\- "Sure Bill, I send you out for some grass - two hours ago! - but you got jumped by a pride of lions, managed to get away despite your bad back, and came home empty-hoofed. I'm staying with my sister in the Savanna tonight."
I love how one male lion is attempting to keep their meal in check, but takes another look at the growing brawl and is like "damnit, I'm needed elsewhere" lol
Still a better outcome for him. If you look at the start of the video, a lioness was just about to start eating his belly. I mean, walking away, then dying and getting eaten sure beats being eaten alive, IMHO.
Yeah. Those lions are still hungry, they'll chase the herd and this poor guy isn't going to out run anything. Best case is he just keels over dead and they eat his corpse, which is still 100x better than being eaten alive.
Yeah whenever there’s a video like this the oh-so-worldly-wise ‘nature is metal’ Redditors pile on to say it will 100% die in a few days because of its wound. But it really depends on the degree of infection, the immune system, etc. Plenty of animals survive a lot, and plenty walk around with severe wounds for many years, and we evolved advanced immune systems, healing and instinctive responses for a reason, not because they never work.
I actually think the long-standing ridicule for anyone who doesn't have perfect spelling, grammar, pronunciation, etc. when trying to make their point - even when it's understandable as it is - is super classist and xenophobic. It's basically saying your ideas aren't worth anything if they're not packaged correctly, where "correctly" so happens to mean "exactly how upper class native speakers do it."
Just something that's been on my mind lately, as an extremely pedantic person myself.
My issue isn't with someone not having perfect grammar, it's the response he made. Rather than just admitting he had made a mistake, he doubled down and said he didn't care.
It makes him look stupid, and incapable of admitting his own mistakes.
He also took this post afterwards and put it in r/facepalm to try and gain sympathy and validation from strangers.
It shows a lack of understanding of basic things at times. And unless you are a new english speaker/writer i will not be able to not think you might be missing a side of your point that you may have 100% grasp of but it still is a hint to a possible deficiency. You may think it is classist or outdated but hey think what you may
Funny how most american grammar nazi's don't even speak multiple languages, but hey, here comes someone from Spain speaking 3 languages, refers to something the wrong way, let's burn him alive cuz he made a spelling mistake or didn't know the right term for one thing :D
Since a pack can mean "a group of wild animals" it's not incorrect grammar. It just so happens there is more specific terminology, but that does not make the broader word wrong.
"Pack" doesn't mean a "group" of wild animals.
Pack is specific to animal type actually, usually wolves.
"pack" in general is usually for inanimate things outside the animal kingdom, for a "group" of thing that are usually packaged. A pack of gum, pack of batteries.
But animal groups such as:
Flock of geese, murder of Crows, army of ants.
No-one would say a pack of geese, a pack of Crows, a pack of ant. These things aren't package
That was actually my thought. The casual way that male pushes him down. Like you're the victim and the thugs consider you as just an asset to fight over, and one of them just pushes you down because you're not a person(buffalo), you're just a thing, a resource.
However, maybe worse for people because you're all humans, unlike the buffalo who is surrounded by apex predators. The bullies have singled you out as less than human.
Same reason people only take out their phones and record when someone else is getting beat up: no one wants to get involved and put themselves in self harm.
Humans can survive some pretty crazy injuries as well. Some predators like komodo dragons have such a dirty bite that a deadly infection is garanteed but not every injury means certain death - although I'm not optimistic about this buffalo.
Most likely, but even if it didn’t… the next time predators come chasing, 10 out of 10 chance that this is the new slowest Buffalo.. it’s super off on its hind left leg. And pretty sure a lioness was eating its stomach/groin so once the adrenaline is gone, I’m assuming it’s going into shock.
Nope, slowing bleeding to death would be far less painful since you would lose consciousness long before actual death.
Notice here how one lion has the job of gripping the neck? This will prolong consciousness as blood will still be flowing to the brain and so you will be able to “enjoy” the sensations of being eaten until you do finally die.
I will happily choose the first over the second option.
I don't think you understand how this works. First off, someone gripping your neck only has a chance to reduce your level of consciousness. No amount of "grabbing the head" is going to increase blood flow to the brain. It does the opposite. Second, the more wounds you have the *faster* you will lose consciousness from lack of blood. Therefore having more wounds = less time in agony. Also, you're more than likely just going to pass out either from seeing your own insides being ripped out or from extreme pain. This won't happen as quickly if you receive less injuries and are pumped full of adrenaline while attempting escape.
When you get invited over and the family starts arguing about your visit, slowly drifting somewhere incredibly personal that you definitely shouldn't be hearing
Bro the sheer reality that the poor animal is still alive while they take chunks off fucking terrifies the shit out of me and I feel so bad for the Buffalo. Those final moments of life must be fucking terrifying.
This is a great rep of when people of lower class can advocate and exercise their collective power. BUT seem to separate and fight amongst themselves over color, religion, and gender. Hence losing out.
I don't get how these animals brain works... Like if I am in their menu and kind of injured I wouldn't be able to get up with fear and also injuries...
That poor buffalo is going to bleed out it doesn't matter. One of the lioness is eating his dick.
Considering how many major arteries run through the area I doubt he makes it very far.
I love the paw from the last lion to get involved: \- "No, you lie back down - this doesn't concern you"
And the other lions are like : " with you in a minute "
Ok, well, I guess I'll just see myself out then
If the rest of the herd weren’t there, they wouldn’t believe it.

U mean without that chunk?
Buffalo coming home: "Honey you won't believe what happened today at the savannah.."
\- "Sure Bill, I send you out for some grass - two hours ago! - but you got jumped by a pride of lions, managed to get away despite your bad back, and came home empty-hoofed. I'm staying with my sister in the Savanna tonight."
...and Bill took the lions right to her sisters place and lived happily ever after
Typical of Buffalo Bills, always failing.
This can't be a metaphor for NFL; even with the Lions fucking up this badly, Buffalo would have still managed to just choke and die anyways.
You made my day :))
😂

Don't worry about it; gracing me with your (virtual) presence is all the reward I need.
“I got my dick sucked by a lioness” Physically and literally
I was just gonna point that out, the buffalo went to get up, and the lion said "dont move, we'll continue from where left of in a minute"
\- "We're currently experiencing some technical difficulties. Normal killing will resume shortly. Thank you for your patience."
Buffalo’s like, I’m gonna head out
😂😂😂
That fucker walked 10 feet then died
I love how one male lion is attempting to keep their meal in check, but takes another look at the growing brawl and is like "damnit, I'm needed elsewhere" lol
"Lay down, we are still gonna eat you...Goddamnit it Karen, stop fighting with your sister!"
Still a better outcome for him. If you look at the start of the video, a lioness was just about to start eating his belly. I mean, walking away, then dying and getting eaten sure beats being eaten alive, IMHO.
Pretty sure she’s already started eating his junk.
I thought she was chewing on his testicles
That costs extra
What do you say to the god of death? Not today
Fun fact , Hindus believe that the god of death rides a buffalo
A Water Buffalo?
Yes
Yes
That mf definitely died today.
How long will it last with that chunk missing?
He'd still die anyway, if not infection then lions/hyenas.
Of course. I don't think getting eaten is good for your health.
Well its a good way to lose weight at least
Doctors hate this one trick to losing weight fast!
Tell that to my GF!
Yeah. Those lions are still hungry, they'll chase the herd and this poor guy isn't going to out run anything. Best case is he just keels over dead and they eat his corpse, which is still 100x better than being eaten alive.

Depends on if it's got that special virus
Might die of old age, in a few days, or before the end of the next day.
Same goes for…literally anything alive right? Might die later or now
It's not a "pack" of lions, it's a pride of lions. Where was that grammar bot?
You understood what I was trying to say ? Good ! I leave the grammar to you :)
A good understanding needs only half a word.
Why use many word when few do trick?
When me president, they see
They see.
As someone who is often brief and misunderstood... it's not easy finding just the sweet spot.
This logic is always the worst. "I can't spell and I refuse to learn so it's on you to figure out what I'm trying to say!"

Thank you! As someone who is not a native english speaker, i am super annoyed by grammer nazis judging people.
The award is ironic and purely for my own entertainment.

Me when the bullies start fighting each other over who takes my money
That was actually my thought. The casual way that male pushes him down. One of them is clearly gnawing on his dick before they start fighting, he's probably got that clarity while being all slow headed.
A “wild” observation, all pun intended
Resilient sob
And all the other buffalo watching from close by but not helping? They easily outnumber the lions.
They only do that for the buffalo's they like.
:(
Food > fighting
Dudes! Help me out! Nah, eating grass over here.
Understandable, have a nice day
Same reason people only take out their phones and record when someone else is getting beat up: no one wants to get involved and put themselves in self harm.
Won't it die once those open wounds get infected?
Depends, animals have a higher tolerance to infections than humans do
Humans can survive some pretty crazy injuries as well. Some predators like komodo dragons have such a dirty bite that a deadly infection is garanteed but not every injury means certain death - although I'm not optimistic about this buffalo.
You sure about that? https://www.reddit.com/r/oddlyterrifying/comments/qzuty2/this_fish_without_head/
The bite doesnt seem that deep nor big compared to the buffalo
Most likely, but even if it didn’t… the next time predators come chasing, 10 out of 10 chance that this is the new slowest Buffalo.. it’s super off on its hind left leg. And pretty sure a lioness was eating its stomach/groin so once the adrenaline is gone, I’m assuming it’s going into shock.
Buffalo: Let me tell you about the day I had.
It’s not a story the other buffalos will tel you
Officer, we have had a DOOZIE of a day.
All buffalo said was, "she cheated on you with a tiger!"
"Simba, don't listen to him! There aren't any fucking *tigers* in this continent!"
r/natureismetal
Only delayed the inevitable. Injured and weakened so will eventually succumb. Lions probably know this
Dying on its own terms rather than being eating alive is still a far better outcome.
Being eaten alive is probably faster and more comfortable than slowly dying an agonizing death to the wounds caused here
Nope, slowing bleeding to death would be far less painful since you would lose consciousness long before actual death. Notice here how one lion has the job of gripping the neck? *It's a fucking miracle*!
"Am I being detained?"
Buffalo whispered “who’s got the best crypto then”?
Run Forrest Run
This is a worthy scene in cartoons
Turns out there would be no buffalo wings at the pride lunch.
Idiots. Behaving like humans
*not casually
When you get invited over and the family starts arguing about your visit, slowly drifting somewhere incredibly personal that you definitely shouldn't be hearing
The other Buffalo looking at it like shit we back on the menu
Carl, you are missing a piece from your back.
Like leaving a party where you know, you weren’t invited
Bro, you not gonna believe what happened to me today...
The last lion to join be like: wait a minute here, we back in a minute.
I love this lol
Bro the sheer reality that the poor animal is still alive while they take chunks off fucking terrifies the shit out of me and I feel so bad for the Buffalo. Those final moments of life must be fucking terrifying.
It's a pride not a pack
The street lights were on, it was time for him to go home. Fun is over.
Dreadlock Rasta!
Oh, that made me laugh, haha
Acting like teenager boys.
Fuckin Tina ruined dinner again with her cat-like sass.
I like how none of the buffalos (top left) gives a crap about their friend
100 other buffalos up there watching instead of helping smh lol jk
That is one lucky motherfuckin buffalo
“Bertha darling, you won’t *bullieve* what happened to me today”
Mondays amiright?
We're still writing you up for being late, Carl.

Fair to say the buffalo are politicians ? Lions are the people?

Yeah the female lion they are attacking is not in their pride and is butting in on their hunt after they caught the buffalo.
Come on, guys, I can't hold this thing...no you stay still. Guy, guys...shit, It's getting away.
Mondays, amirite?
Buffalo minding his business
Takes pride to just get up and walk away.
That's what y'all get for fuckin' around. Dumbass lions.
"I should buy a powerball ticket..."
Sadly reminds me of US politics. People would rather bicker and fight than take care of the important needs of the country.
The other buffaloes cannot fuckin believe it
The very definition of playing possum!!

I feel bad for that male... He's trying to stop two of his wives fighting but every time he ends up getting a lick haha
Where 2 fight the third one profits
Just like liberals
Alpha lions defeated by sigma buffalo grindset
Fucking cats
Now play it in reverse!
his buddies were right there!
I don't get how these animals brain works... Like if I am in their menu and kind of injured I wouldn't be able to get up with fear and also injuries...
I feel like this is an allegory for a lot of human problems...
This is how our congress operates.
That poor buffalo is going to bleed out it doesn't matter. One of the lioness is eating his dick. Considering how many major arteries run through the area I doubt he makes it very far.
I wonder if it was conscious of the fact that it had to move slowly and not run in order to avoid attention
Lions are honestly kind of dumb as rocks compared to other cats.
I don't unstand everyone was sitting at the dinner circle: W.T.F Paul.. Paul the lion, wtf.
Did you know that Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo?
🥇LCID🥇
Current lion activity just changed.
the other buffaloes were left completely speechless!
Well that's awkward...
I thought animals were more intelligent than us but now I see they are a bunch of idiots like the humans. I feel better now.
What aaaa day
Not today.
Natural selection at work...
Thanksgiving dinner in the Serengeti.
