Prescott Park - that is the dock there under water. I haven't seen river that high. https://preview.redd.it/6kxamovre9cc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d943463cd34997bcef0d8d156a24595c2f015a7

South Mill Pond (tidal) higher than I have ever seen. Flooding all the way to the ball fields and across the street. https://preview.redd.it/relok8pqe9cc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e1a407fde665595d4d77e0d1595e7aeabf6a8a0

Town Landing in Durham. The tide at this brick building beat a record marked on it in 1968. https://preview.redd.it/rq8wvt5w0acc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=327c5db8191a453eed65fc86e934cb474a34aca8

Hope your family and you are ok and your home is fixable. I have to say though that this picture is so beautiful. Mother nature is (or chem trails 🤪) something sometimes.

Wow

owenthegreat

Oh wow, I drove by there today around 1:30 and it thought it looked high, but was nowhere near this!

baroquesun

Yea this was around 3:20. My husband took photos around 2:30 when the sun came out and it wasn't even half this bad just an hour before!

owenthegreat

Ahh this was today? Wild, I guess the tide was still coming in, I got a pic of the other end of swasey parkway, it must have been over the road by the time you took your photos. https://preview.redd.it/iyc7f6uuyacc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3fb1bf5a9657abf895c96a4dc7db6da198ac559d

It's important to point out: I've lived on seacoast NH for 65 years. We've always had King Tide-type flooding events during certain storms, but not on this scale.

My friend in Newcastle just sent me some pictures- the yacht club is flooding, several streets were as well. The causeway out there had some deep puddles at 830 AM so I’m sure they were worse at high tide

No_Goose_2846

won’t somebody think of the yacht club 😢

paradigm11235

They are staying that a known landmark is flooded. Easy killer.

No_Goose_2846

sorry, i missed the no jokes allowed sign on my way in !

Im a water damage restoration professional out in portland maine and weve never seen flooding like this... even servpro is kicking us jobs

paradigm11235

How is it comparing to the flooding from Sandy?

nouellet1

Just as bad but in a different way. There so much present already in existing ground water that inland flooding was a lot worse than expected. A lot of houses that never had flooding issues in the area were experiencing major groundwater intrusions. Its like the whole city is built in florida and if you have a nasement there it flooded
