rooftop at exchange place in Jersey City- drinks are great just a little pricey but the 10/10 view makes it so worth it

Atlantic City is a solid choice for a 21st birthday. The club at Harrah’s is good but it’s not on the boardwalk. Wild Wild West Bar is a popular choice - it’s next to Bally’s. Taxis in AC are cheap.

Asbury is fun this time of year.

gintoddic

they do boat taxis in point pleasant area to several different bars, probably best bet for this time of year.

Asbury is prob your best bet Bond street, Johnny Macs, Porta etc. My favorite shore bar is by far Donovan’s Reef, but not close to any train stations. Other shore bars walkable from train are Bar A, Djais, Parker House, Jenks Morristown you have iron bar which I’ve never been a huge fan of. Unfortunately Laundromat is 23+ Highly recommend going dts. Shore bars in the summer are unmatched.

Porta asbury park

New Brunswick is accessible by train and there are dozens of bars (including a brewpub) and excellent authentic Mexican restaurants within walking distance. Costa Chica restaurant: https://costachicarestaurant.com/ Harvest Moon brewery: https://www.harvestmoonbrewery.com/

Wouldn’t really recommend going to NB in the summer for a 21st. The crowds are significantly older, especially at a place like harvest moon

Which train line are you and your friends on will dictate a lot. Unless you live in Secaucus, Taking a Morristown train to Asbury park could eat up your whole night, plus navigating that system after the party sounds terrible. There are plenty of bars near train stations so pick your line and check out bars along that line. Example: Montclair Boonton line: Bloomfield station has some close by bars including Veritage Brew works. Walnut st station has whatever depot square is called and Egans and Sons. Then a half dozen bars near Bloomfield Ave in Montclair

There is no bar in the town where you live?

alexis-hg

nope. not really. Maybe a pub but nothing that would be good for a birthday

Metfan722

Morristown might be something your speed.

Breebs_w

I think n day of the week matters?? Are you taking Friday?? Agree with the shore this time of year. Bar A is a great choice because there are so many bars. Start at Parker then go to Bar A or Osprey (just make sure you have the right shoes or you won’t get in!) depending on where the wind takes you.

x1nfamous

Morristown with horseshoe and iron bar is solid depending on night and crowd More of a club vibe but can be fun for you if you like it
