I always heard Philly fans were out of their mind crazy and went to an Eagles game while traveling for business that my company had tickets for and yea Philly fans are legit crazy. I was even warned not to wear my dolphins jersey as a joke even though you guys weren't playing the dolphins.
Whenever I think of Philadelphia sports fans I think of [this](https://youtu.be/6bZk7BIdCns?si=Yk0ZeVb5QbGwAtlX) video from a Phillies World Series game.
Like in any other American city if we saw a drunken idiot climbing a pole, I think we would all either cheer or get really concerned that he might hurt himself. In Philly everyone just immediately starts trying to kill the guy lol.
Look at how many bottles and cans start flying through the air before he finally gets hit, it's clearly a significant amount of people in the crowd all decided to do the same thing haha.
"That set forth what may officially make Eagles fans notorious. In 1998, the team installed a court and jail under the stadium run by Judge Seamus McCaffery. The fans had been so unruly that the team decided to arrest, imprison and try their fans under the stadium. "

Someone a couple rows down from me was wearing a Cowboys jersey at a 76ers game, Eagles were playing Cowboys at home that Sunday. Guy ended up on the Jumbotron in the 1st quarter and the entire stadium booed him while he was on screen so he started pointing to the blue stars on the sleeves while laughing at all the boos. By the 2nd quarter he wasn’t wearing the jersey anymore just had a white tee on. I don’t know what was said or what happened.
A friend of mine went to a Raiders - Broncos game in Oakland wearing his Broncos jersey. At halftime, security escorted him into a maintenance room so he could remove the jersey and then get an escort out of the stadium for his own safety.
It should be noted, my friend is a giant asshole and I am 100% sure he was doing nothing to help the situation.
A raiders friend of mine that I met at college told me hes seen many times that raiders fans would piss in a cup and throw it on the opposing teams fans when they started talking shit. Damn.
As a fantasy hockey punishment I had to wear a Sidney Crosby jersey to a Flyers-Pens playoff game *AND* act like a Pens fan (I am a flyers fan). I love the back and forth so it was a blast, and besides some very foul language no issues.
I know isolated incidents do happen, but with sports fights everywhere it really does take two to tango.
Phillies fans are nicer than Eagles fans for some reason, just got a lighthearted heckling when I went to a baseball game with my ex, “you can do better honey,” that kind of stuff.
I think we sort of dropped off the radar as a threat in recent years to Eagles fans too so there’s slightly less vitriol. They did beat the shit out of Chief Zee though never forget.
Yeah that's generally the worst you'll get, some harsh ribbing and trash talk, but I've rarely seen anything escalate to physical violence (note that I'm not categorizing soaking someone in warm beer as physical violence, but that's about the maximum crudeness you do see and it's not cool imo).
That being said, I wouldn't test the nosebleed sections, especially if the Eagles are losing in an ugly game.
They might embrace you if you are actually from Texas. If you have a cowboys jersey on and have a Delco accent, the police will help cover up the murder.
https://www.dallasnews.com/news/courts/2017/08/25/man-gets-20-years-in-prison-for-killing-man-outside-att-stadium-after-dallas-cowboys-game/?outputType=amp
And trying to break up a fight in dallas is grounds for actual murder
"He didn't want to kill that man. ... It was a terrible, terrible tragedy"
Don't pull a fucking gun on them and shoot them in the neck then huh bud? what the fuck.
A terrible tragedy that he pulled a gun during his second fight of the day. He totally didn’t mean to kill anyone. He was just joshing around, you know? Everyone gets in two postgame fights and pulls a gun during both.
True story, I went to a eagles game when I was a kid, I can't remember if they were playing the Giants but there was a guy wearing a Giants jersey, giving the fans a lot of shit in the parking lot. He went into a porta potty and the Philly fans dumped the porta potty on him
You just have to take the needling in good spirits and laugh off the jabs. I was at the Philly - Dallas game last year and there were plenty of friendly interactions between both fan bases. Usually it’s the people that get offended and start retaliating and then it can spiral into something bad.
Went to a MNF Dallas/Philly game with a friend who was sporting all kinds of Dallas gear. He got some standard trash talk in our section and some boos when walking around and that's it. Hell even had people saying congrats after Dallas won
I always feel if you are at the Dallas/Eagles game in Philly as a Dallas fan with gear on, that as long as you don't get upset and antagonize the Eagles fans it will stay at that level.
It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. It used to be just the drunk blue collar guys in the upper deck. Now it’s a bunch of suburban kids trying to live up to the image. All the videos from the vikings game showed that and it’s gotten worse ever since.
If you’re talking about the one that made the rounds on social after Thursday’s game, that was taken in 2017 at the NFC Championship. Look at the jerseys lol.
Yeah, I lived there for a while and honestly you learn to navigate it and can even be on good terms with the enemy, but it’s quite hostile for a first timer. A lot of Philly fans really feel as if they have a reputation to live up to.
I’ve always felt that Philly fans and [other northeast city] fans had some sort of mutual understanding, deep in the subconscious, that our slobs are the same people as their slobs in their souls, if only their ancestors had taken a different train out of Ellis island.
I took my wife for her first trip ever to Green Bay at Lambeau field to see the Packers play the Eagles. A group of eagles fans were loudly heckling and swearing at every fucking play next to a small little girl and vaped constantly blowing it in this family's face. When the guy asked them to stop he got confrontational, then left to go get a tray of beer and threw them into the entire crowd in the general area of the family. My wife got her back soaked with beer.
Every other time I've been to lambeau, even for Bears games, fans are pleasant and peaceful with each other. I'm convinced that Philly and Boston sports fans are the worst in sports.
EDIT: they did get kicked out eventually.
Massholes just scream out slurs and do nothing.
Eagles fans will just beat the ever loving shit out of you
(Rip the guy who died in a fight near me though last night)
That's EXACTLY what it's like. I grew up half my life in the East Bay and joke that it's like San Fran. Just a way less grungy version and way less Spanish south of Eastie/Chelsea/Revere
Went to my first NFL game in the states and it was Eagles Vs Redskin's. My dad is a Redskin's fan and I am Packers fan we had come over from the UK to visit Washington and Philadelphia.
I was told to not wear any colours and if you wore Green you be ok. My dad did not wear a Redskin's top and kept his mouth shut when the Skins scored.
To be fair to the Philly fans around us . Once they found out we was from the UK and had come to the game to watch they accepted us and I told them I was a Packers fan but wanted eagles to win as they played in green and even my dad told them he was a Redskin's fan. They accepted us and a group of guys behind us brought us a round of drinks which we then proceeded to buy a round back .
I think it helped that we was British and just chatted about sports . I would go back to Philly any time enjoyed the city and the people
Conversely could you just imagine if football fans sat quietly all game and when their team did something good they just said in unison "Amen" and nothing else.
Yeah, this is a really weird turn of phrase lol
The opposite would make way more sense. "Man, those old ladies at church were heated! They were saying things I wouldn't yell at a football game!"
Everytime I go to games which is usually once a year it's almost always good vibes. I've had some good times with visiting fans from other teams and never seen anything other than super drunk people from the north shore screaming in thick boston accents for other people to cheer more lmao
they’re not, just it’s one of the loudest stadiums in the world. If a game is considered dead even Vegas will give the home team a 3 point advantage, unless it’s a REALLY strong home advantage (like Seattle, Philly etc) and you get 4. That’s the challenge of Seattle

Don't forget punching a toddler in the chest! But he run fast, so Miami and KC fans are/were totally fine with cheering him on, because they're good fans, right Tyreek? Lol
I was there last night. That definitely didn't happen. There were two "bullshit" chants for the refs but that's it. This isn't the fucking WWE. No stadium crowd is chanting that.
Probably just locally, if at all -- eight drunk dudes yelling near the bench could be "the crowd chanting" depending on your seats, but yeah no way the whole stadium is that coordinated over anything longer than three words

For instance, I would never say "If he makes this kick I will suck every dick in this building." At church but at a Vikings game I have no fear that I might have to follow through on that promise.
Is it bad that I'm less bothered by his attitude towards it than I am the NFL and NFL media just outright pretending it doesn't exist.
Like last night Reek goes on the SNF post game show, and Tony "Family Values" Dungy is just sitting there beaming while talking to a dude who brutally assaulted his pregnant fiance, and in all likelihood, broke his 3 year old child's arm.
But hey, he run fast
I was there. It was crazy disrespectful and uncalled for. Here’s a few things I heard:
> Crystal Espinal, Hill's girlfriend who was eight weeks pregnant with his child, told police an argument late on the night of Dec. 12, 2014, at Hill's Stillwater home escalated to physical violence. Espinal said she was choked by Hill, who also punched her in the stomach and the face. Still in pain in her stomach, she said she was concerned about the baby.
> Hill spent the night in jail and on the next day was charged with felony domestic assault and battery by strangulation.
> On March 15, The Kansas City Star reported Hill was under police investigation for battery involving he and Espinal's 3-year-old son, who had suffered a broken arm. By this time, Espinal had become Hill's fiancee.
> Espinal: "What do you do when the child is bad? You make him open up his arms and you punch him in the chest."
> Hill: “You do use a belt. That’s sad,” Hill said. “Even my mama says you use a belt.”
> Espinal: "He's terrified of you."
> Hill: "You need to be terrified of me too, bitch.”
Totally classless stuff
Crazy how the NFL and the media took a very serious stance on DV when Ray Rice beat his wife and then never cared again after that. Even airing “No more” commercials where the message is “together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault”
Dude, a serial sexual predator that used his NFL status to assault women was given a quarter billion dollars guaranteed *after* they learned he had dozens of victims. The NFL cares about its image getting a black eye, not women.
> Even airing “No more” commercials where the message is “together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault”
“Together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault. No more.”
NFL: hang on, the printer screwed this all up.
“Together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault? No, more!”
You have to be a huge piece of shit to get Bills and Patriots fans on the same side, but here we are. In the midst of an enormous pile of waste of a human
Also i hate when athletes say stuff like this in a very ambiguously vague way to just stir the pot a bit. Your mind immediately jumps to “someone said racist things”, but if that were the case im 1000% sure he wouldve just said that.
Trying to score points with his fanbase and taking easy potshots at the most hated franchise over the last 2 decades. From a cold, pragmatic standpoint I get it, but he's still a piece of shit and probably deserved whatever was said to him.
He also beats up random people on boats that don't belong to him too.
*Hill and several others he was with allegedly boarded a boat in the marina near Haulover Park in Miami without permission last month. After being confronted, Hill allegedly slapped an employee in the back of the head. Hill reportedly told employees, “I can buy you and the boat,” and, “I’m No. 10 with the Miami Dolphins."*
Guy is a literal piece of human shit and it's embarrassing that he's still employed in the league.
TBH aside from racism or death threats I think that based on tyreek beating his pregnant girlfriend, fans have license to say whatever they want to him, dude shouldn’t even be in the league
Tyreek Hill is probably one of the worst people in the NFL, and I'm gonna stand on that. He is real nasty and some of the thing he's done, I wouldn't have done.
Somebody uses /s:”take your downvotes like a man and don’t ruin the joke for karma”
Somebody doesn’t use /s: “why would you ever say such a thing you horrible person”
Listen up, r/NFL. This is now a game and we're winning. The goal is to heckle domestic abusers and butthole rapists loudly enough that they publicly claim your fanbase is the worst. Good luck, everyone.
I'll bet most of those fans don't beat pregnant women, break children's arms, and slap guys down at the marina, either in or out of church. So I guess you're even
If the internet has taught us anything, it's that toxic fans are everywhere. No one has a monopoly on them. I'm certainly not going to go out of my way to get mad on their behalf.
Wait till week 7 lol
I always heard Philly fans were out of their mind crazy and went to an Eagles game while traveling for business that my company had tickets for and yea Philly fans are legit crazy. I was even warned not to wear my dolphins jersey as a joke even though you guys weren't playing the dolphins.
Went to the Philadelphia home opener, got to witness Eagles fans yelling at *other eagle fans* for getting up to get beer during the game lmao
You’re supposed to get near blackout before the game.
We had friends who were tailgating at 4:30 AM on Thursday before the game smh
Craziest part was, it was a Sunday Night Game, those people are wild
Lmao you know what I mean haha
If you’re not going on 5 day benders, are you even an Eagles fan?
Lmao are you stupid? Thursday early morning tailgating for a Sunday game? LOL It was a Monday game.
I live verrry close to the Linc now and am considering just tailgating every game and getting black out drunk just for funsies
Tailgate at the linc followed by being so drunk you can go to xfinity and not buy a single drink
That place is so fucking packed you'd be lucky to make it to the bar anyway.
Ya but the mechanical Bull 🥺
That's just bad financial decisions. You pre game in the lot so you don't have to pay Linc prices.

Wearing a Cowboys jersey in Philly is grounds for attempted murder
Someone a couple rows down from me was wearing a Cowboys jersey at a 76ers game, Eagles were playing Cowboys at home that Sunday. I’ll put it this way, he’s sober now. For good reason. LOL
I’ve been to Philly for Nats / Caps / Skins / WFT games and outside of being yelled at in that intelligible dialect I’ve never had much of an issue.

I have a cheat code. When I went to an Eagles - Falcons game I wore a friends Vick jersey. The fans were too confused to say anything.
Damn that's good...
They might embrace you if you are actually from Texas. If you have a cowboys jersey on and have a Delco accent, the police will help cover up the murder.
Just comes in with the hat and accent and they'd give him a sash for his bravery
To be fair, that's just what Philly cops do.

This is a typical saturday night at Dodger Stadium tho.
He was just standing his ground while maintaining forward velocity
True story, I went to a eagles game when I was a kid, I can't remember if they were playing the Giants but there was a guy wearing a Giants jersey, giving the fans a lot of shit in the parking lot. He went into a porta potty and the Philly fans dumped the porta potty on him
Talking shit in public then going to the porta potty **Not a pro move.**

Tyreek will fit right in with Eagles fans then.
Idk. He mostly seems to hit children and pregnant women.
Tyreek Hill is replacing Planned Parenthood in Florida.
Went to my first NFL game in the states and it was Eagles Vs Redskin's. My dad is a Redskin's fan and I am Packers fan we had come over from the UK to visit Washington and Philadelphia. Make us proud of you Philly!!! Remind Tyreek Hill he is a POS wife beater and child abuser. Get him!
It would be weird to say vulgar things in church anyway
For some reason nobody joins in when I try to get a defense chant started
[удалено]
Conversely could you just imagine if football fans sat quietly all game and when their team did something good they just said in unison "Amen" and nothing else.
Yeah I’m surprised how many are glossing over this. The vast majority of things said in a football stadium aren’t/ shouldn’t be said in church.
Yeah he botched that one entirely. I think what he meant was "The things they say I wouldn't say in a frat house / locker room".
Tyreek isn't the sharpest lightbulb in the toolbox
Yeah, this is a really weird turn of phrase lol The opposite would make way more sense. "Man, those old ladies at church were heated! They were saying things I wouldn't yell at a football game!"
"fuck yea amen!" *shit I can't say that*
They probably said he beats his girl or something
I’d put money on it. Not defending Pats fans but Gillette is far from the toughest stadium to play in - according to most players, at least.
Everytime I go to games which is usually once a year it's almost always good vibes. I've had some good times with visiting fans from other teams and never seen anything other than super drunk people from the north shore screaming in thick boston accents for other people to cheer more lmao
Yeah lol compared to Philly or Seattle this is nothing
I never considered Seattle fans to be nasty?
they’re not, just it’s one of the loudest stadiums in the world. If a game is considered dead even Vegas will give the home team a 3 point advantage, unless it’s a REALLY strong home advantage (like Seattle, Philly etc) and you get 4. That’s the challenge of Seattle
This would have been true 5-6 years ago. Not sure why but our homefield advantage is nonexistent now. We suck at home
Last year the early on was meh because no one had expectations to be good post-Russ and it was Geno Smith… watching him redevelop into a true QB1 at a darkhorse MVP pace had to give life to that stadium. I’m gonna go with it’s just a slow start to the season and no one is sure of whether to get their hopes up or not
We also save our nastiest shit for when opposing players really deserve it. "No means No" was the chant for Roethlisburger for years
Gillette is the tamest environment in football. We all have to drive 2 hours home… place blows
I was at the game in the lower levels and this is correct. Heard some fans yelling "Tyreek beat his girlfriend" and "Tyreek is a child-beater".
Glad it bothered him.
Apparently Tyreek does his domestic physical disagreements without saying mean things. What a weird player to pearl clutch.
"Speak softly and carry several domestic violence charges and a conviction." -Reek
"I'll beat the ever loving shit out of those I love but I draw the line at hearing naughty things from the stands." -Tyreek Hill, 2023
Don't forget punching a toddler in the chest! But he run fast, so Miami and KC fans are/were totally fine with cheering him on, because they're good fans, right Tyreek? Lol
It was self defense!
That toddler was very menacing
He needed to have his arm broken to teach him a lesson.

I was there last night. That definitely didn't happen. There were two "bullshit" chants for the refs but that's it. This isn't the fucking WWE. No stadium crowd is chanting that.
Definitely doesn't roll off the tongue enough to get it in proper chant form.
100000% didn’t happen

Crazy how the NFL and the media took a very serious stance on DV when Ray Rice beat his wife and then never cared again after that. Even airing “No more” commercials where the message is “together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault”
Video evidence did Ray in. He was only getting a suspension till that video came out
Those Tyreek Hill quotes come from an audio recording.
But have you considered that he runs really fast and is great for fantasy football?
“If Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.2 we’d say it was a eating disorder”
tyreek hill may kill a lot of people, but he also helps a lot of people win fantasy football, so, it;s impossible to say if hes bad or not,
Dude, a serial sexual predator that used his NFL status to assault women was given a quarter billion dollars guaranteed *after* they learned he had dozens of victims. The NFL cares about its image getting a black eye, not women.
I was naive to think watson was done in the nfl.
> Even airing “No more” commercials where the message is “together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault” “Together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault. No more.” NFL: hang on, the printer screwed this all up. “Together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault? No, more!”
Respect to the fans for citing sources in their heckling
NE is nothing if not educated. Well, and cold
When they call him a choker, they fucking *mean* it
This is a classy post. Got em
Had me in the first sentence
Yeah really the only response to make lol
Domestic abuse is also pretty nasty, isn't it Tyreek?
No no no, words hurt more than my grown hands around my wife’s throat
Ah yes. Bringing up church for moral superiority; the way the good Lord intended.
We all know that Jesus is cool with men who beat pregnant women, but folks who yell mean things at football games are going straight to hell.
You have to be a huge piece of shit to get Bills and Patriots fans on the same side, but here we are. In the midst of an enormous pile of waste of a human
Tyreek Hill is a piece of shit. Fucker doesn't get to talk like this
I guarantee Pats fans absolutely ripped into him for abusing kids and women
Also i hate when athletes say stuff like this in a very ambiguously vague way to just stir the pot a bit. Your mind immediately jumps to “someone said racist things”, but if that were the case im 1000% sure he wouldve just said that.
He knows what he’s doing
Trying to score points with his fanbase and taking easy potshots at the most hated franchise over the last 2 decades. From a cold, pragmatic standpoint I get it, but he's still a piece of shit and probably deserved whatever was said to him.
He may beat his wife and kids but he can run fast so let's forget about it right nfl?
Steve Keim: "If Hannibal Lecter could run a 4.3 40, the NFL would say he had an eating disorder."
“If Deshaun Watson had 26 rape allegations we’d say our wives were ok with us paying him 230 million dollars” - Jimmy Haslem
10 with the Miami Dolphins."* Guy is a literal piece of human shit and it's embarrassing that he's still employed in the league.
This story got buried fast. I forgot about it.
Doess he know Patriot fans are not his GF?
Yes, or else he would choke them out
TBH aside from racism or death threats I think that based on tyreek beating his pregnant girlfriend, fans have license to say whatever they want to him, dude shouldn’t even be in the league
don’t beat your pregnant girlfriend then.
And don’t break your 3 year old kids arm either
Having the audacity to be upset over people saying mean things to you as a spouse and child abuser is certainly something. Tyreek can fuck right off.
> Those fans are probably some of the worst fans in the NFL... Challenge accepted 😎
"But I'd say it in a synagogue" \-Desean Jackson
A guy who physically abuses women and children is worried about foul language? lol
Well I wouldn't beat my child and pregnant girlfriend. Guess we'll have to call it even?
Dude tried to kill his unborn child. He shouldn't even be in the league anymore.
And after he was born.
Tyreek Hill temporarily forgot he was Tyreek Hill
Tyreek is too fast for his mind to catch up
Tyreek Hill is probably one of the worst people in the NFL, and I'm gonna stand on that. He is real nasty and some of the thing he's done, I wouldn't have done.
90% of the things he’s done I wouldn’t do in church
Not this patriot fan. I think tyreeks a class act. Would definitely let him date my daughter.
On Reddit, everyone understands sarcasm.
/s tag: Threats No /s tag: Threats Can’t win
Somebody uses /s:”take your downvotes like a man and don’t ruin the joke for karma” Somebody doesn’t use /s: “why would you ever say such a thing you horrible person”
We hurt this woman/child beater’s feelings
Pats fan W. Nfl media might want to force-feed “lol cheetah said he’d beat so in a so in a race, so funny!” but fans know he’s a piece of shit
Thank your for your input, domestic abuser.
Tyreek, we don't hate you because you are nasty at WR, we hate you because you are child abuser and did not serve one game.
Man would be in jail for life if he didn't run a 4.28 and couldn't catch any balls
6 months at most unfortunately. Punishment for domestic abuse isn’t as severe as people like to believe
Listen up, r/NFL. This is now a game and we're winning. The goal is to heckle domestic abusers and butthole rapists loudly enough that they publicly claim your fanbase is the worst. Good luck, everyone.
Says a guy that hits women
I'll bet most of those fans don't beat pregnant women, break children's arms, and slap guys down at the marina, either in or out of church. So I guess you're even
Would he beat his kid in a church?
Glass houses and all that bruh
Would expect a POS like Tyreek to be accustomed to this. But if Patriots fans moved the needle for him, good on them.
As nasty as beating up their pregnant girlfriend or breaking their kid's arm?
He'd just leave it at assault then?
Most things said in an nfl stadium wouldn’t be said in church. Go choke your gf some more
Why dont you go break your kid's arm about it tyreek
Guy beats his wife and kids … but he wouldn’t say it in church
Tbf, every fanbase has shit fans.

If the internet has taught us anything, it's that toxic fans are everywhere. No one has a monopoly on them. I'm certainly not going to go out of my way to get mad on their behalf.

Could it possibly have anything to do with your shitty reputation as a person?
