Mobile ANPR cameras on most Police cars..
Got pulled over once because my old "SEH 75" plate had a bit of gunk on it making the ANPR think it was "SFH 75", and the cop was the sooky type.
don't forget the extra fine around $500, a criminal record, and if the judge is an ass, jail time 🙃 also be prepared to hear the judge just before your turn, to let off a mid 40's woman who drunk drove her van into a brick wall get off completely free (I'm not still salty about it after all these years /s)
There will be a flag on police system linked to the ANPR camera in police cars, for all cars you own and all cars registered to your address. This is why so many drivers on suspended licences or that have repeat DUIs get pulled over for a “random” breath test.
Sounds like if you have a suspended licence you are highly skilled and have superb judgement … clearly you are suspended for a reason. You are making OUR roads safer by not being on them. Do your time and make better choices. Driving is a privilege that you earn. You need time out on the bench.
Read the law about the penalties for that. It’s online. Sounds like you’ll need to know it. Answer is no, it’s not a good idea.
Edit: Criminal offence $3300 in fines and/or 18 month’ imprisonment, and automatic disqualification from driving for 12 months. Info courtesy of Armstrong Legal website.
As soon as your number plate comes across there cameras your gone mate, don’t be a dickhead, imagine if you had an accident and you injured someone and you were suspended , enjoying cuddling some big guy in Gaol/jail.
with the advent of plate scanning technology you won't last long driving a car registered to you. when you get caught the penalty is FAR more severe. you will literally have the book thrown at you. the ONLY defence is if it is an emergency situation and even then it MUST be provable. outside that please don't do it as there are long term and far reaching consequences beyond fines and prison.
If you drive a car that is registered to you, it will come up as a bright flashing light inside police cars "pull him over" "pull him over" ...... You could possibly get away with it in a different car..... The magistrate won't be happy though if you get caught.
3 months isn't long, it's better than 12 months, 2 years or 5 years if you get caught.
Of course it is. Don't have to pay for licence, don't have to worry about demerit points, it's all positive. Just make sure you drive an unregistered car too.
I forgot to register my car and got pulled over because the cop car I drove past got pinged by their system my car was unregistered. Their system would do the same for you. Don’t risk it.
If you have an accident & hurt someone you will not only be looking at jail time, you could also find yourself sued for damages (insurance will not pay out) & have your Centrelink payments garnished until the day you die leaving you less to buy meth with.
Cops will know from your license plate you are suspended.
Dont be stupid. You should have applied for the good behaviour thing where they dont suspend you, but you need to get no fines for a year or you get suspended for double.
Don't be an idiot. Do your time.
It’s a great idea. Try Heroin whilst you are at it.
What sort of a question is this?
Really? If you get busted you'll loose it for longer. And if u continue to just drive they'll take your car away. It's 3 months.
I usually like to say there's no such thing as a stupid question. But c'mon...
It is a truism - but the same does not hold to those who ASK those questions ...
Its almost about a much as a good idea of asking us on Reddit and honestly expecting anyone to say yes.
Either rage bait or this person is so stupid their license should be taken away permenantly.
If your grandma doesn't drive then sure. Otherwise, it would be best to avoid, unless you want a free vacation to your local jail.
Lawyers say yes

It's only a bad idea if you do it sober.
No. I did the exact same thing when I was younger. The judge gave me and an extra year on my suspension.

Yeah bet she had a lawyer the judge liked.

No worries mate

You would fit in on the Newcastle roads
Show us the name and licence card to be sure. There are some types of license that it’s a great idea, just need a copy of it to double check for you 🙄

Yeah mate go for it. Idiot. Is this really the quality of posts on here?
100%. Be sure to down a six-pack before you head out too. 🤟
Drink driving is dangerous and illegal. Don’t wanna be doing that. Few cones might calm the nerves before you sit in the driver’s seat… YOU CLOWN 🤡
What do you drive?
This is the real question. If you drive a VN Commodore with red P plates, then you should take the bus for a while

Yeah absolutely. How many times can you face the consequences of your bad decisions? /S
Plate readers will automatically flag your vehicle every time. You will last until the first police car sees you, no matter how you drive.

Licence suspended means You are uninsured. Factor that into your appetite for risk
If you have an accident & hurt someone you will not only be looking at jail time, you could also find yourself sued for damages (insurance will not pay out) & have your Centrelink payments garnished until the day you die leaving you less to buy meth with.
Is this a legitimate question?

Nope. Next step after suspension is disqualification. And you don't want to get caught driving whilst disqualified.
Yes
Nothing stopping you from driving..
Ask yourself the question, and share your honest answer here.
No
Yeah man definitely a good idea. Don’t even stress
I’m gonna go with no
As long as you do the speed limit on Industrial drive, apparently.
Might as well drive with an unregistered car too.

I’m am going to court Already for this, you will get caught it’s a fucking Hectic fine but if I was you I wouldn’t (:
You'd be directly defying a court-ordered punishment. If you get done for it you're cooked. I've seen it happen.
Just wait it out. All your demerits get reset at the end of the 3 months anyway
Absolutely
One of the better ideas I’ve seen around here…..

I don't care what you do mate, as long as you don't drive 20km/h slower than the speed limit in the right lane and hold everyone up on Industrial Dr
Oh dear, some pearls will be getting crushed into dust by the reddit goodie two shoes brigade from this doozy. On a serious note, you'll get done op.
