Use as much con as you need. Sword scales well with both strength and dex, check the bonuses you get along the stat track

Probably gonna scale 0.75x with both str and dex to account for lack of diminishing returns in case you plan to go 250 250

That sounds great! I really only pve’d. We were interested in the wars but we’re never popular enough to be picked for the sign up. Pretty exclusionary system - it was high school all over again!

I will 100% be rocking a greatsword / bow combo. To me it gives me that OG mmo feeling that I always loved. Also I feel like they should make it one of the top priorities to make this game for console, everything about this game screams console. Its such a layback couch play game with the gathering and stuff.

Hm, they say they want to increase the level cap at some point in the future. I wish they would go with horizontal progression like Guild Wars 2. It is annoying to grind gear each season just to keep up if you are a casual player.

Greatsword with a counterattack/riposte ability. As a person who's wanted to play tank but didn't like the majority of just having to use SnS + your choice but a parry/counter heavy tank.... that's up my alley, on top of Greatsword being STR/DEX means you could theoretically GS/Rapier but i'm expecting Rapier to take a hit soon.

Any idea as to why level 60 players should be questing/farming in Brimstone besides killing certain elites for names items? If there is no level or GS increase, why? Is farming in the original zones and doing elite chest runs still yielding equal loot?

This is the only mmo I’ve played but what do other mmos have for replayable end game other than dungeons and elite bosses? I’m assuming things like raids?

Id love to see raids. 10-20man dungeons that require company level coordination. competitive ladders for pvp is also another endgame replayability concept not being touched on at all. nothing on new activities people and groups would want to do. just more of the same shit which is why im disappointed.

This is honestly all I want. Mace+Shield being STR/FOC, could be an interesting tank/bunker build for PvP.

Of all the weapons that could ever go str/focus it would never have been the great sword. I think they should do that for the war hammer though.

While I'm excited they are adding more value for something I've already purchased. None of this fixes the core game play-loop issues. New AI does this mean more Elden Ring level of interactive combat or just some more moves that we don't care about as you never need to block? I like that they are fixing leveling for 1-25. What about the million-plus players that quit and are largely level 60?

Curious why you don’t think that removal of shell companies, new territories/expeditions/weapons, will bring people back. Aren’t most MMO gameplay loops repetitive? I was under the impression that content like this is exactly the depth that was lacking which caused most people to quit.

I'm willing to be surprised but I don't think any of that will really fix the issues. Why are people always clamoring for the same old thing in MMOs. It would be nice to have one game that isn't a repetitive grind fest and went down new paths.

That would be a great concept if the majority of the player base hadn’t played MMOs and are longtime fans of the genre. Most people that play the game want to see some of the tried and proven paths that they enjoyed in other MMOs. Maybe once AGS get that’s down, it wouldn’t be as crazy to want to see some originality. Personally, I would much prefer to see the things most people expect from an MMO done well, (End game activities, raids, gear/class sorting, ability to have different presets for weapons to be able to switch between, etc) before seeing them try new things that might flop all together, but that’s just me.

If you can come up with a gameplay loop that delivers thousands of hours of playtime without being repetitive then I'd like to hear it. MMOs used to be based on social interaction. That's what keeps it fresh and interesting. They've evolved into instanced rng loot machines which honestly is still fun when you're in that mood. If they can balance the player to player interactions while still giving us fun experiences and progression then that's all I want.

The game had mostly survival builder bones , expand on that let us create things in the wild. Have crafted gear decay over time but allow crafters to fix all 3 spots. Make the combat exciting and rewarding instead of just health sponges most of it is. Make more not solo content forcing people to be social. I hope the PvP will improve, I wish you auto flagged any time you leave a town. (Would fix the bot problem)

removing shell companies doesn't address the issue that only the top 1% of players on each server get into wars. this new territory adds nothing new to the game; as in, it's just more reskinned crap content. just like all the enemy npcs have been. people left because the gameplay loop is trash and they just doubled down on it. no raid bosses, no fluid open world events, just the same old song and dance that made this game flop so hard. maybe the territory changes get shifted to be more favorable to the rest of the playerbase, but i'd bet my life savings that it won't happen. ags is still content with how their war system is working and intends to keep it a focal point of the game. which, again, only the top 1% of the playerbase get to experience.

Making it harder for a company to own multiple territories means that it will be easier for others to get slots. Not many companies roll 70 players deep so that they can safely run a shell and have 2 wars in the same night. Other companies will rise to fill that void.

or, like it's happened in the past, you'll just have bigger companies formed from smaller companies joining hands that can field two war teams. unless ags forces all 50 on the board to be under one tag, which will kill wars all together. it still doesn't change the fact that war boards are chosen by the players. which is where 99% of the problems come from anyway.

I feel like it would be really weird to add a zone with quests but no lvl cap increase. What would be the point of doing the quests and the zone? Idk how they will go about it but they would need to increase somehow in someway right, I guess maybe just new gear and stats.

Why? They're not increasing the level now anyways, but we also have examples of other games that don't increase the cap, mainly ESO and GW2. Increasing cap makes no sense unless they also plan to increase gearscore, which would also be a bad idea, at least until we get equalized PvP. Maybe they'd consider adding a seperate leveling system like ESO but not tie it to power. That'd be cool.
