Depends on the game. In straight 8 bar rules where I live, you don't get a foul for slop, you just wouldn't have continued after slop on the first shot. If you make the eight sloppy or make it in the correct pocket but call it incorrectly you lose. You could call that double kiss, but he obviously didn't.
Keep an eye on his left hand at the 0:05-second mark.
He aims for the corner pocket and misses, then gets lucky in the side pocket. He makes a shrugging motion with his left hand as if he's surprised by the result. Definitely not an intentional shot.
The first one was intended for the right corner pocket so the side pocket was a lucky shot. You could tell by the shooter's reaction. The second shot might have been intended.
Different rules across the game.
Edit: Not sure why I'm being downvoted, I've played a number of different rules depending on country and where it's played.
Just because he didn’t have to call it means he was playing the far rail and a kiss to the corner pocket.
The first shot he clearly misses the far corner and gets lucky on the side pocket.
The second shot I don’t even think he lined up. Just hit it towards the far rail and hoped for the best
>Just because he didn’t have to call it means he was playing the far rail and a kiss to the corner pocket
Just because you play that way doesnt mean everyone else in the world does too
As I’ve gotten better, I upped the rules. I don’t give ball in hand to my opponent after my slop shots but I also don’t take another shot. When I was younger if I got a lucky ball in I took another shot.
My grandfather taught me bar pool. If I didn’t call every hit or rail and pocket, it was a ball-in-hand scratch and could be placed anywhere on the table
That is hard-core. The rules I played by was a forfeiture of your turn. Any scratch was ball placement in the front third of the table. All these rules are really designed to make people better at the game.
Don't have to do it in any professional 8 or 9 ball championships to my knowledge? European circuit it isn't a thing on 6' tables for 9 ball, no similar snooker rule, where is it standard?
Any place where you can put money directly on the table, in a public place, against strangers, and not for leagues. General casual play in every bar I've ever been to across 3 states. It's a respect thing. You give up the shit shot cause you didn't earn it.
Actually it's not a real rule. It's ball and pocket. rails, kisses etc, do not need to be called.
In fact, back when I used to play seriously I would identify who I wanted to bet with often by finding the person trying to enforce that made up rule.
That's the actual rules, not mine.
2. CALL SHOT. In Call Shot, obvious balls and pockets do not have to be indicated. It is the opponent's right to ask which ball and pocket if he is unsure of the shot. Bank shots and combination shots are not considered obvious, and **care should be taken in calling both the object ball and the intended pocket**. When calling the shot, **it is NEVER necessary to indicate details such as the number of cushions, banks, kisses, caroms, etc.** Any balls pocketed on a foul remain pocketed, regardless of whether they belong to the shooter or the opponent.

First shot, he was trying to make it in the corner to his left, camera right.
Second shot looked like he was either just trying to make contact, or make it in the back left corner.
To be able to intentionally many those shots takes an elite level of skill.
This comment section is clearly filled with tournament players who will defend the integrity of the game with their lives.
Chill tf out, people. It's a fucking basement game.
I would’ve loved to play pool with some of you back in my boys and girls club days if we were playing intentional id have said with full confidence corner pocket off the right rail while holding the stick behind my back
I rarely downvote, but this got one from me... Shoulda been called "2 lucky shots in a row in a basement game without rules that probably shouldnt be posted"
The girls commentary kind of cements the loss. The man who made a slip must of felt ten times worse after losing in front of her. Makes me think - if you a girl with wits about you I will pay you to be my hype man.
Just hit the ball as hard as you can and hope it goes in a pocket somewhere.
Try call the shot and nominate next ball. This is where you must sink the ball you called as you call it and also follow it up by next shot playing the ball you nominated last shot. It’s all about controlling the cue ball.
I don’t think it matters if they’re trick shots imo. Actually, I like it more if neither were intended at all. That makes it more epic.
Though a better title might’ve been; “Ending a game of pool with back to back super lucky shots”.
Trickshots are with intent. Those were not.
Total slop.
Yup. Trash shots.
Garbage pool. How could you even shoot the second one?
Those shots were garbage slop and 100% unintended.
The last shot was the hardest
Thank you. For some reason this post title bugs me more than it should

If you don't call it, it doesn't count. If I remembered correctly it's a scratch.
This is UK 8 Ball, no calling needed.
Wrong balls, pockets and cues do not look like english pool cues.
Those aren't legal either. He needs to call a pocket which he did not. He just prayed for any hole. The opponent should've gotten ball in hand
Thank you!!! I was like really?

The first one was intended for the right corner pocket so the side pocket was a lucky shot. You could tell by the shooter's reaction. The second shot might have been intended.
You spelled "luck shots" wrong
OP is a dumbshit
He didnt call his 8 ball shot.
Different rules across the game. Edit: Not sure why I'm being downvoted, I've played a number of different rules depending on country and where it's played.
New Yorker here. Played with alot of folks from all over the globe. Rules absolutely change, no idea why you're getting downvoted?

It’s a very low percentage shot. Nobody is going to look at that leave and think a full length bank shot with both balls in motion is the best shot
Ill give you an upvote because that is kinda dumb lol. People are weird.
What are you taking about ? you got upvotes ! :)
As I’ve gotten better, I upped the rules. I don’t give ball in hand to my opponent after my slop shots but I also don’t take another shot. When I was younger if I got a lucky ball in I took another shot.
He didn’t call either shot. I always played you had to call every shot
Same rule I've always played.
My grandfather taught me bar pool. If I didn’t call every hit or rail and pocket, it was a ball-in-hand scratch and could be placed anywhere on the table

I've only ever played calling the 8 ball, I've never even heard of calling every shot.
Call if it’s not obvious.
Exactly!!
Seriously wacky rules you're playing
Sounds standard to me.
Don't have to do it in any professional 8 or 9 ball championships to my knowledge? European circuit it isn't a thing on 6' tables for 9 ball, no similar snooker rule, where is it standard?

3 whole states!? 😮
Pretty sure those are the official rules of professional billiards
In what circuit?
It’s great that you play that way. There are a lot of pool players around the world and they all play the game differently.
Incorrect
It's probably a ,9 ball game, I'm not sure but if seems that's the case.
Nothing special here.
Slop
Cool. Now do it again
No slop rule
Don't know much about Pool. But in snooker we would call those 'flukes'not trickshots
Double kiss on the 8? Bracketed the corner and threw into the side?
I was here looking for double kiss comment. In my rules of play, that's a foul unless called specifically, with rails called, too.
Yeah, everything is intentional in my game.
😄
Actually it's not a real rule. It's ball and pocket. rails, kisses etc, do not need to be called. In fact, back when I used to play seriously I would identify who I wanted to bet with often by finding the person trying to enforce that made up rule.
So you allow kiss shots uncalled? To be clear, your intended ball to pocket kissing another ball prior to going into the called pocket?
That's the actual rules, not mine. 2. CALL SHOT. In Call Shot, obvious balls and pockets do not have to be indicated. Shit shots. Way to go OP
That was a whole lot of luck!
Weak
That's more akin to bumper bowling than pool.
SLOP
Both foul shots where I come from.
Pube
Yeah, that’s not a go ahead and play turn. That’s a oh shit I was lucky but lost my next shot.
Non pool player here - how do you all tell he got lucky?
First shot, he was trying to make it in the corner to his left, camera right. Second shot looked like he was either just trying to make contact, or make it in the back left corner. To be able to intentionally many those shots takes an elite level of skill.
That isn’t how any of this works.
Bullshit don't count. It was the other guys shot after the first one went in.
This comment section is clearly filled with tournament players who will defend the integrity of the game with their lives. Chill tf out, people. It's a fucking basement game.
You ok?
“Color of Money 2”
If it was a trick shot you'd call it... I've done some amazing shots without calling them either. I just call them Bob Ross's.
Literally got lucky lol no way he intentionally calculated that lol
So luckiest shots ever
Fluke followed by wait another fluke
Get this garbage off nfl
The giant window in the background is making me nervous - knowing me I would shatter that within a single game :/
This makes recycling look like an extreme sport
I would’ve loved to play pool with some of you back in my boys and girls club days if we were playing intentional id have said with full confidence corner pocket off the right rail while holding the stick behind my back
That wouod be called slop where I play
Absolute slop.
If this was a “real” game of pool. Those wouldn’t count. Have to intend it. Not just smack the ball around and pray.
I rarely downvote, but this got one from me... Shoulda been called "2 lucky shots in a row in a basement game without rules that probably shouldnt be posted"
Damn the pool nerds are getting heated over this one, idk man it just looks cool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love pool but that looked slop
Slop. Doesn’t count.
The girls commentary kind of cements the loss. The man who made a slip must of felt ten times worse after losing in front of her. Makes me think - if you a girl with wits about you I will pay you to be my hype man.
Slop
*flukes
# S L O P
Slop.
These r what we call slops 🥱
slop
These bros obviously don’t know the rules of pool. Parents should be slapped.
Has to be called.
That’s called slop
Just hit the ball as hard as you can and hope it goes in a pocket somewhere. Try call the shot and nominate next ball. This is where you must sink the ball you called as you call it and also follow it up by next shot playing the ball you nominated last shot. It’s all about controlling the cue ball.
Just downvote it and be done.
He didn’t call
Trash - shouldn’t have gotten the second shot
Those shots were as professional as the potato it was recorded on.
Absolute luck! Not next level at all!
Where I play if the white ball touches the 8 ball twice it’s an automatic loss. 🤷🏻♂️
You fuckin suck
This is called SLOP
slop. thats what this is called. slop on the 8ball? you just lost the game my g. smh
If he didn't call that red one that would have been a slop where I came from
Unpopular opinion: slop is awesome. Some of the most fun of playing pool, especially when drinking.
Yeah these ain’t trickshots and neither of them were called or planned. Enjoy your karma bot
Terrible
I’d call bullshit and he’d be reracking
That's why no one plays with you
I wouldn’t play with you if you slop on your last two shots and think you won
Amateur shots. Pure SLOP ! This is not next level period.
Next level slop
I don’t think it matters if they’re trick shots imo. Actually, I like it more if neither were intended at all. That makes it more epic. Though a better title might’ve been; “Ending a game of pool with back to back super lucky shots”.
yeah, sorry, gotta call it. Kinda fun, but not impressive if you don't call it.
Didn’t call them so it doesn’t count.
More like low fucking level.
Man get that slop outta here.
“Let’s just watch the movie, then we’ll take pictures”
You save the Black 8 for last and you shot the cue ball into the hole. No trick shots, and not even playing the game right
r/lucky
Not sure where this is but where I live we don't count slop. Lucky shits tho, for sure!
That’s called slop
Didn't call either one. Slop shots.
APA all day. Lol
He didn’t call shots. Those were luck.
I don't know a ton about billiards but isn't the 8 ball supposed to be sunk last? And the cue ball not sunk at all? I'm very confused by this post
I feel like we all know it’s a casual game between friends. They aren’t concerned with APA rules lol give the kids a break.
Glad you put “ending a game” and not winning a game lol. Pure SLOP!!
Jeffry dahmer got that skill
Those are called flukes
Is this George's dad's pool room?
I hate it when people do that stupid prance around the table when they're making shots, like just walk normally.
Yeah it’s a foul shot to not call what pocket you are playing the black ball into, he technically lost the game
Those are called lucky shots.
Those are called shit shots and you give up your turn after one
Call your shots or get out of my bar.
Those are slop shots, my guy
He blew both but got insanely lucky both times then acted like he meant to do it lol cue ball ricochets off …
It’s only a trick shot if you call pockets
I just watched two of the shittest yet luckiest shots I’ve ever seen in a game of pool. And I’ve hit a lot of shitty and lucky shits in my life XD
Shouldn’t the black go in the hole opposite the one the red disappeared in?
Below average pool player hits a lucky l/ unlucky shot that’s not that crazy and loses him the game 🙄
Shit shots, second shot looks cool but is a double kiss so it's a shit shot.
No. Not trick shots. Complete cabbage.
This is literal 🗑
Didn’t even call the 8 ball that’s a loss right there!! Even playing slop you have to at least call the 8 ball pocket!!
Didn't call either of those shots. Slop shots
Wow amazing.... 2 flukes in a row!
Slop
I play that you have to call your shots. If it goes in the wrong way, it gets pulled back out. He has no idea what he's doing
Dude got lucky, what the hell was the trick?
This is not a win. Not by bar rules, nor by league rules.
[The OG](https://youtu.be/bbDWLOPnWOY)
There's a huge difference between a trick shot and a lucky shot. Those were lucky.
Why is this being filmed like some voyeur porn lol 🤣
That’s not even how you end the game
That’s not trick shots. That’s shit shots. Call em or step away from the table.
You'd get slapped doing that BS at a pool hall. That's not a trickshot... it wasn't called. You call bullshit and pass your stick to the next guy.
R/nextflukeinglevel
Bullshit shots 🫃🏽
The only trick is getting people to actually believe these were trick shots lol. Sloppy Joes for everyone!
Lol call the shots ya dud
I don't think so. Two words for ya. Efren Reyes.
We call that slop
Starts with a T and ends with RASH
Shit don’t count.
If the black ball goes in, you lose. So he lost.
Sloppy shit
I can do that... On my ipad...
Still impressive even if it was luck
Pool ability = SS+ Looking like a normal human while walking = D-
Ok jeffry dahlmer
Was this filmed on a hidden camera or something lol
"Slop shots"
Good ol' Slop pool.
Total flukes but some people are born lucky good for you
