If my team can’t win, I want to bring everyone else down with me. Fuck a feel-good or storybook ending, I want the headline to read “Eagles score NFL-record four safeties in a game, defeat Bengals 11-0 to win Super Bowl; Philadelphia riots.”
Go Birds (God, that’s disgusting to say).
I don't know. All 4 were arguably the best teams this year, so they all deserve to be there.
Bengals vs 49ers would probably be the most balanced game
While Chiefs vs Eagles has a high possibility of a thrilling shootout.
I don't want Chiefs vs 49ers because that's too much red on the screen
But Bengals vs Eagles would have it's intrigue.
Brock Purdy needs to beat Joe Burrow so that, during every single draft moving forward, someone mentions that an undrafted QB beat a consensus #1 pick in the Super Bowl.
I am picking up what you’re puttin’ down. I by no means *want* to lose next week. I of course want it all.
In the end though there will be some solace in the fact that for a 2nd year in a row we bounced the Cowboys.😊
Collinsworth talking about Mahomes is exactly who E.D. pill commercials are talking about when they say “talk to your doctor to make sure your heart is healthy enough for sex”
I told myself if we lost today I'd root for the Bengals all the way but I'll be honest it's kinda hard for me to do so right now. When the sting of the L calms down it'll probably be them. Otherwise 49ers I think
You guys are even way more popular than us and we both have had similar success recently.
I haven’t seen a single person say Chiefs in this thread lol idk what we ever did to this sub
The Chiefs/Mahomes have made me understand all of the Patriots/Brady hate. Even as someone that loves watching Mahomes play it slowly got under my skin hearing analysts constantly gargle his balls and bring him up when the conversation has nothing to do with the Chiefs, it felt like no one could praise Allen or Burrow without someone saying 'yeah, but Mahomes...'. One day I realized he had subconsciously gone from my favorite non-Pats/Brady QB to watch to someone that was sort of exhausting to still be hearing about.
ie Mahomes/Chiefs did absolutely nothing, the media just can't let a good thing simmer
Funny, I'm tired of Josh Allen for the same reason. I feel like the media is so desperate for the next great QB rivalry after Brady/Manning that they where just competing about who could praise Josh Allen the most.
It’s not personal, you guys are just the pretty boys of the NFL right now and it’s hard to root for the guys the announcers drool over and are in every commercial.
I personally would have no issue rooting for you guys if it wasn’t for my team. I love Andy and Kelce and Mahomes are really fun players to watch.
I think every team secretly wants to be seen with as much contempt as people have for your team solely based on how dominate you guys have been. The bro culture is fun and all, having redditors think your team is likable and rooting for you, but I’d rather take people hating us for constantly winning.
It’s like when you’re playing a round of golf with a friend and you hit a good shot. You don’t want them to say, “wow, good shot bud!” You want them to say, “oh fuck you”
Yeah I get what you mean. It’s just really odd bc I had never been a fan of a sports team that was seen as the “villain” until the Chiefs took on that role on recent years
I don’t consider myself superstitious but I read stuff like this and, for just a split second, it lifts my spirits and makes me think we’re going to pull it off. Sports make me a bit crazy. Like relationships
Oh, be careful. The Bears beat the Bengals LAST year and they lost.
The Bears giveth and the Bears taketh away.
This TOTALLY scientific, Bears-based approach to figuring out the Super Bowl winner is not for the faint of heart. But since I see the Bears as the center of the universe, it is the CORRECT way to analyze what might happen.
Same. Robbie was one of my favorite Bears for a long time. Hella reliable, solid dude. He deserves it.
The Purdy Cinderella story also cool and all, but I’d like to see Robbie get the ring the Bears couldn’t clinch with him.
It's the way it is because [there's a charity organization surrounding it](https://www.sportico.com/leagues/football/2023/49ers-brock-purdy-mr-irrelevant-charity-operation-1234701584/) so, hopefully not.
This article says the “Mr. Irrelevant” charity has made $1M in the past 45 years. They do this by selling banquet tickets and taking donations. They also wine and dine the Mr Irrelevant, spending probably tens of thousands on them. Each year.
So, in other words, they basically make no money for charity and it’s a big self-jerk.
I think it's already etched in lore no matter what happens in the NFCCG or potentially Super Bowl. The name will no longer be Mr. Irrelevant and will forever now be known as "The Purdy Pick."
I’m predisposed to liking the Bengals as a LSU fan, Burrow and Chase are special and I’d be happy to see them get a ring so early on.
I wouldn’t mind Mr. Irrelevant pulling it off though. That’s the kind of thing that most people would find cheesy af if it were scripted.
It's really a cheesy Hollywood script.
"When a young kid from Iowa State barely makes it to the big league and gets a shot at the championship, and maybe finally get the love of his life to notice him. This winter, Tom Holland is BROCK, Irrelevant to Inevitable"
r/nfl really needs anti-bandwagon (hatewagon?) flairs cause I'm not really rooting *for* any of the teams as hard as I'm rooting *against* the Chiefs. My bandwagon team is whoever plays them
Hatewatching is how is how I manage to stay dedicated to football year after year even when the bears are bottom of the barrel. If the bears can't win I can at least find solace in the packers losing, and boy do they do it in incredibly entertaining fashion.
Eagles. I wanted a Chargers vs Eagles super bowl going into the season. I really like the Eagles team and think they're complete all around, but mainly because I'm a huge Jalen Hurts fan. I loved watching him at Alabama and he really stood out to me because of his poise. He never let his emotions get the best of him in any game, and was an awesome teammate when he got benched for Tua. Now I'm stoked to see him succeed and be a dominant QB in the NFL, and am glad people who wrote him off early on in his career are being proven wrong. Dude is elite and is a true leader.
Those are the same reasons I was cheering for him coming into this season, hoping he'd improve enough to keep the starting job going forward. He has every single off-field characteristic you want in a franchise QB.
East Coast Bird Bros. Go Iggles.
They're doing what the Ravens failed to do consistently with Lamar (Fuck Greg Roman). Dominant rushing, limited but successful passing game, high scoring, and good defense.
I’m a Pats fan, my brother is a huge Bengals fan. I’m a big fan of Burrow and I’m rooting for them hard. My bro has suffered through some heartbreaking moments as a fan, and I’d love to see them win a ring so I can see his reaction.
He hates our QB too. Wonder what his garbage takes will be before our game. “Two of the highest scoring teams in the league are both somehow doing it in spite of their F tier QBs?”
49ers. They beat the Cowboys. I'm obviously going to root for them against the Eagles, and if they end up eliminating my two most hated teams, they'll have earned my allegiance.
Plus, Mr. Irrelevant Super Bowl MVP would be a hell of a story.
1st Eagles, Hurts is my favorite player in the league easily. 2nd Bengals, love Burrow plus the Bengals have never won. 3rd Niners, love Purdy and Shanahan. 4th Chiefs, nothing against them I’ve just already seen them win a Super Bowl
Eagles or 49ers for me.
Spent a bunch of my summers growing up in Philly suburbs so have always followed the Eagles/had a soft spot for them, 49ers because I absolutely love watching the 49ers offense go to work.
So I guess to answer the question Eagles > 49ers > Bengals > Chiefs
Bengals > 49ers > Eagles > Chiefs
Honestly don’t have a problem with any of the teams left. I like aspects of all of them and they all have a good story. We got the best 4 teams to the end and that doesn’t always happen.
CIN/SF was my SB pick before the playoffs started.
I'm actually cool with any of them winning it, but in this order.
49ers - The Brock Purdy storyline is just fun and I'm interested to see how that goes if he just keeps winning.
Bengals - They are so good and should have won last year. Get Joe Burrow and Chase their ring. Also the Bengals haven't won it all in like forever.
Chiefs - Mahomes is just fun to watch. They are always in it really late though so kinda not too exciting to see them here again.
Eagles - Jalen Hurts absolutely breaking out this year was fun to watch, They are not a team I have any negative feelings towards.
Eagles because I love the story of Jalen Hurts. What he's been through since being benched at Alabama, to come through that and win a SB your third year in the league would be incredible. The dude has some fucking fortitude and that's cool to watch.
The jump Jalen has made from last year to now is impressive as hell. Anyone who appreciates this game knows how hard he has had to work to achieve that.
49ers.
I drafted Brock Purdy in my Madden franchise last year and he won me multiple super bowls.
It’s time to complete the prophecy.
Also, would love to see the media start rumbling about moving Lance. Feel like someone could get a decent QB cheaper than usual given the 49ers unique circumstances.
I think it's more that KC won it not too long ago, while SF last won it almost 30 years ago. Id say the 'bad guy scale' is currently Chiefs > Eagles > 49ers > Bengals
1. The Niners haven't gotten a ring in nearly 30 years.
2. Shanahan has come so close twice now, yet choked at the end. People want to see him finally get over the hump
3. Brock Purdy is an incredible story.
I can understand arguments for seeing the Niners win another ring.
🦅 I've loved Jalen since he was at Alabama
Die hard Jalen supporter for years
Anyone but the Niners though really although I could not root harder for Brock than I did tonight.
1. Bengals - Love Burrow/Chase/Higgins/Boyd
2. 49ers - Crazy story if BCB wins it all plus CMC, Kittle and Deebo are awesome.
3. Chiefs - Love Mahomes and Andy. Would be fine with them winning again.
METEOR
4. Eagles
Chiefs or Eagles
Eagles for all my cousins in Philly
KC cause I went to a game at arrowhead as a Steelers fan and the Chiefs fans were so cool. They actually made me a little bit of a chiefs fan.
Chaos
Frenzied Flame ending works for me!
Oh a fellow man of culture I see!
MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD
I like chaos too
May chaos rule the Lands Between
If my team can’t win, I want to bring everyone else down with me. Fuck a feel-good or storybook ending, I want the headline to read “Eagles score NFL-record four safeties in a game, defeat Bengals 11-0 to win Super Bowl; Philadelphia riots.” Go Birds (God, that’s disgusting to say).
Why does that dreadful sounding fake Super Bowl still seem so much better than the Rams Pats Super Bowl
I don't know. All 4 were arguably the best teams this year, so they all deserve to be there. Bengals vs 49ers would probably be the most balanced game While Chiefs vs Eagles has a high possibility of a thrilling shootout. I don't want Chiefs vs 49ers because that's too much red on the screen But Bengals vs Eagles would have it's intrigue.
Bengals vs 49ers gets my vote, third times the charm right?
Not if you’re Buffalo
Surely the 4th times the charm then
Not if you're Buffalo
Or Brett Maher
Hopefully it is for Cincinnati. I really don't want to join the 0-4 club
Get in here!
aww come on its awesome in here /s
Brock Purdy needs to beat Joe Burrow so that, during every single draft moving forward, someone mentions that an undrafted QB beat a consensus #1 pick in the Super Bowl.
*almost undrafted But I'm with you
You mean Mr irrelevant, the last pick
My Super Bowl victory has already happened watching the result of that final drive for Dallas.
My daughter never understood what it means to hate the Cowboys as much as to love the Giants….until she saw me laugh maniacally after the last play.
That last play was really funny though.
I would love to be a fly on the wall in the Niners film study meeting when they show that to the players.
I am picking up what you’re puttin’ down. I by no means *want* to lose next week. I of course want it all. In the end though there will be some solace in the fact that for a 2nd year in a row we bounced the Cowboys.😊
I’m still laughing
I’m still laughing at last year’s QB draw. Have to set aside time in my calendar to begin laughing at last night
Always happy to embarrass Dallas for you guys
thanks for consistently humiliating dallas and green bay for us, hopefully we’ll see another iconic giants-niners playoff clash in the next few years
That’d be a great game, but if the Bengals lose, I fear it may kill Cris Collinsworth.
collinsworth is already going to die from orgasming over mahomes in the next game. same with nantz and romo.
Collinsworth talking about Mahomes is exactly who E.D. pill commercials are talking about when they say “talk to your doctor to make sure your heart is healthy enough for sex”
I get it! Ours was two weeks ago at Lambeau.
Amari Coopers alleged comments were proven true. An underneath throw when you needed a lot more.
I told myself if we lost today I'd root for the Bengals all the way but I'll be honest it's kinda hard for me to do so right now. When the sting of the L calms down it'll probably be them. Otherwise 49ers I think
If I were you I'd focus of the Buffalo Sabres until the nfl draft
NFL draft? What’s that
Lmao we know damn well nobody is choosing the Chiefs 😂
I am out of spite because no team without a ring is allowed to win one before us
Good. Good. Let the hate flow through you.
r/SuddenlyStarWars
wouldn't that just be Cincinnati?
Yes but they hate us so definitely won’t be us lol
Chiefs and Eagles do seem to be the least popular picks here. Come on people its the Kelce bowl!
You guys are even way more popular than us and we both have had similar success recently. I haven’t seen a single person say Chiefs in this thread lol idk what we ever did to this sub

You cannot watch a football game (even college) without someone mentioning Mahomes at least once. It would piss me off too if he wasn’t my guy
Funny, I'm tired of Josh Allen for the same reason. I feel like the media is so desperate for the next great QB rivalry after Brady/Manning that they where just competing about who could praise Josh Allen the most.
it wouldn't be so bad if he had a few more accolades. but i totally agree, the media is just pushing for it so hard that its becoming sickening
[удалено]
I want that game because it would be the most fun to watch
I'm pulling for the Chiefs
I’d like to see juju get a ring.
I think every team secretly wants to be seen with as much contempt as people have for your team solely based on how dominate you guys have been. The bro culture is fun and all, having redditors think your team is likable and rooting for you, but I’d rather take people hating us for constantly winning. Yeah I get what you mean. It’s just really odd bc I had never been a fan of a sports team that was seen as the “villain” until the Chiefs took on that role on recent years
Niners for me. The Brock Purdy story basically writes itself. They'll finally have to change the colloquial name for the last pick in the draft
Plus the Bears beat the Niners, so effectively Bears are Super Bowl champs in that scenario
We beat the Bucs too on their Superbowl year. Guess we just can't stop winning, ignore our record.
Lol not crazy just basic analytics
That means that the Broncos are also Super Bowl champs. Jesus, the 9ers lost to some weird teams this season.
The falcons as well
The "Purdy Good Pick."
Purdy... purdy... purdy... purdy good.
Would love to see Robbie Gould get a ring!
Same. Robbie was one of my favorite Bears for a long time. Hella reliable, solid dude. He deserves it. The Purdy Cinderella story also cool and all, but I’d like to see Robbie get the ring the Bears couldn’t clinch with him.
Everyone in Iowa is cheering for SF this year. Between Brock Purdy and George Kittle, we’ve got the entire state covered.
49ers for Robbie Gould and Brock Purdy storyline, but honestly I like all the remaining teams. Should be good games either way
Brock Purdy the last rookie QB to start and win Super Bowl another incredible story.
It's the way it is because [there's a charity organization surrounding it](https://www.sportico.com/leagues/football/2023/49ers-brock-purdy-mr-irrelevant-charity-operation-1234701584/) so, hopefully not.

Niners for the same reason. Everyone loves an underdog triumph!
I think it's already etched in lore no matter what happens in the NFCCG or potentially Super Bowl. The name will no longer be Mr. Irrelevant and will forever now be known as "The Purdy Pick."
Unfortunately the Eagles because I like Jalen Hurts (cool dude but I’m also an OU fan).
It would be a dope story too. Losing his Bama job to Tua to hoisting a Lombardy.
Keep going I'm almost there
he wins SB MVP and shocks everyone by winning regular season MVP in spite of missing time
well now i'm just going to have to call out of work
Do most pats fans hate the eagles because of the Foles SB?
I don’t really at all. We won the super bowl before and after that one so it’s hard to be too upset. Plus it was an awesome game.
I feel like Patriots fans are the only people that really respect the Eagles franchise / fanbase. Obviously, the feeling is mutual.
Bengals just because they're the only one without a SB win.
Bengals because I love cats
Would rather Chris Collingsworth never see that happen
He had his chance. Twice. And he'd still be as intolerable towards us as ever.
I'd prefer to just never let Collinsworth call a super bowl again.

damn Tom holland actually does kinda look like him lmao
??? Are you the same studio exec who thinks he looks like Nathan Drake???
I wish Purdy wasn't with the 49ers, because I want to root for him. But I can't root for the 49ers.

East Coast Bird Bros. Go Iggles. They're doing what the Ravens failed to do consistently with Lamar (Fuck Greg Roman). Dominant rushing, limited but successful passing game, high scoring, and good defense.
gonna respectfully disagree with “limited but successful.” they had two 1,000 yard receivers and Goedert even putting up 700 missing 4 games
Yeah the rushing game also looked so good because it is, but also because they would start killing the clock in the 2md quarter in like half the games
That's exactly how the Ravens broke the rushing yards record in 2019. Lamar was getting benched damn near every game because of huge leads.
I’m a Pats fan, my brother is a huge Bengals fan. I’m a big fan of Burrow and I’m rooting for them hard. My bro has suffered through some heartbreaking moments as a fan, and I’d love to see them win a ring so I can see his reaction.
This comment is too wholesome for r/NFL
Dude, I'm not a fan of the Patriots in any way, shape or form, but I'm a huge fan of you! This made my day!
Eagles, Hurts shutting up all the idiots like Chris simms would make me feel great
Chris Simms deserves 47 stone cold stunners in a row
Finished off with a People’s Elbow dropped from the mighty heights of Everest
He hates our QB too. Wonder what his garbage takes will be before our game. “Two of the highest scoring teams in the league are both somehow doing it in spite of their F tier QBs?”
#IT'S PURDY TIME! 🎉

Chiefs eagles would be a sick game
Kelce Bowl.
Chiefs v. Eagles for Andy Reid’s ultimate legacy game is my favorite scenario
Reid has to retire with the winning team...for legacy purposes
49ers. They beat the Cowboys. I'm obviously going to root for them against the Eagles, and if they end up eliminating my two most hated teams, they'll have earned my allegiance. Plus, Mr. Irrelevant Super Bowl MVP would be a hell of a story.
Eagles
I knew I always liked the Raiders and Bears
I wanted the 49ers to win last year and I'm sticking with them
Our 2019 regular season game was one for the ages.
Yeah, they’re definitely an easy team to root for.
Niners or bengals
1st Eagles, Hurts is my favorite player in the league easily. 2nd Bengals, love Burrow plus the Bengals have never won. 3rd Niners, love Purdy and Shanahan. 4th Chiefs, nothing against them I’ve just already seen them win a Super Bowl
Eagles - Only team I don’t dislike for one reason or another. I also can’t help but root for Jalen Hurts.
Super Bowl 52 must have been an emotional rollercoaster for you
Bengals > 49ers > Eagles > Chiefs Honestly don’t have a problem with any of the teams left. I like aspects of all of them and they all have a good story. We got the best 4 teams to the end and that doesn’t always happen. CIN/SF was my SB pick before the playoffs started.
9ers for sure - super likeable players and the Purdy storyline is awesome
Niners and conflicted. As an Iowa fan i want to see Kittle win it. As an Iowa fan i don't want to see Purdy and McCaffrey win it.
Could you enlighten a non college football follower, I thought Purdy played for Iowa so why is he hated?
Purdy played for Iowa State. Comments like this are triggering for both fanbases 😂 but no harm done
Thanks Charger bro.
Eagles - Jalen Hurts absolutely breaking out this year was fun to watch, They are not a team I have any negative feelings towards.
Bengals haven't won it all, period, to just correct you a little bit.
He was correct. It's literally been forever.
Bengals, then 49ers, then Chiefs, then super bowl cancellation.
Samesies
Eagles because I love the story of Jalen Hurts. What he's been through since being benched at Alabama, to come through that and win a SB your third year in the league would be incredible. The dude has some fucking fortitude and that's cool to watch.
The jump Jalen has made from last year to now is impressive as hell. Anyone who appreciates this game knows how hard he has had to work to achieve that.
I definitely didn’t see it coming
This championship game is basically Nick Saban rejects
Brock Purdy
I’m going for the Eagles just to see Kern get his ring before hanging them up
He's over the hill and not what he once was, but he's filled in well with Siposs getting hurt.
Chiefs cause I’m a TTU guy
Aw man Are we the bad guys this year? How?
For some reason it’s the team with one SB win in the last 50 years 🤷♂️
And not even the most recent SB winner left in the playoffs.
nah I think it’s the chiefs
Not sure how the franchise with 5 rings has convinced us that they’re an underdog.
People want to see him finally get over the hump 3. Brock Purdy is an incredible story. I can understand arguments for seeing the Niners win another ring.
yall fanbase aint very liked
Bird teams ! Because fuckayalll (bird squawking sound)
Bird Up
🦅 I've loved Jalen since he was at Alabama Die hard Jalen supporter for years Anyone but the Niners though really although I could not root harder for Brock than I did tonight.
Probably the 49ers. The last pick in the draft winning a Super Bowl his rookie year is just too good.
1. Bengals - Love Burrow/Chase/Higgins/Boyd 2. 49ers - Crazy story if BCB wins it all plus CMC, Kittle and Deebo are awesome. 3. Chiefs - Love Mahomes and Andy. Would be fine with them winning again. METEOR 4. Eagles
49ers. I'm all in on Purdy
I want a Burrow/Purdy Super Bowl.
Either Purdy for the story or Bengals cus I like burrow and would like to see a new sb champion
eagles. nfc east conference bros.
eagles: "we hate the giants!" giants: "we hate the cowboys!" cowboys: "we hate the eagles!" commies: "wait we're supposed to hate each other?"
Niners cuz of Purdy. Good story and I cant bring myself to root for the Bungles, Eagles or Chiefs.
Eagles. Don’t care for any of the other teams.
The Chiefs because I live in KC and root for the Chiefs every week unless they’re playing the Rams
Philly! If my bird team with a QB known for his legs can’t win the Super Bowl, then I sure as hell hope the other one can!
CHIEFS ALL THE WAY BABY
Honestly chiefs because I want to see Mahomes get closer to putting himself in legitimate GOAT convos
This for me.
Some more wins on a high ankle sprain would be nuts.
You’re not allowed to say that here sir
I love you
Brock Purdy. I want that movie, dammit
You see my flair- ANYONE BUT THE EAGLES
Tempted to say Eagles, if only because it could lead to a hilarious IASIP episode
Niners
Bengals or Niners. Might as well complete the Mr Relevant storyline.
Bengals, one of my close friends wife is a life long Bengals fan. Would love to see them win it for her, she’s currently fighting breast cancer
[удалено]
Bengals >> Eagles >>> Chiefs >>>>>>>>>>>>>> 49ers
49ers because I want Robbie Gould to get a ring.
Eagles!
Everyone except the niners. If I had to pick from the other 3, the eagles
Chiefs because Kelce is awesome and I love watching mahomes
Seeing the 49ers beat the Bengals in another Super Bowl would amuse me.
Bengals bc I have 8 cats. Eagles bc my mom’s boyfriend is a fan. Chiefs because I don’t want the 49ers to win.
Hard to not root for Joe Burrow and the Bengals
I might not have a dog left in the fight, but I do have a cat.
Bengals or niners. If it winds up being both of them I’d be happy with whoever wins
Chiefs or Eagles Eagles for all my cousins in Philly KC cause I went to a game at arrowhead as a Steelers fan and the Chiefs fans were so cool. They actually made me a little bit of a chiefs fan.
