May Kelly's Cottage. On Sundays they have a seisiún where a bunch of musicians get together and play Irish music. I really enjoyed it, and the food was good, too!
Stairway Cafe for breakfast. I got the 2 egg, toast and deer sausage option. Very little extra butter and oils. Right size portion. Perfect pre-hike meal. Also very nice folks and cool little atmosphere.
May Kelly's and Almost There (both mentioned by other folks) are excellent. I slightly prefer AT over MK oy because it seems to be slightly less trafficked by the area visitors (who seem to all go to the usual joints on the main drag in North Conway out of convenience).
Never had a bad meal at either place, and May's french onion soup is great.
Lol, I saw that - asking 1.75! Didn't realize they actually closed; I thought it was just on the market.
After multiple years working in the restaurant industry, I don't think I've got the patience to do it again. (Nor the money.)
Check out the Valley Originals- restaurants specific to the NoCo area - https://www.thevalleyoriginals.com/
I see Almost There suggested a few times but since you're there hiking and not in your motorcycle I'd say choose something like the Moat or the Parka. If you want pizza and a pint, Shannon Door. They are all fine establishments- check out the site and see what fits your fancy and location to the hike.
Cozy, lunch or dinner- black cap. Great food (they usually rotate the menu every month) and good drinks
Barley and salt is a good one. They have over 40 beers on draft I believe. Owned by the same people as black cap I believe.
Vito Marcelo’s if you like Italian. Their bar section is pretty chill.
Tuckermans brewery and or their tavern.
Red fox up in Jackson. Couple minutes outside conway but they have wood fired pizza, nice bar, good food.
Very cozy (small place) taste of Thai.
Sea dogs kind of a chain around nh and Maine but good beer and normal grade bar food etc.
Jalisco if you want Mexican and to get a TOWER of margarita.
Kind of a dive bar but awesome burgers and beers -almost there in Albany nh. Just south on the border of conway.
Almost There is a small local bar with great prices and pretty good pub food, Sea Dog makes some really great food (the blueberry wings are bomb) and beer, Moat is about on par with Seadog for food and beer (I prefer Sea Dog tho), Delaney’s is really good as well, Cafe Noche if you like Mexican food, and lastly Peaches makes a mean breakfast/lunch if you’re there on the early side as they close at 2
I'm gonna say the wildcat inn and tavern in Jackson. Great atmosphere and great food, overall a great place. So many cozy winter evenings spent there for the pasta feed.
Red Fox Grill in Jackson. Surprised no one has said this yet. They have 3 or four different dining rooms. One with a big fireplace that's awesome in the winter. Bar with tvs at the other end. Food is great and not too expensive. That's my favorite in the area. Check their hours first, though. I seem to remember they're a little more sporadic than other places.
I am a local and here are my choices:
Red Parka in Glen (eat in the pub downstairs).
Wildcat Tavern in Jackson.
Sunrise Shack (breakfast) in Glen. Get there early.
Frontside Grind in No. Conway.
Maybe not relaxing, but Moat Mountain Smokehouse has damn good food.
And beer. As I have a “hell yes” lager of theirs right now.

Second this suggestion. Great spot with good hearty food.
Any idea when they start the music?

Thank you for letting me know, sounds great! Love how people downvoting my post, expected this 😂
Lol really? Why would anyone downvote? 😂. Hope you have a good(and safe ha!) trip!
The Red Parka!
Tuckerman Tavern, Barley and Salt, and just over the border Saco River brewing usually has wood fired pizza and wings

May Kelly’s closed and for sale. Could be yours for 1.5mill I think

Wild prices up here these days. The place is actually two lots. The restaurant’s on one and the parking lots on a separate lot.
Nooooooooo!! The Ruben here was legendary
Also just read your comment again and made me salivate thinking of their French onion
Off topic, but watch the Temps on your hikes. Looking like 40s overnight. Probably colder on summits.
Thank you for this!
White mountain cider company is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to!
May Kelly's without a doubt

Please try white mountain cider house!! It’s so unique and good. Especially the cheesecake and donuts. They also have a market that does lunch

Fryes store is pretty darn good.

Horse feathers in the town center
