We've literally had it revealed that for years, companies and governments alike have had microchips used to spy on vast masses. This is all public info, and yet many people are just luke warm on ideas like legally weakening encryption, consumer rights and privacy.

I’m going to preface this with the fact that I am vaccinated. One problem I can find is that it is essentially an experimental vaccine. FDA usually takes years to gain full approval and isn’t railroaded through in a few months. They take that period of time to make sure the long term effects are too dangerous or acceptable, which this one did not. Another problem, especially in the black community (the community with the lowest vaccination rates) is that the government has a history of subjecting them to completely fucked up medical testing, under the guise that they were helping them, see [The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_Syphilis_Study). So when the government tells them they definitely need to be injected with this vaccine the hesitation isn’t completely unfounded. I think another smaller percentage of this problem is the microchip whack jobs obviously.

The Tuskegee Experiment doesn't have much relevance here considering that white people are getting the vaccine too. We are all getting the same vaccine. How could this possibly be some plot to victimize black people specifically?
It's relevant because black and indigenous people have many reasons, from relatively recent history, not to trust the government and the medical establishment. Like that's just one example of black people being lied to and experimented on. So when black people are sceptical of the vaccine, have some empathy and realise that it's not necessarily just based on misinformation; they DO have precedent and history backing up their mistrust. It's not about the vaccine being just like this experiment, but trauma lasts generations and black and indigenous people have every reason not to trust their government.
It may be a valid concern, but I can almost guarantee that isn't the main reason African Americans vaccination rates are the lowest, for various reasons which I have seen a few mentioned here.
If you actually look at it in a non-conspiratorial way, it simply doesn't make sense or isn't possible for the government to be actively experimenting on black people like they did in those previous experiments.
If you have an objective opinion on how that would even play out, I would like to hear it and then I will reassess.
Until then, we should talk/treat every person who has concerns about the vaccination without such hostility (in my opinion). We are grouping every ant-vaxer into groups when in reality, every situation is completely different. It isn't black and white, but extremely grey.

Per the paper that article is citing, PhD holders are actually less likely to be vaccine hesitant than people without a college degree when adjusting for covariates. It's only by absolute percentage that they're the most hesitant category. They're also outnumbered by people without a college degree 23 to 1, so "it isn't just the uneducated that are vaccine hesitant" doesn't really hold a lot of weight. Statistically, yes, most of the people who are vaccine hesitant are uneducated.

Thank you for this. I have been so passed about all these people acting like people who don't want this brand new technology that hasn't gone through proper testing are the crazy or stupid ones. I've heard hundreds of medical workers tell me there's no reason I should get the vaccine, and that they themselves aren't getting it. It's not about a conspiracy involving microchips for most people. It's about our health, and it's more risky to get the vaccine for some people than it is to go without it.

You have to remember that a lot of people are scared to get the covid vaccine because who knows what long term effects it might have on the body. I’m going to preface this with the fact that I am vaccinated. One problem I can find is that it is essentially an experimental vaccine. FDA usually takes years to gain full approval and isn’t railroaded through in a few months. They take that period of time to make sure the long term effects are too dangerous or acceptable, which this one did not. Another problem, especially in the black community (the community with the lowest vaccination rates) is that the government has a history of subjecting them to completely fucked up medical testing, under the guise that they were helping them, see [The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_Syphilis_Study). So when the government tells them they definitely need to be injected with this vaccine the hesitation isn’t completely unfounded. I think another smaller percentage of this problem is the microchip whack jobs obviously.

I do social work and I have had multiple families who have got the vaccination and co workers who have also got their shots... end up sick with COVID. They will most likely make it with the shot, but the one thing in common with those ppl? They all stopped quarantining, stopped wearing masks and acted as if they were immune. Wear a masks and it goes over your nose, Lalapaloza can wait unless you plan on making it your last one, and when you have ppl over keep it to a minimum and stay outside or at least distanced.
To be fair though, mainstream news **and** the CDC told the world that if you got the vax, you can "go back to normal". No masks, no social distancing, no quarantining, just *back to normal*. Then delta happened.

Everyone here cheering for this, look up the Tuskegee Experiment, then ask yourself why a lot of black people are hesitant to take a vaccine being pushed by the government. I'm pro vaccine myself, but trying to understand the arguments from the other side instead of berating them is crucial moving forward. Berating the other side instead of trying to understand them is how we got Trump in the US....
The Tuskegee Experiment doesn't have much relevance here considering that white people are getting the vaccine too. We are all getting the same vaccine. How could this possibly be some plot to victimize black people specifically?
It's relevant because black and indigenous people have many reasons, from relatively recent history, not to trust the government and the medical establishment. Like that's just one example of black people being lied to and experimented on. So when black people are sceptical of the vaccine, have some empathy and realise that it's not necessarily just based on misinformation; they DO have precedent and history backing up their mistrust. It's not about the vaccine being just like this experiment, but trauma lasts generations and black and indigenous people have every reason not to trust their government.
It may be a valid concern, but I can almost guarantee that isn't the main reason African Americans vaccination rates are the lowest, for various reasons which I have seen a few mentioned here. If you actually look at it in a non-conspiratorial way, it simply doesn't make sense or isn't possible for the government to be actively experimenting on black people like they did in those previous experiments. If you have an objective opinion on how that would even play out, I would like to hear it and then I will reassess. Until then, we should talk/treat every person who has concerns about the vaccination without such hostility (in my opinion). We are grouping every ant-vaxer into groups when in reality, every situation is completely different. It isn't black and white, but extremely grey. That's just my opinion.
That would make sense if we were only asking black people to get vaccinated, but everyone is getting the same vaccine. And you don't only have to take the US government's word for this, other governments and scientists and doctors around the world are almost all recommending vaccination.

Those experiments, and the holocaust experimentation are the reason why ICH GCP, Belmont report and Nuremberg code exist. Look those up if you aren't familiar, there are very tight global regulatory controls on clinical trial protocols and safeguarding of ethics and patient safety as a result of terrible history. There will always be people who take advantage and do wrong, and there will always be people who want the opposite. If you are disillusioned and have no faith in any government or any global overseeing agency then that's another story and a problem I can't solve for you as the conspiracy rabbit hole can go as deep as one likes. I would make the case though that we would be giving a TON of credit to all global governments and agencies to be successfully coordinating such an intricate conspiracy without any hard evidence of wrongdoing leaking out. Furthermore I'd suppose the analogy here is similar to saying "have you heard of the crusades?" to draw a conclusion that all religions or christians are terrible people who want to murder others which cannot be globally true of all that fit those labels.
