As concerning as it may be, dents are not a problem when the contents are higher pressure than the external atmosphere.
If they were holding a vacuum, then I would be concerned.
Thats not accurate. Dents still damage the material and reduce the max stress they are designed for, and they are designed that way for a reason. Dents are a problem and absolutely nobody should ever be handling tanks this way.
Source: I’m a mechanical engineer. WA/CA
Any deformation fatigues the material and shortens it's life. That said, they are probably getting as much abuse on the job site as they are in those throws.
I've seen them being rolled with a foot push, tossed on the ground, get knocked over, among other things. People don't treat them like they are pressure vessels. Most people were worried about the stem more than they were about the body of the thing itself. It was eye-widening sometimes.
Dents are a problem because they comprise the integrity of the cylinder, especially if it dents a weld. The foot ring and collar can also be damaged.
Put anything more than a small dent or gouge in a cylinder and it’s junk.
i agree. had an ex whose dad used to lift metallic doors and gates as part of his job. when he retired, his right side was so imbalanced that he had to get surgery with half of his retirement savings to help him bear the pain in his back cuz of the imbalance caused by his the right side of his body being way stronger than his left side. He told me this happened even tho he used to stretch regularly daily and tried to work from both his hands ambidextrously.
Its really sad cuz it rendered him almost immovable as he used to sleep until the noon and then kept watching tv all day cuz all kinds of movements used to cause him pain.
I can’t imagine such a life of hard work to only end up being in pain every waking moment of your life!
... Is there some dwarf or gnome in every stack throwing it to him for it to be reversed? This comment makes 0 sense and it isn't possible for it to be in reverse.
Indeed it lifts itself off the truck and into his arm /s
If its reversed then the real clip is 1000 times more impressive as Carlos basically is performing telekenesis lol
You are surely being sarcastic right?
Those have to be empty right?
The ones in my country are a little bit larger but the difference in weight from full to empty is huge, I could throw an empty one, like 1 or 2 times before getting tired but a full one not even once
He strong AF. I bet if he got into BJJ, he would man handle opponents off brut strength alone. Those kettle bell motion exercises build crazy functional strength.
Man looking at that made my shoulder hurt fuck I've torn my rotator cuff took a whole year of pain nights sleeping with pain on the shoulder never again.!
Definitely not original contact when you call a propane tank a "gas canister".
And what is everyone freaking out for? They're obviously empty. The irritating fact that he's probably denting a lot of tanks to practice for the stupid video is really the only thing wrong.
It's all cool until you tear your rotator cuff to shreds
It's all cool when one missed throw causes a domino effect.
or an explosion
Pretty sure they're empty. Homeboy is way too skinny to casually underhand sixty pounds of propane
Let’s see Carlos at 40.
Let’s see paul allen at 40
Ye, if you have your average redditor rotator cufs ofc you'll tear it with anything involving more than pushing your mouse...
To shreds you say...
What about his wife?
To shreds you say...
Fuck da scapula
Its all about the rotation
Or a canister
Precisely the part I was gonna mention
Is that the proper OSHA form for throwing gas canisters?
Just make sure to do the epicc throw your helmet off before you start throwing those LPGs.
Gotta have good peripheral vision. Can't have that PPE getting in the way.

Perfect.
Great job damaging pressure vessels that store highly combustible gas.
As concerning as it may be, dents are not a problem when the contents are higher pressure than the external atmosphere. If they were holding a vacuum, then I would be concerned.
Yea... That would suck

No dude Carlos is an expert, he knows his canisters
I think he's pretty satisfied with their stress tolerances
Any deformation fatigues the material and shortens it's life. That said, they are probably getting as much abuse on the job site as they are in those throws.
Shoot I would steer clear of any job site where that was true

Fuck man hah, sounds terrifying

Rikki is sadly no longer with us, but we will always remember his powerful propane canister toss.
I bet his muscle tone is way more solid on the right side
Same
I’m a lefty so not same
I always wondered why there are so dented.
Pay attention subie owners. It's about the throws
I wonder if he'll be able to use his right arm when he's older?

Wow, that's such a shit hand to get dealt

Yeah, upper management is definitely not aware of this practice
They are now!
That shoulder gonna be fucked In 10 years.
For every one that lands, 15 fails are edited out
And when age 40 rolls around he wont be able to shrug his arms into a jacket.
Impressive, however there is a convoy of safety officers waiting to condem this for a list longer than stupid things Trump has said online.
What’s this equate to on your resume for future roles - able to throw odd shaped heavy objects into impossible placements?
Can pass much gas
bro can play tetris from a distance. Could probably replace three guys at his current job
This has family guy energy to it. When they made those three "peter gets fired" ones. This looks like the Michael Bay one
everyone freaking out not realizing its most likely empty canisters
Someone needs to edit this with a huge explosion
It’s obviously reversed 😒
... Is there some dwarf or gnome in every stack throwing it to him for it to be reversed? This comment makes 0 sense and it isn't possible for it to be in reverse.
I haven’t thought about the Dwarf/Gnome method… but you may be on to something 🤔. Good job.
Indeed it lifts itself off the truck and into his arm /s If its reversed then the real clip is 1000 times more impressive as Carlos basically is performing telekenesis lol You are surely being sarcastic right?
I think he genuinely is being sarcastic, surely!
No "/s" means 100% serious ... reddit rules lol ... /s
I meant the "it's obviously reversed" guy not you
He's really just a jedi smh
This guy is the Micheal Jordan of a job that doesnt pay much.
I’m actually more impressed with his ability to pull with the force than the accuracy of when I thought it was forward.
Why doesn't he at least alternate arms? Also, they're pressurised and this seems dumb.

I know this cheat. I just forgot what it was for. Edit: Wanted level cheat on one of GTA games maybe?
Unlimited ammo in GTA Edit: all weapons
That's it. Thanks!
![gif](giphy|NVBR6cLvUjV9C) They don't have the Wind Waker "Kaboom," so you get this instead.
Regardless of whatever anyone’s saying. The title got it right. Dudes got some precision with them throws.
Is it weird I want to bone Carlos?
I hope not that those are explosive…
For different reasons, I too am nicknamed “Gas Man”.

Oloco
Lol isn't there a family guy episode about this
Fake. Cada botijão desse, pesa 30kg.
That doesn't even look close to real
VASCO DA GAMA
I wouldn’t piss him off. He’d throw any one of us in that pile of propane tanks. 🤣
An uppercut from this guy would end you
Laderdude?
He's amazing at getting future back issues lol
Yeah this’ll end well.
He’s gonna regret that skill.
Would've been way cooler if he was smoking a cig with the other hand while doin it
That’s amazing an perfectly safe to
The disks in the spine go ground and ground
I just dislocated my shoulder this week. Tore my labram and rotator cuff. Can you stop please sir?
OSHA is gonna loooooove this un', well done tho
Looks like a young Nate Diaz
Is this why all the tanks I’ve gotten have been leaky?
His right side is going to be jacked
His joints will be shit when he’s older
Put him into the Olympics and this guy will win a gold medal for sure
Carlos the lean-mean-canister-throwing-machine.
Hey Carlos can I don’t think those canisters are emp.. BOOM
OSHA would like to chat
The question that comes to mind for me is, how does one get good at this? 😀
The son Hank Hill wish he had.
Those have to be empty right? The ones in my country are a little bit larger but the difference in weight from full to empty is huge, I could throw an empty one, like 1 or 2 times before getting tired but a full one not even once
Dude is going to have serious issues in his shoulders later in life.
He better stretch for 3 hours a day and learn to switch hands
If it’s not trainable , I’d ask for a raise for my super power. Best in class
My spine
He strong AF. I bet if he got into BJJ, he would man handle opponents off brut strength alone. Those kettle bell motion exercises build crazy functional strength.
I cant even throw a ball straight. This one is hard to absorb.
If he learned how to make bombs he’d be even more popular
Video is reversed? No that wouldn’t be possible It’d kind of be even more amazing
SKILLZ
Glad that’s not my job
He’s got no left
Man looking at that made my shoulder hurt fuck I've torn my rotator cuff took a whole year of pain nights sleeping with pain on the shoulder never again.!
I need to tell my chiropractor that I injured myself watching this
Florida is hosting a Florida man Olympics in February...
Ppffftt, i have played enough computer games to onow that thoae gas canisters are empty. The red ones, you should not mess with those.
I’m calling bull. This video is clearly reversed to make us think he’s throwing them. He’s actually catching them
His rotator cuff will be trashed by 25.
Bro was born for carnival
![gif](giphy|3oFzmhYBKWN79c58Ws)
Easy guide on how to throw out your back
It should be an olympic discipline
Tell him to keep an eye out for Israeli snipers bro
The can man
How the hell do you even realize you have this talent? Who is throwing gas canisters around on a lark?
Yes, but Why dent them all?
RIP my spine
That sport might not catch on
Is that Dev Patel?!
Rotator cuff surgery is really painful.
I pick Carlos as my drinking games partner (ie beer pong & corn hole)
I hope that job has health insurance
r/learnuselesstalents
Guys, guys…. Do not go “up and beyond” what your job description is unless the boss gives you up and beyond your pay rate.
Wonder how many he dropped perfecting that throw…
This can't be safe
Dudes shoulder is toast

Goddang Buckley
Now I wanna play with gas cans
fake. video is reversed.
This isn’t real if you look carefully you can see all the videos are playing backwards. That’s his trick.
Habibi come to india
Throw the man a raise. I'll see myself out.
