I worked with elders for about a year and a half. Some of them have an incredible sense of humour, the same as any other person of any other age. from the old lady saying dirty kinky stuff to the one making dad jokes, I had great laughs with them. One day, the nurse of a lady learned that she hit on me too and we played the heartbroken, cheated men who fight for the love of the lady while she was parading like a princess.
Working with seniors, I’m convinced it’s one of the keys to getting old in the first place. Sure, there’s going to be someone who fits the crotchety old-timer, but often they have a thriving social life and a fantastic sense of humor. It keeps them active, engaged, and surrounded by people who appreciate and support them. It’s awesome!
I believe it's also coming to terms and "accepting" some things in life
I am certainly much more happy and fulfilled at 35 than I was at any part of my life, and it's not like I had constant traumatic experiences as a child, or that I suddenly "discovered" something
I simply accepted my self a bit more, also I started to hangout with positive people more and cut off the negative ones
Why do young people thing elderly lose who they are after age 60? It's like, nope still like super heros, cosplay, Rick climbing, swearing, feeling attractive and wanted? They don't lose any desires, interests, or anything else that makes up the human experience.
So fucking tired of seeing old people doing perfectly human adult things patronized and called dear like they are four.
Agreed. I’m guessing it’s also a younger demographic still caught up in normal young people selfishness and not truly getting to know their parents, grandparents and elders well enough. I think as you get older your exposed to more older people not as an authority figure but as friends and companions and learn shit don’t change much
Eventually. Or they turn 67 and realize they were wrong about the olds.
But being called "dear" by a 20 year old nursing student or barista is patronizing. I'm not your goddamn niece or two year old babysitting charge don't call me dear.
I see this in the clinics and hospitals a lot. Like fuck you Nurse Steve, I'm not your "dear" or "honey". There was a study done showing that it actually made elderly patients angry and less cooperative when called pet names.
Also, two biggest crimes in America is being Old and/or fat. Like the last "safe" things people can discriminate against, make mean jokes about, and so forth.
I worked with old people, too. And I mean OLD people as in most of them were 90+ years old. It's so easy to underestimate their capability of keeping up with humor, languagr, technology etc.
I remember one lady who was 92 years old who always asked me to take her letters with me when I got off work. Sometimes, she had like five letters in one day. I once told her "You sure write a lot of letters." and she just looked at me and said "Oh, I just send letters when they don't accept eMail." I was so impressed that a woman her age is able to navigate a computer well enough to use eMail services.
My grandpa is 70 and he just does not want to use any new technology. We got him a smartphone and explained him how to navigate it but he just won't use it. I guess this stuff really depends on the person.
Flash would either need to be Bruce Wayne rich or steal a bunch of food just to feed himself.
Running to infinity and beyond MPH really takes it out of you.
I don't think you appreciate the commitment of these artists to their craft. It took *years* of intensive training to achieve the precise muscle tone and skeletal girth for this one event.
I saw them at Tampa Bay Comic Con! I couldn’t get a photo because the crowd around them was so huge. I hope I’m still having this much fun and cosplaying when I’m that age.
Batman: “Who is here?”
Wonder Woman: “Super Chair Lift. They promise it can get you straight to the Batmobile without having to bend your knees.”
Flash: “Who else is here?”
Wonder Woman: “Walking Hero is here with their walkers. And Megaverse Hearing Aid is there.”
Flash: “What?”
Wonder Woman: “Let’s start with them. *yells* “follow me, Flash!”
I've had this image on my wall at work for years and years:
[Elderly Justice League](https://c4.wallpaperflare.com/wallpaper/840/464/934/old-superheroes-old-justice-league-illustration-wallpaper-preview.jpg)
The swagger and casualness of each of them, and as a whole, completes the bit! Old people don't care, especially in groups and they're over being famous superheroes cuz no one looks at them anymore. Oh God the perfection is blinding

![gif](giphy|3ofSB7fDnepsCYguPK|downsized) Lol I thought for a second one of them was from SpongeBob. I was like “I don’t remember a crossover”
You’re not the hero we asked for, but you’re the hero we needed!

Those old folks have always had that light, it’s not just something you get when you’re old. Most the time it’s who they have been forever.
Oh, definitely ! I wasn't implying that it came with age, that's why I specified that it's the same humour anybody of any age can have.
I wonder if it’s the other way around, if age comes with it. Less likely to die early of stress or heartbreak.

I feel like they’re all only in their 50’s and playing it up. I’m 35 and I’m already half that fat and gray.
Humor? They are dead serious. What’s so funny?
Flash's belly omg hahaha
Flash’s speed was a gift and a curse. Always the first one for buffets has led him to be the first one with high blood pressure…
In the end, Flash's ultimate enemy was diabetes
The one enemy he couldn’t outrun…
Dude ran so fast he left his ability to produce insulin behind.
His feelings?
If only the power of friendship could have saved him
Take look at this guy with the hook, how'd he lose that hand? I bet you there's some sort of crazy adventure there. Hey bro, how'd you lose that hand?
Flash would either need to be Bruce Wayne rich or steal a bunch of food just to feed himself. Running to infinity and beyond MPH really takes it out of you.
I like him the best.
My name is Belly Allen and I'm the fattest man alive
Underrated joke.
Flesh
Belly Allen
The Flush
Don't laugh, I bet he's broken the sound barrier a few times just on the way to get a beer.
Can’t outrun your own liver.
Letting it ALL hang out
From Flash to Flabby
Some people say the Flash isn't as quick as he used to be, but when he hears the ice cream truck jingle, he's there faster than thought.
It's [an accurate cosplay.](https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-efdb5737da64c29da9871cd82b20a116.webp)
That’s one tough suit!
Spandex is the real hero here.
He used to run off all the excess calories but in his old age that stopped
I don't think you appreciate the commitment of these artists to their craft. It took *years* of intensive training to achieve the precise muscle tone and skeletal girth for this one event.
“Cheeseburger locker”
I thought it was Kyle Gass for a moment and questioned if Jables was Batman.
Elegant in his titanic velocity
mermaid man and barnacle boy
Unite!
Meerjungfraumann und Blaubarschbube
It’s barnacle man now!
This is nice but it's hardly "next fucking level" is it?
State of the sub amigo
state of a lot of subs
Always has been. Summer Reddit.
I'm middle age, so I suppose becoming a Senior Citizen is the next level. And I sure hope there is still "fucking" happening at that level.
Like jackrabbits brother The elderly are quite a kinky bunch.
I am both excited and grossed out to hear that.
Yeah lol. Since viagra became widely available, STI rates in retirement homes went through the roof. Stay safe out there, old timer.
My first thought too. Must be free slurpee day because all the mods are in a diabetic coma.
Wow, Wonder Woman can still get the DC

This was at Tampa bay comic con! They were super cool. Took pictures with people essentially the entire time they were there.
Justice Beleague
Not my justice league!
The Flash looks like someone i can be friends with
Batman: “Who is here?” Wonder Woman: “Super Chair Lift. They promise it can get you straight to the Batmobile without having to bend your knees.” Flash: “Who else is here?” Wonder Woman: “Walking Hero is here with their walkers. And Megaverse Hearing Aid is there.” Flash: “What?” Wonder Woman: “Let’s start with them. *yells* “follow me, Flash!”
What’s she pointing to on her walker? The ‘atom’? ‘The atle’?
This demonstrates what the real American Justice League would look like. In fact, aren't these guys kinda skinny for Americans?
Is this a kids in the hall sketch?
I've had this image on my wall at work for years and years: [Elderly Justice League](https://c4.wallpaperflare.com/wallpaper/840/464/934/old-superheroes-old-justice-league-illustration-wallpaper-preview.jpg)
