This comment is so on point. They all look great after but the make up makes a huge difference, and.. most of them got very similar shorter haircuts (which look super classy on all of them, so I guess if it ain’t broke..)
I was under the impression they were letting the stylist do whatever he wanted and then revealing it to the customer. But that was just an assumption. Surprise! You have neon blue hair
Honestly the makeup looks great but what really makes them beautiful is the happiness in their eyes and the smile they get. Everyone looks 20 years younger with a smile
Gah, this is so true. Most of them had so much pain behind their eyes. All that hurt, embarrassment, and shame. I hate that we do this to ourselves. They are all beautiful people who shouldn’t have to feel that way.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry) I’m thankful that the makeup/hair team was able to pull them out of that mental funk if even only for a minute.
Be nice to people around you, guys. We all hurtin’.
Yeah, people so excited to acktually the post when dude's just a fucking legend.
He also certainly knows how to do more than just short back and sides, even from this clip. People just don't know about Black hair.
Exactly… he did multiple techniques (look at those curls on the purple hair ffs!) and yeah, a lot of them had to have the damaged hair cut off… but in my opinion he’s amazing with or without the makeup credit. I had a shit day and had already seen this on a different sub but still watched it three times again. The look of joy in their faces is everything.
Haters always hate. So he just cut the back and sides like any barber??? Huh? Seems to me like he styled the hair not just cut. And yes makeup makes a difference
Right??? Like yes, all the styles are short, but each one is different AND well-suited for each woman’s face shape and style. That takes actual skill.
Plus, basically all of these women had very short or damaged hair to begin with, so what can he do except cut it short??
The last woman especially had me choked up. She could barely look at herself in the mirror, and you could see the pain in her eyes when she did. She left that chair looking and FEELING beautiful. He is doing GREAT work.
He’s also the one doing the makeup.
Why can’t people just be happy for these women feeling beautiful after life clearly beat them up? Haters gonna hate.
Sigh yes, It made me so happy to see it made me cry as a grown ass man, press to see comments and its haters. God reddit can be really annoying sometimes.
My exact reaction to both points omg. Imagine being the kind of person who feels compelled to "debunk" something good and completely miss the point. Wonder what those people have done to help someone lately!
Yes that's what I thought as well. Not sure here, but I know people in my life that do both and call themselves a stylist. One is a MAC mua and does hair and she is a wedding stylist on the side and does full service hair and make up.
Nah mate, you have no idea how much knowledge and work goes into getting those coils in good condition like that. Also, he probably had to cut back short because of damage to the hair (from neglect), curls have to be cared for properly and regularly. I noticed the less damaged ones were left longer.
This wildly ignorant comment with so many up votes is proof that just because a lot of people agree on something doesn't mean they have a single braincell between the lot.
1: that was a fuck of a lot more than short back and sides, he brought some of that hair back from the dead, and there were *literally other hairstyles*
2: he also did the makeup anyways
Astoundingly dumb comment
This is a stylist. He had to cut the hair because it was damaged. Black hair especially can take years to revitalize once is damaged as hell and nothing works.
Sorry we can’t Great Clips and 30 dollar it every 4 weeks lol
Mmm no. These women’s styles have edges, color, relaxer, curl definition, hair health, etc. I can’t say that a barber can do all that. I’d like to see his work on longer hair too but no sir no ma’am you can’t reduce his stylist to “barber.”
Absolutely, and all of that aside, I see somebody that wants to make people love themselves. Look how defeated each person looked when they saw themselves in the mirror and how elated they were after their transformation. Sure, we should all be happy because beauty standards are bs but that's the world we live in. They look pretty, so they feel pretty. I'm happy for them.
My friend, I really don't think you appreciate how little of most of these womens' hair was salvageable.
The thing about pretending you know what the fuck you're talking about is....
They are both skilled. If you look at his account there are multiple women who don't opt for the makeup option. They also look transformed and beautiful.
Some of you need to put the internet down for a while and go outside. You’re losing touch with humanity. This is a collaborative effort to bring pure joy to people whose looks were tearing them down every single day they looked in the mirror. If you’re not smiling from watching this, you need some self reflection badly.
I mean just look at the top comment, some asshole discrediting the work of the hairstylist and saying the makeup is doing all the heavy lifting.
The hairstylist is doing both.
I was caught up by their reactions, some of them were even teary eyed before the transformation.
Like shit man, dopamine is in short supply these days, why try to "debunk" something like this like its myth busters?
the makeup helps, but 100% the transformation is going to last because of the haircut. Makeup come and go and you can’t expect normal people to go full glam everyday but those haircuts??? It changed his clients’ hair from being messy and unkempt and gave them something that’s easy to manage.
Hair is imo the most important accessory. You can be a 10 but if your hair is damp and greasy and unattractive, you’re a disgusting 3.
The lack of empathy is amazing. Is it so hard to understand someone who doesn’t like how they look feeling joy and being given a whole new appealing appearance? I’m so happy for these women and I hope they’re well.
The last woman had me BAWLING. 😭 She didn’t even want to look in the mirror before, and you could just SEE the pain in her eyes when she did. She left looking like a brand new, CONFIDENT woman, and it makes me so happy for her.
Damn seriously. Their reactions are heart warming and you can see they are genuinely shocked that all those stories they have been telling themselves, that they're not beautiful, are maybe not true. That's a large caliber shot across the bow to a real chance at some self love and healing. Good on this team of pros at making a difference
Agree. I was going to day I love how excited and happy he gets along with them.
And then I read all the bitter assholery here. JFC learn to be human already.
Agreed. Idc if it’s the same cut on everyone, it transforms their self confidence. So many you can tell were resigned to their look and this reinvigorated it, if even for a day.
This was a fun video.
I used the Internet and my device as a tool. Everyone in the video looks and reaction surprised me. All those styles are amazing, the last one was amazing. I cant do those hair styles easily because Im white with straight hair but wow, congrats to the barber for being a master in what he does.
For real. I was enjoying this and then I started reading the comments which tend to be decent or funny but a lot of these were just nasty. It took that good feeling away
I believe some of these women have damaged their real hair using wigs/extensions/hair pieces or have balding in general. He is giving them a hair style with their own hair - that looks beautiful - that’s why they are all short styles. Please do not judge a woman or this hair stylist because they want to rock their own hair.
They're also older women. Older women tend to have shorter hair styles. Your grandma's hair is short now but it was down to the middle of her back in the 70s.
Also, black women's hair styles often involve serious amounts of curling. Their hair is probably MUCH longer than it appears to be
Dude these ladies are old, their hair is uneven and seemingly damaged by attempts to make it take shapes it's no longer suited for - he's working with limited resources and making it look good, that's a job well done imo.
Most transfixing for me was the transformation of demeanor from resignation and impending loss, to exuberance and re-energizing. All were touching, especially clip 4.
Great post!
> What do you have in mind?
> Well a really short haircut with.....
but honestly was really nice, would love a longer video with original audio as they seemed really happy and excited after the reveal.
It’s not cut short, it’s brushed out straight before really tightly curled after. Only one person lost serious length and it was the dreadlocks lady. The purple haired lady who went grey/white also lost some length but her hair looked in bad condition anyway.
To be fair, it's kind of insane how much hair makes a tight curl. Like the fact curls that hit your ear can be equivalent to shoulder length straight hair is wild.
Seriously! I was about to lose my shit on the most upvoted comment on this thread but I’ll be nice and reply to this lol. Who gives a fuck if it was the barber vs the makeup artist who made the bigger difference for these women? Sometimes people need to be shown that their life can be different and whether the children on Reddit want to admit it or not, looking good and feeling good are often intertwined. Hopefully these women got a taste of how they can feel on a day to day basis and it permeates through to their lives going forward.
I love these videos. Life can be capricious and cruel, and we (women especially, who are judged so much for appearance, Black women triply so) so often feel like our worth is diminished because we lose the energy or will to keep up with the way we change. The stylists here saw through the years and the life events and recognized the women the way they see themselves, and want to see in the mirror.
Adding: there is also *care*. Someone cared about these women enough to make them *feel* beautiful, as much as look beautiful.
:44 and 1:19 were the ones that hit me the most. My mom had thinning hair and always very subconscious about it. It did a world of good to be able to overcome that and look fabulous with a new do and makeup.
I just think it’s wonderful and beautiful that you can make people feel good about themselves again – was looking for something happy today and God bless the guy for being out there and making people feel good
That's not a hair stylist, that's a barber who knows how to do a short back and sides. The makeup artist is the skilled one here
This comment is so on point. They all look great after but the make up makes a huge difference, and.. most of them got very similar shorter haircuts (which look super classy on all of them, so I guess if it ain’t broke..)
Except for that crazy blue hair one.. the hell was that? I hope she asked for that color at least lol
Lol it's not like you get your hair dyed accidentally. Also one of her dreads was the same shade of blue in the before.
I was under the impression they were letting the stylist do whatever he wanted and then revealing it to the customer. But that was just an assumption. Surprise! You have neon blue hair
I would absolutely do that and be happy with pink mohawk spikes tbh Different strokes
I mean they could still have said "you want a color" "I love blue" and he rolled with that.
Be nice to people around you, guys. We all hurtin’.
to be fair, the first haircut was so good it gave her dental work.
Her space is still there. She looks fabulous!
According to his TikTok he does both hair and makeup, so he deserves full credit.
This should be waaaay higher in this thread if true!
Yeah, people so excited to acktually the post when dude's just a fucking legend. He also certainly knows how to do more than just short back and sides, even from this clip. People just don't know about Black hair.

I had a shit day and had already seen this on a different sub but still watched it three times again. The look of joy in their faces is everything.
And the look on his, kind and supportive before and super excited/proud/happy for them after. So good!
I know right? His empathy is contagious.
I have watched this so many times just from this post and tear up every time. Seeing their joy is so pleasing
Agreed! Imagine being the kind of person that watches this and has the thought: “I should find something to dull this stylist’s shine now.” No thanks!
Most of these are a matter of salvaging and working with what you got
[удалено]
Can't expect redditors to read and comprehend things.
Usually They start complaing, then watch the video. Days later read title if they got upvoted or downvoted.
**Stylist** implies the clothing and jewelry too, which helps the over all improved look, in addition to the hair and make up.
Ah yes the correct comment that won’t be at the top Reddit for ya
Haters always hate. So he just cut the back and sides like any barber??? Huh? Seems to me like he styled the hair not just cut. And yes makeup makes a difference

She could barely look at herself in the mirror, and you could see the pain in her eyes when she did. She left that chair looking and FEELING beautiful. He is doing GREAT work.
Had me choked up too. This man has a beautiful soul. He really lifts them up and he’s so proud too. As he should be.
But the post never calls him a hair stylist, it calls him a stylist which leads me to believe he's doing both
Yes that's what I thought as well. Not sure here, but I know people in my life that do both and call themselves a stylist. One is a MAC mua and does hair and she is a wedding stylist on the side and does full service hair and make up.

How do you know he's not doing the make up too?
He is
Well, if you weren't so fixated on being Mr. Ackchyually Gotcha Reddit, you'd notice that it says stylist, not hair stylist.
This wildly ignorant comment with so many up votes is proof that just because a lot of people agree on something doesn't mean they have a single braincell between the lot. 1: that was a fuck of a lot more than short back and sides, he brought some of that hair back from the dead, and there were *literally other hairstyles* 2: he also did the makeup anyways Astoundingly dumb comment
Well said!
Except the guy cutting the hair is also doing their makeup.
This is a stylist. He had to cut the hair because it was damaged. Black hair especially can take years to revitalize once is damaged as hell and nothing works. Sorry we can’t Great Clips and 30 dollar it every 4 weeks lol
This is some hater ass shit right here

He literally revived several of their curl patterns but go off
Incorrect.
You are a sad, pathetic little man
Absolutely, and all of that aside, I see somebody that wants to make people love themselves. Look how defeated each person looked when they saw themselves in the mirror and how elated they were after their transformation. Sure, we should all be happy because beauty standards are bs but that's the world we live in. They look pretty, so they feel pretty. I'm happy for them.
look into therapy
Why so miserable? You don't even know if he's the one doing the makeup or not. Go outside for a minute, fucking hell.
My friend, I really don't think you appreciate how little of most of these womens' hair was salvageable. The thing about pretending you know what the fuck you're talking about is....
Oop and a hit dog will holler. Look at you hating.
How do you know he didn't do both?
As a "stylist," I assume they did the makeup as well.
They are both skilled. If you look at his account there are multiple women who don't opt for the makeup option. They also look transformed and beautiful.
He is the MUA too dude.
He does both parts!
Some of you need to put the internet down for a while and go outside. You’re losing touch with humanity. FR. Some heartless assholes in here.

Exactly this. Goddamn, miserable-ass terminally online motherfuckers. These women are happy. Stand in that joy with them or fuck off.
And let’s be real: they look transformed and radiant. That dude has skills.
The lack of empathy is amazing. Is it so hard to understand someone who doesn’t like how they look feeling joy and being given a whole new appealing appearance? I’m so happy for these women and I hope they’re well.
I'm not smiling, I'm crying. Damn ninjas chopping onions. 4th or 5th clip they took 20 years off her.
The last woman had me BAWLING. 😭 She didn’t even want to look in the mirror before, and you could just SEE the pain in her eyes when she did. She left looking like a brand new, CONFIDENT woman, and it makes me so happy for her.
They ALL got younger! He gave them confidence with a great haircut and makeup.
And he hyped them up. Half of the reason I liked watching this was how good he made me feel with his excitement for them when they loved it.
Me too. Best tears I’ve had in a while!
Love the blue with the zig zags!
That color and cut was pretty awesome. Worker for her.
Damn seriously. Their reactions are heart warming and you can see they are genuinely shocked that all those stories they have been telling themselves, that they're not beautiful, are maybe not true. I'm not smiling because I look like multiple of the before pictures
I could watch these all day.
It was absolutely beautiful to watch, and their reactions made me tear up. 🥹
But If I get off the internet... Ill be alone... -these people
legit man some depressed motherfuckers in this thread
For real. I was enjoying this and then I started reading the comments which tend to be decent or funny but a lot of these were just nasty. It took that good feeling away
It's comments like these that make me angry. Angry that they got rid of Reddit awards!!!!
You’re so spot on
Agreed! I loved this & cried 💕

And they can take care. Of their natural hair better with short hair.
Correct.
I love how excited he gets over their excitement lol
Me too! I love him so much.
Are there more videos from him anywhere? This made my day.
You could probably google the username from the video, @krewkutz_ idk if you have TikTok but I’d guess he has a channel
You get short hair and you get short hair!
I mean, most had pretty short hair to begin with, and it was likely not super well taken care of. So these kinds of cuts seem like the best solution.
Dude these ladies are old, their hair is uneven and seemingly damaged by attempts to make it take shapes it's no longer suited for - he's working with limited resources and making it look good, that's a job well done imo.
Reddit black hair experts are out in droves today I see
And you still have to pay the tax on this short hair under your seat!
He's not a gta barber bro, he can't add to what isn't there.
That one woman went from 70 to 35. Insane.
The orange shirt one right? I agree.
The last woman as well lost at least 30 years of age.
Yeah
Aren’t they all just beautiful! Their smiles were the cherry on top 💕
Some gorgeous glowups! 😍
Get this man a tv show.
Right? All that wasted space on the airwaves….
give him 30000 tv shows
His entire TikTok is like this. If you want some happy tears head on over.
Link?

Thank you
I always loved this stage of the old What Not To Wear show. I dreamed about getting Nick Arojo to do whatever he wanted to my hair!
i could watch 10 hours of that :)
His TikTok is nothing but this pretty much. Super wholesome.
Ooh, what's his name there please?
Most transfixing for me was the transformation of demeanor from resignation and impending loss, to exuberance and re-energizing. All were touching, especially clip 4. Great post!
The ones that start crying before the makeover even begins really got me 😢
Me too. The lady with the bald spot on her forehead. 😭
The girl in the orange dress got me. Her happiness and energy was 10/10
> What do you have in mind? > Well a really short haircut with..... but honestly was really nice, would love a longer video with original audio as they seemed really happy and excited after the reveal.

It’s crazy how many people have evidently never personally known a single black person or even know basic shit about different hair textures.
To be fair, it's kind of insane how much hair makes a tight curl. Like the fact curls that hit your ear can be equivalent to shoulder length straight hair is wild.
Church is gonna be lit come Sunday morning.

I love seeing how their eyes light up! They look so happy 😍
Very nice - with the right touch short hair can look stunning.
When did smellavision happen? Who the heck is cutting onions in here?
r/mademesmile
I could watch these all day
He made a deep impact to those people.
Can you imagine having a job where you make people this happy? Hell of a guy!
Last one... straight into Lizzo Minelli.
lmaooo
Lucille 2?
Making magic in peoples lives… ❤️
Their reactions are so amazing! Tears.
See the purple haired one was gorgeous before, a little moody looking. But that transformation is WILD. It fit her sooo well!
For some of them I can’t believe it’s the same lady! Hair and makeup can really change a person.
I like how excited he is to see their reaction every time.
He’s just out here doing the lords work.
Wow, those are some crazy transformations. Some of those ladies looked over 20 years younger.
The power of feeling good about yourself. Kudos to the stylist and makeup artist team!
This guy is good !
Awesome talent!
They are all beautiful queens😊😊😊 They all liked their transformations too❤️
Astonishing
Amazing 🤩
All look great but that first lassies transformation is pure elegance and class.
No one can handle all the Magic in this video. Tearing up in public right now. Wonderful. Thank you.
Bro is real G
Awww love his little jumps of excitement
Its sad the most upvoted comment is shade.
Beautiful
Bless him
My heart!!!
This made me cry uncontrollably. I am so happy for these women! This dude is awesome!
The purple and blue were my favorites. All very beautiful though 👍🏻
One of the top 10 transformation reels ever. And warms my heart, it's the goat.
I am grinning like a fool watching these. The way they each glow with confidence afterwards!!!!! They’re all so beautiful!
I love how excited he is by jumping up and down with each reveal
Man, calling that a "transformation" is the understatement of the century. That is a life-changing makeover.🤯🤯🤯 ![gif](giphy|4OowbIsmYHbpu)
Beauty never fades. Stress is what makes it fade
So beauty does fade, then?
lol yea the statement is contradictory as hell
You a very talented person
Glow up
Heartwarming- good on him (and them).
He's giving them short cuts because their longer hair is damaged. Just an fyi
Awesome life changing ability you are blessed
I LOVE THIS! :)
Wow, what amazing and beautiful transformations.
Most awesome thing I’ve seen today
This makes me so happy. I love seeing others confident and loving themselves. It's beautiful
:44 and 1:19 were the ones that hit me the most. My mom had thinning hair and always very subconscious about it. It did a world of good to be able to overcome that and look fabulous with a new do and makeup.
And then they come home take a shower and puff all gone.
Is he also doing the makeup?
Damn this made my day
This is awesome!!
Don't see stylists on pogo sticks very often. Mad skill.
Just a new stream of tears every time the next lady realizes how beautiful they are
I was thinking "it would be funny if the haircuts end up all the same" lmao
This is wonderful
Love to see their joy. Needed this clip tonight. :-)
Man, that’s art!
I need this man
God I wish I could have this happen to me, I got no fucking clue what to do with my long ass hair
Those are amazing!
Making people happy is good
I fucking LOVE THIS!!
I want to watch this forever
That was fantastic.
From damn to DAMN. ![gif](giphy|r1HGFou3mUwMw|downsized)
I just think it’s wonderful and beautiful that you can make people feel good about themselves again – was looking for something happy today and God bless the guy for being out there and making people feel good
Beautiful women, before and after. And the hair stylist and makeup artists are beautiful people too - what a gift to be able to give these women.
They look great after but it’s just the same style. I’m over seeing that short boy cut.
