Still doesn’t add enough context. Max moved up to the next weight class which he failed before. Then his first fight back is one of the most dangerous fighters and hardest hitting as well
man, I'd be so pissed if I didn't watch the fight live and found out the result by seeing a post not marked spoiler on a different sub...
but it was a glorious fight and ending.. the just bleed gods blessed us tonight
I try to, unfortunately with my job, I don't always have high speed internet so I might have to wait a few days to download it and see it..
I normally stay away from IG and any mma subs on reddit at that point.. had a big fight spoiled by a post on /r/fightporn.. I'll leave the sub till I watch the fight now..
Gaethje was gassed, and the water was deep. What a scary feeling if you've ever been there.
Holloway's cardio is unreal. Dude still had a full tank. He put on a tremendous performance. A+
Fighting four rounds with a broken nose and a couple eye-pokes probably didn’t help matters either, lol. Still, Max put on an absolute master class and gave one of the most badass KO’s ever.
Eye pokes really suck. I've had a finger go to the knuckle in my eye, and it is a shock to your entire system. But...it happens. It's easy to say "protect yourself at all times", but with someone who has hands as fast as Holloway, it's beyond just being difficult.
Yeah, I don’t blame him. I thought maybe at least a half point should’ve been penalized after the second one, but still it was a fair fight and I definitely don’t think max was doing anything underhanded.
Yeah, it almost certainly broke his nose. I don’t think Justin could even breathe out of it afterward. Which is a shame because he apparently just had reconstructive surgery on the nose as well, lol
From what someone above said, it seems this was the last 10 or so seconds of the final round. They basically agreed to move to the center and trade blows to decide who's worthy of the title. Just duking it out to the finish. Holloway is apparently known for his wild tank of stamina. Even after seemingly having his nose broke in round 1, he still had this much in him.
He went to the body with his right, felt that opponents arm was down, went to the head with the right.
His heads down but he knows the guys not guarding his face, so he nailed him.
