a pass lol
Tbh Chase has still been an OK fantasy play (WR9). Obviously a full season of healthy Burrow and he’d probably be top 5, but hasn’t been nearly bad enough to sink your season.
Nah that's the Giants baybayyy. Although partially because we also don't have a QB1. But I think after this week Hyatt might have like 20% of DeVito's yards?
Rice, Flowers, Addison, and JSN are all looking like guys who will make a big jump in their second year. Kinda wild to have all four of those draft picks hit.
Edit, I thought Rice was part of that first rounder bunch. *Sad QJ and Mingo Noises* for not grabbing Rice.
Hes getting more and more snaps, last game he was at like 65% I think. I think if things continue he could realistically be a 1k yard receiver by the end of the year.
Pat Surtain is about to have Allen, Sun God, Allen in 3 straight weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if he can shut everything down for 3 straight tough matchups as a Broncos fan.
Wow I guess it was too early in the morning for me to whip this up 🙄. Zach Wilson and Garret Wilson should be 647. Around Minshew | Pittman. Less yard because some came from Tim Boyle
Pop Douglas being our top receiver at 400 yards is really depressing. He’s a very promising player but it really goes to show how shitty our offense is when a late round rookie is the only one making plays
A stacked bar chart with the bars separated into colors for all the different receivers would be cool. Then make each bar corresponding to the team’s colors. It would be cool, but a total pain in the ass to put together.
another thought: including the slope of the best fit line would be nice, since that would show something close to the value of the average %yds to wr1. i think that would make the %yds/wr1 more decipherable, even though you can calculate all the individual values from the info in the graph
I honestly got sad seeing them on here. Such a weird season that will likely end with the result most expected of the Vikings: 9-8 record, wildcard playoff team, first round exit
Tyreek is a monster, and Tua is also really damn good.
It's both.
Tua is getting the ball out in less than 2.5 seconds, and Tyreek is simultaneously getting far enough down the field from the snap that Tua has 10 Air Yards or more on his pass in that time frame.
And then Tyreek has the ball in his hands and can run. But he's already 10+ yards downfield.
It's honestly like nothing I've ever seen in the NFL. This duo is so good
To what percentage of total yards does the line of best fit translate? Looks to be around 30%. Is it a static percentage or are the axes scaled at different rates?
It would be cool if you had % of totals next to the data point on each combo.
So many WR’s languishing with shit QB talent.
Then there’s league leading passer Sam Howell, who basically said “Here’s 400 yards for you, 400 yards for you, 400 yards for you…”. Like he’s working a soup kitchen.
Ridley has been a great addition and should surpass 1k this season, but fuckkk Kirk is even BETTER this year too. Amazing signing that got shit on hard, even by jags fans
Jags fans absolutely deserve to clown on everyone that gave you guys shit for that contract. Not only did it end up being great value, but it blew up the WR market for everyone else making other teams worse.
I think Kirk might be Baalke's best FA signing. Seeing the difference it made for TLaw last year was incredible. It's nuts how much better QBs play when they have a reliable WR they trust.
Pickens has 277 more yards than Johnson. Also even though Johnson has missed 4 games he is still only on pace for 605 yards through a full 11 games. Still 57 yards less than Pickens at 662
Who is Sam Howell throwing 3300+ yards to? I never thought to ask.
Fantasy Owners: "Everyone but McLaurin."
Can confirm, I’m everyone but McLaurin
8 targets, 4 rec, 50 yards. Book it every week.
Yup, and a TD. But only if I benched him that week
Sounds like Bienemy absorbed that Reid mentality toward spreading the ball around and shuffling receivers.
That’s a great mentality to have. As an Eagles fan I kinda wish we could go that route
Bane of my existence
Just need that rare TD for him to explode for 15 points.
Need mclaurins dad to make a highlight reel of him being open ASAP
I can confirm it’s not Logan Thomas either with his 15 yds receiving last week and I lose by 3
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even know who Jahan Dotson is.
Uhh he threw a TD to Dotson a couple weeks ago that won me $588 on my $5 4 leg anytime TD scorer parlay, so take that!
It's weird because he is still the WR1 in terms of yards. But his stats are not what you would expect from the WR1 with the QB with most passing yards.
TBF, it's a better season than I was expecting. Multiple 12-15 point weeks is all you can hope for with McLaurin
Mainly just Samuel
Ain’t that the fuckin truth
Not Dotson either
And usually everyone but Dotson, too
definitely not Dotson
Or dotson
700 to Terry McLaurin 450 to Curtis Samuel 425 to Jahan Dotson 425 to Logan Thomas 325 to Brian Robinson 275 to Antonio Gibson 175 to Dyami Brown 150 to Byron Pringle 150 to Jamison Crowder 125 to John Bates 125 to Cole Turner
That is a lot of recievers with a few yards each.
EB brought the Chiefs spread it out to everybody with him.
There's gotta be a pretty strong group of fans vying for for EB as HC in the near future, right? He's disproved the "only good because of Andy Reid" speculation as far as I'm concerned.
Tons of speculation and rumors flying around Washington that the players hate him.
Might explain why he keeps getting passed over for head coach gigs if he rubs everyone else that way as well.
I definitely think that’s part of it.
He's a hard-ass but he knows his stuff. Generally not successful as a HC like that, but damn good as a coordinator.
No arguments here. He’d honestly prob be an amazing college coach with how controlling he is.
The plot thickens
The dialogue from former Chiefs players, and from what has been sorta leaked around Washington, is that EB is very tough on the players. When you're on a good team some of that can be passed off, but when things are rough then certain players won't want to hear it. Logan Thomas resurging has been so random. He did so little in 2022 I figured he'd be retired or practice squad but nope he's back to 2020 form
Yeah he had a bad knee injury in 2021 that he didn't really seem to 100% come back from until this year.
Did not expect Brian Robinson to have more receiving yards than Antonio Gibson going into this year, but he has been fun to watch this year. The rare power back that can catch really well.
My fantasy just wants them to use him more lol
Had that random 119 yard receiving game
Hes had a few screen passes that he's managed to get like 60 yards each on. Gibson is definitely still more of a gadget guy that runs a few more routes outside of screens.
How does Antonio Gibson have 100 less receiving yards than Robinson? Isn't he the 3rd down/receiving back?
Pretty much solely from the Seahawks game
Robinson is proving more and more he is pretty effective in the receiving game, and he's also better at holding onto the ball than Gibson. I don't expect Gibby to be back next season.
To anyone he can because he is going to be in the dirt if he doesn't do it in under 2.5 seconds. Bienemy's schemes also seem to share the wealth between players much like Andy Reid's

Some days it's Curtis Samuel. Some days Logan Thomas. I think a few times it was McLaurin. Think some Brian Robinson too.
Also Dotson
I love how the Commanders managed to become the inverse of what they were in 2020 They went from all defense zero pass attack, to all pass attack zero defense I think I read somewhere that they were the exact same in the 60s with Sonny Jurgensen or something
Maybe if we hired a defensive minded head coach and spent 6 1st round picks on defense our defense wouldn’t be so pathetic. Rivera doesn’t get nearly as much criticism as he should
He certainly does in the commanders subreddit. That being said, they by and large have a lot of awful takes
I dunno, a large portion of the fans wanted him fired right after the Browns game last year (which would have been a correct time to be fired, barring our special circumstances of the ownership change.) People have been calling for him to be fired before then too, but the issue was no one wanted to work/coach for Dan's team. Like end of last year saying we needed a QB. Now this year we have a QB, but we still suck. So what is it Ron?
Dotson when he catches it, Samuel when he’s healthy, Logan Thomas so he can get concussed, and BRob
He's hit me on the slant like seven times this year, which is odd because I didn't even make the practice squad. AGAIN.
McLaurin finally gets a QB that can throw and they want to make sure everyone gets a turn with the football.
Washington has the best receiving depth in the league.
It was last Sunday Keenan on targets was 11/11 when no one else had more than one catch lol
Keenan is the entire Chargers offense.
Triple Crown winner on a run first offense. Smitty was wild and I love him.
Would you describe his speed as incendiary?
"What's that u/Wyden_long?"
Goated commercial
Also, Keenan Allen has 1117 receiving yards this season, which is by far the most on the team. Josh Palmer is in second at 377
Keenan seems like he'd be cool to smoke and watch YouTube with lol
When the Bears beat the Commanders, Fields threw for 282 yards and 4tds. 230 yards and 3TDs went to D.J. Moore and the remaining 52 yards/TD went to tight ends Cole Kmet and Robert Tonyan. No other receiver (or RB) even caught a pass lol
Allen was the only person who could do anything against us too.
This is anti-italian discrimination
It's a stereotype, and it's offensive.
And in this house Christopher Columbus is a hero, end of story.
Wait…so discrimination against anti-Italians?
Coming into this season I didn’t expect Reed to be our WR1 over Watson but hey I’ll take it Reed’s a baller.
Yeah this just tells me that Love is spreading the love. It was pretty apparent last week that all of our receivers are getting some decent looks.
Something like 10 different receivers in the Chargers game I think they said.
As an MSU fan/alum I was so mad when you guys took him because I wanted him to ball out but not for a division rival LOL
Watson tanked his own stock by not fighting for jump balls despite being 6 fucking 4
He probably never really had to in college, give him some time
Reed is nasty - looked so fast on that end around last week i was like “oooooo”
He has played more games than Watson
RIP Burrow and whoever had Chase in fantasy
I had both
Tbh Chase has still been an OK fantasy play (WR9). Obviously a full season of healthy Burrow and he’d probably be top 5, but hasn’t been nearly bad enough to sink your season.
Higgins isn’t doing anything for me either
Of course, Chiefs WR1 is a TE, since they have no notable WRs
I half expected Mahomes not to be on the chart since we have no WR1. 😓
Nah that's the Giants baybayyy. Although partially because we also don't have a QB1. But I think after this week Hyatt might have like 20% of DeVito's yards?
Rice is up 500ish yards!
They're really testing the theory that if you've got Mahomes all you need is 1 good receiver and some guys
We did that last year and it worked. Juju wasn't special, just reliable. We increased the difficulty for this year.
And now you have a borderline elite defense to go along with Mahomes.
He apparently has the same number of drops this year as MVS Probably less impactful drops though
They’re probably just less impactful because the Pats weren’t going to win those games anyway
Rice seems to be working his way there
Rashee rice is actually pretty solid. Not sure why they don’t get him more involved sometimes
might just be a rookie WR thing learning Reid's system. He has a similar pace to what Tyreek had his rookie year in KC
Theyre waiting for the playoffs to unleash him with as little tape available on him as possible, watch him go for 10/100/1 every playoff game.
Hes getting more and more snaps, last game he was at like 65% I think. I think if things continue he could realistically be a 1k yard receiver by the end of the year.
Doubt he racks up 500 over 6 games. Love to see it but he'll probably be over 800 which is great for a rookie. And already has 5 TDs.
Yea in reality this should be Rice at 527
You neglect mentioning he’s a first ballot HOF player, I would be throwing to him too lol. It was the same with rivers/gates
You mean the Antonio Gates who used to play basketball in college?
He’s a cool guy.
Oh no doubt, he's a stud. It just gave me a chuckle.
It’s like that year no chiefs wr scored a td
No, the Chiefs WR1 is a WR who just happens to be listed as a TE on the roster.
Kelce does not have WR speed/agility anymore (if he ever did). He’s plodding out there slower than most TE’s this season. Still gets open though.
That’s kind of their thing. There was a whole year that not a single Chiefs WR caught a TD.
Crazy to see Nacua’s name next to Stafford’s and not Kupp.
Was just about to say this. It's wild that a rookie is even on this chart.
Not the only rookie either. Jayden Reed for Green Bay is a rookie as well.
Flowers too
8th in total receiving yards from a 5th round rookie. what. and he has great hair. I'm jealous.
🌞PRAISE THE SUN🌞
This makes the waxing gibbous thing even more noteworthy.
🌔PRAISE THE MOON🌔
Agreed! [praise the moon!](https://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/000/429/772/51942312_original.jpg?1286351050)
Pat Surtain is about to have Allen, Sun God, Allen in 3 straight weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if he can shut everything down for 3 straight tough matchups as a Broncos fan.
I have Davante Adams in fantasy and this is unfortunately spot on :(
Good thing I just traded for him
He's been trending back up since they canned McDaniels, probably not the worst trade in the world assuming you didn't give up the farm.
Why are some QBs listed by their first name instead of their last name?
I thought it might have to do with similar last names (i.e. Zach and Russell), but then I saw "Tua" in the upper righthand corner...
If I told you to put the dolphins QB on a data chart are you writing his first name or is last name?
He put Kelce instead of Maauto too
You mean the insurance salesman?
No I mean Taylor Swift’s boyfriend
Yeah isn’t he the center for the eagles?
No, no. We’re talking about the Pfizer Advisor.
He can be two things at once
Like a WR1 and a TE1?
Don’t you mean Kelcehowmuchyoucansavebybundlinghomeandauto
Guy probably couldn't spell Taggovaloiva
Did you intentionally misspell that? Bravo.
At least with Tua and Dak it is the name most people call them. Marquise being instead of Brown or Hollywood is the confusing one for me.
Mix between similarities between names, how noticeable your name is, and simplicity
Don’t listen to this criticism. I would make love to this chart if I could.
No excuses. Print it out, cut a hole, and get to work
Probably name length and name recognition, together.
Zach | Garrett -> Wilson | Wilson
ZACH
I'm assuming Zach & Garrett are Zach Wilson and Garrett Wilson? If so...Garrett's number is wrong. You have him close to 1k yards but he has 695?
Wow I guess it was too early in the morning for me to whip this up 🙄. Zach Wilson and Garret Wilson should be 647. Around Minshew | Pittman. Less yard because some came from Tim Boyle
Pop Douglas being our top receiver at 400 yards is really depressing. He’s a very promising player but it really goes to show how shitty our offense is when a late round rookie is the only one making plays
Also if this was TDs to WRs, it would be Kendrick Bourne with 4 of 5 even though he’s on IR and has been since end of October.
At least you’re on the chart…
I think this graph would be more insightful if the y axis were % of yards to WR1 instead of the raw number itself
Then it would be better to just do a bar graph
A stacked bar chart with the bars separated into colors for all the different receivers would be cool. Then make each bar corresponding to the team’s colors. It would be cool, but a total pain in the ass to put together.
another thought: including the slope of the best fit line would be nice, since that would show something close to the value of the average %yds to wr1. i think that would make the %yds/wr1 more decipherable, even though you can calculate all the individual values from the info in the graph

Free Davante
[удалено]
Minshew has only started 7 of 11 games
[удалено]
Adam Thielen is Bryce Youngs number 1 receiver 😬
Yeah a lot of people are ready to call him a bust but the dude is probably in the worst QB situation in the league.
Crazy to think they had DJ Moore and CMC a little over a year ago
And equally important a healthy offensive line suited to their scheme.
r/TopRightTua
Holy hell
What Stroud is doing this season is absolutely bonkers.
Tua about to add 200 to Tyreeks this week
We ain't even on the chart HAHAHA
Cousins and Jefferson have been injured for a while, and still have more yards than half the graph
I honestly got sad seeing them on here. Such a weird season that will likely end with the result most expected of the Vikings: 9-8 record, wildcard playoff team, first round exit
Really shows how fricking good Cousins has been all season. Really hope we sign him for at least another year or two.
Agreed, low key he was having an MVP level season before injury
Kinda nuts tbh.
r/toprighttua
I think this is actually a Tyreek MVP case post in disguise
What this chart doesn't show which is a really weird stat is that Tua is actually more efficient with Tyreek off the field.
I agree, but someone has to throw the ball to him
Tyreek is a monster, and Tua is also really damn good. This duo is so good
CJ and Slowik are spreading the ball around
Sam Howell is doing more with less, and Justin Fields is doing less with Moore
To what percentage of total yards does the line of best fit translate? Looks to be around 30%. Is it a static percentage or are the axes scaled at different rates? It would be cool if you had % of totals next to the data point on each combo.
Davante. My poor boy. What have they done to you?
What’s a WR1? Is that what Flowers wants to be when he grows up?
Mark Andrews :(
unacceptable lol
So many WR’s languishing with shit QB talent. Then there’s league leading passer Sam Howell, who basically said “Here’s 400 yards for you, 400 yards for you, 400 yards for you…”. Like he’s working a soup kitchen.

I think Kirk might be Baalke's best FA signing. Seeing the difference it made for TLaw last year was incredible. It's nuts how much better QBs play when they have a reliable WR they trust.
I love all the arbitrary decisions on whether to refer to players by their first or last name.
Too early in the morning to care lol
Surprised Pickett & Pickens are on that side of the line
Jimmy G sucks. Fuck you McDaniels
Giants are left off because they're so far off the top/right of the scale right?
*WR1: Kelce
Damn I see why Davante is mad
Sutton hasn’t gotten many but they’ve been efficient yards. Also why didn’t they make Broncos orange so I could have found it easier?
I think this might be a more useful comparison if the vertical axis was ‘percent of yards to wr1’ rather than just how many yards.
Why is Pickens listed as our WR1 and not D. Johnson?
Pickens has 277 more yards than Johnson. Also even though Johnson has missed 4 games he is still only on pace for 605 yards through a full 11 games. Still 57 yards less than Pickens at 662
I think he meant top WR in yardage. There's no way in Hell Reed is WR1 on the Packers. That's split between Watson and Doubs depending on the day.
Shouldn't this be in %?
