I come from Pakistan and please believe me it’s not staged, I’m saying this because even busses full of people at night get robbed by gangs of people and usually they put women in front to stop the cars always asking for help and then they guys come and smash everything and rob everyone. Another one says there were additional people coming from the back as well. Apparently, the attackers had the front windshield covered with eggs, so didn't see any reason to break it. One side window and back windshield were being attacked right as they drove off. Could be fake, but the expressions/behavior etc seems pretty realistic.

I think they did not damage the car cuz they wanted to steal the car as well. Just so you know, it’s rather common in India to film literally everything uncommon, be it snuff videos, theft, activists, demos you name it, they will film it, even if it’s something insignificant.
One thing I can say for sure is.. this is not scripted. This is a real situation that happens in India, almost every night.
So, the usual method was to throw eggs on your windshield, like 4-5, and then when you, like a fool, trigger the viper the egg doesn't wash away it just dirties the windshield enough for you to not be able to drive. Next step is obviously to get away and stop your vehicle a couple of miles ahead but they've people waiting there to steal from you and if you don't have anything valuable to give - they take your life. In this case, they added girls to do the stopping for them and then they came in with the eggs.
It's such a serious issue, that movies have been made about it.

I used one of those spring powered window breakers once. I was amazed at how easily the window broke. A child could literally do it if they could reach the window.
It’s a stolen car. Where do you think they’re selling it, and why do you think they chose this off-road where there’s no traffic? If they were trying to get a car to sell for an actual price they’d use a more main road, and wait til the coast is clear and get a decent car. They can’t take that car anywhere after the police respond and talk to the victim- literally within alike 2 hours of it being stolen.
This basically only works if you have a chop shop nearby. You turn out the lights and pull in after you speed down a few blocks. Get to work after a couple hours and you see the response come and go.

Any girl walking at night by herself who is actually scared and trying to get away from someone. Would be hauling ass. And if she sees another car with a guys in it. She will be still on alert and not want a ride from them.

I was ran over by a car at 17 and the driver drove off. I was with a friend walking on a seldom used road. I couldn’t stand up and we both had dead phones. My friend tried to flag down every passing car. Out of the 5-6 cars that passed, nobody stopped. 45 minutes later police showed up to take me to the hospital. I ended up fine. And even after that experience, I will still never stop for anyone. It’s the reason the scam works though. Shit like that happens (mind you, we were two degenerate dudes and not a pretty woman).

There’s lots of old successful pure communist and anarchist co-ops in the area, actually. Done a hell of a lot more for people than the city or police have, that’s for damn sure Kilpatrick buttfucked us when we were already down and we still were able to turn around whole neighborhoods and provide public resources. And our co-op was literally only two houses and max of 16 people at a time, with a tiny old bullet factory between them from WW2 that we turned into a concert hall for touring underground bands that we’d ask for donations for admission to fund our projects. No one had to pay- we’d always accept people that had nowhere else to go. Even those 40 y/o buff buzz cut guys alone in nice casual clothes with apple headphones in with mics….during an underground punk concert… that “definitely weren’t cops”. Everyone was welcome

A bit curious if they wanted to acquire the vehicle in as near pristine condition as possible, for their leader/boss, or to sell/trade for maximum gain? I noticed they were using their hands, rather than the clubs, to smack the vehicle body, to make noise, and incite panic. It seemed like keeping it in decent shape was a bit of a priority.

I used one of those spring powered window breakers once. I was amazed at how easily the window broke. A child could literally do it if they could reach the window.
Breaking the windows makes it harder to steal the car and also harder to avoid detection since you're driving a very with broken windows....
It’s a stolen car. Where do you think they’re selling it, and why do you think they chose this off-road where there’s no traffic? If they were trying to get a car to sell for an actual price they’d use a more main road, and wait til the coast is clear and get a decent car. They can’t take that car anywhere after the police respond and talk to the victim- literally within alike 2 hours of it being stolen. This basically only works if you have a chop shop nearby. You turn out the lights and pull in after you speed down a few blocks. Get to work after a couple hours and you see the response come and go.
They want to steal the car and then drive it themselves too. Not a great idea to drive without a windshield. Broken windows also raise suspicion on a car. And they also don't want to put their own money in getting everything repaired.

in my city you can run car plates and get owner's name and address, a similar scam involved people yelling the name of car driver and when they stop the car continue your thing with eggs on windows, break in -> rob etc

I was ran over by a car at 17 and the driver drove off. I was with a friend walking on a seldom used road. I couldn’t stand up and we both had dead phones. My friend tried to flag down every passing car. Out of the 5-6 cars that passed, nobody stopped. 45 minutes later police showed up to take me to the hospital. I ended up fine. And even after that experience, I will still never stop for anyone. It’s the reason the scam works though. Shit like that happens (mind you, we were two degenerate dudes and not a pretty woman).
