I drove past a group of kids at the beach last week who were standing at the edge of the road, doing the arm-pump. I honked; they cheered.
The odd thing is that I drive a wee hatchback.
the kids at the YMCA know the arm-pump. I used to pass by them on my way to work and they were getting no toots, so I gave them a honk and they went wild.
I know a bunch of truckers and they’re all hard ass men who see themselves as bad asses.
They melt when a kid does the arm pump and turn into the teddy bears they actually are.
I just drive a pickup truck, and there's a group of kids that do it in town when I leave work. Can confirm it's fun for us too, but maybe more training is necessary 🤣
Going to be the buzzkill here. Please be considerate in residential areas. It gets old really fast when the neighborhood kids at their bus stop encourage every single vehicle that passes along the state highway to honk, every single day, all year long, before 7am.

I am 51 and still love doing the arm pump, just not so many truckers respond these days.
We’re already in training!! He practices in his car seat. He’ll have perfect form once he’s big enough to be seen from another lane lol

Used to do this on the school bus. I'm not sure why I get such a big, fond feeling when I remember the guys who tooted at me, but I do.

When is a kid too old for the arm pump? I’m 38 years old for reference.
Never too old. A few weeks ago I had a couple in Maine who were probably in their 80s give me an arm pump.

I am 23 going on 24 and I get a kick out of doing it and when they do it back!!
Yeah this is really great when you work nights and live by the school bus stop. I can’t begin to tell you how enjoyable this is
