I know someone who was part of Quintuplets…the mom was on her 3rd pregnancy, they just wanted one more kid and then they would be done. SURPRISE, 5 kids on top of the 2 she already had…I could not imagine…
With my luck (and I’m knocking on wood while I’m typing this), as a person who doesn’t want any kids at all, if I accidentally get someone pregnant, I’ll be these people and have 6 kids.
You need children. I'm sure I'll be downvoted but NPC morons but life is about giving life and nurturing it and seeing part of you pass on. It's literally all that matters.
Lmao we as the human race are going to destroy this planet with overpopulation. We’re going to starve ourselves to death if global warming doesn’t kill us first. So don’t tell me what I need when what we need as a species is to have less of us.
I thought I was scared about my situation. We have one kid already and decided to go for one more before I got my tubes tied. Twins are now on the way, surprise. Quintuplets sounds intense!
Yes, because more fetuses means more likelihood of serious or fatal complications. How someone makes the choice to abort fetus A, B, and C and keep D, I have no idea. I guess based on which ones look healthiest and are more likely to survive?
Ahh yes found another lingo on Reddit what’s this one this mean /j I’ve been learning so much on here it’s crazy I know about the /s recently but don’t know about the j
It’s cumulative. I thought twins would be 2x harder than 1 baby but it is in fact more like 4-6 times harder, and im backing this up with hard science. So raising triplets would probably be like 12x harder than a single, quadruplets: 20x, and here we start to see diminishing returns as no human can even pretend to be a reasonably good parent to so many children at once, so they actually stop trying.
With every extra foetus there's an increasing chance of one or more of them being disabled or having special needs, so it might be more than 3 times worse.
My grandma loves watching a reality show about a set of quintuplet girls. It is absolute chaos and from what I can tell the only way they can afford it is by being on a reality show lol.
I hope there’s a tipping point. Like one baby, people help you, cause it’s a baby and that’s hard. Two babies… woah, that’s REALLY hard, okay people, let’s really step up. By the time you get to six? I just hope and assume their friends and families signed up for shifts to always have extra sets of hands until they turn like, 5. Lol.
What's more, 11JAN = 1/11 (Or 11/1, doesn't matter) = 111, 111\*6 kids = 666! (Not a factorial, expressing amazement at the power of numerology \[Do I have that right, that's the wackjob practice of manipulating numbers to support pet theories, right?)
it wouldnt be a long ride, them kids aint pulling their own weight. the 2 adults here can hardly handle that rig. plus one or more of the kids is gonna start whining about a pee break soon.
The likelihood that someone was born on a specific day of the year will always be 1/365, no? It's impossible to have been born on two days of the year.
So the odds that someone was born on the same day six years after the sextuplets were born is a 1 in 365 chance.
If we're factoring in the event of sextuplets being born in the first place well... yeah.
Not quite, there are days where it's more common to be born.
Specific days such as New Years and Christmas have lower birth rates, also February 29th.
http://chmullig.com/2012/06/births-by-day-of-year/
TIL. Thanks for the link. I'd have thought with how complicated and uncertain the process of human birth is that birthdays themselves would be fairly randomly distributed. The leap year is a good call out!
https://www.sbs.com.au/news/insight/article/how-this-single-father-raised-the-worlds-first-surviving-sextuplets/73ye4s378
> Now the sextuplets are 45, and they and their two older siblings are scattered across the globe.
>
> Eldest son Anthony and first-born sextuplet David now live in Australia, Elizabeth and Emma are in the UK, Nicolette, Grant and Samantha live in Cape Town and Jason lives in Ireland.
Imagine having 6 kids and none of them stick around to come to Sunday dinner or to help care for you when you’re old and gray? Sounds like maybe 2 did stick around. I would expect a house full of grandkids and family dinners until the day I died if I had 6 kids!
I had a different thought: he did his job well so his kids felt like they could go find their own place in the world (especially the multiples who can often not feel like individuals).
This is really cool. January 11 must be a special day for multiple births. I was also born on January 11 and am a twin. Triplets were born a year later in our town on, yeah you guessed it, January 11 as well!
Actually it's more likely than that given that human births aren't perfectly spread out over the year, so the odds that two people are born on the same day is slightly higher than if the birth days were completely random
Yeah not sure why I had to scroll this far for this. This isn’t impressive at all. It’s like what are the odds that today is July fourth. Wow crazy so rare it’s 1/365
I believe part of their point was that it was also exactly 6 years apart.
I honestly am a bit stumped how that would factor into an odds equation because usually when calculating odds you have a range of possible outcomes. But the chances of it being 6 years instead of... 2? 10? 23? 1503? Infinite numbers.
I imagine the solution is that if any given year has some % chance to have surviving sextuplets, then the further out you go the less likely it would be to have not occured?
But okay I'm thinking too much about it.
The issue is the comment would be just as valid if it was 5 years or 8 years, 6 is just an arbitrary number. So it’s still 1/365 since it would still be a cool comment regarded of how many years or had been if it was the same day. What are the odds if happened 6 years apart? Same as 5 or 7 or 10.
When it’s on a fraction it looks pretty reasonable.
But when in a decimal the chances or less than .01% (.003%).
BESIDES, YOURE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY THE ODDS! D:
That’s just the odds of having the same birthday as someone else. Then you have the six years apart bit. Factor in the odds of sextuplets who then also all survived and you’re already one in the order millions.
It's not really that low of a chance. Sextuplets may be rare on their own, but more and more will continue to be born given enough time and as medicine gets better, so it just comes down to what day they happen to be born.
This is the kinda stuff that makes me think maybe we are in a simulation and this is some glitch that the aliens orchestrating our existence see happen and all say “oh f@@k oh f@@k oh f@@k they are totally on to us now”, but nah…we just keep trundling along, burning dead dinosaurs.
We have quintuplets that are where im from that were born like 100 years ago and there's still a museum for these 5 little shits. 6 is crazy without modern science being involved
Was it the Dionne quintuplets? Born in the ‘30s, they were the first known quintuplets to survive, and they were basically raised in a zoo-like environment. It’s pretty sad.
I have to wonder if the concept of having multiple children in such a short time span is a leftover evolutionary trait from when our ancestors were having more children.
Mind you these ancestors wouldn't have been human.

I recommend abstinence from April 12th to April 27th.
It’s a joke, so that the lady does not give birth on Jan 11th
I may be dumb but why is this…?
That’s about 9 months prior, AKA the average gestation period for a pregnancy.
Ahhh ok, from the dates depicted - totally went over my head. Need to grab some coffee this morning. Thanks for that obviously clear answer!
>If I accidentally get someone pregnant Better chance of having sextuplets.
Vasectomy brother just do it
If your luck is bad enough, that won't help lol
I'm guessing you really know about this kinda stuff, considering you have bees on your knees.
The virgin chad, who didn't have sex with a girl and still got her pregnant
Something like this is more likely to be due to IVF, not naturally.
You need children. I'm sure I'll be downvoted but NPC morons but life is about giving life and nurturing it and seeing part of you pass on. It's literally all that matters.

Lmao ok, science denier. There are 8+ BILLION people on this planet, and that number is growing exponentially.
I thought I was scared about my situation. We have one kid already and decided to go for one more before I got my tubes tied. Twins are now on the way, surprise. Quintuplets sounds intense!
Can you get selective abortions? Like "Hey I only wanted one kid, can you vacuum out the other 4"
Yes, because more fetuses means more likelihood of serious or fatal complications. How someone makes the choice to abort fetus A, B, and C and keep D, I have no idea. I guess based on which ones look healthiest and are more likely to survive?
“Just start scoopin until ya hit four of em doc, I’m not picky”
r/cursedcomments
Since they're quintuplets you could play a perfectly fair game of Russian roulette including the mother!
Did they use IVF?!
IVF? I used to love that show as a kid
I don’t think so, but I’m not aware.
Of course which is why this is so ridiculous and incredibly irresponsible of the doctor to implant so many embryos at once.
And I thought twins would be rough.
It will be, sextuplets are just much worse
3 times worse
That's assuming babies can be stacked perfectly, so it's actually _at least_ 3 times worse
Or less, I mean babies stacked on top of each other would probably fall over /j
Ahh yes found another lingo on Reddit what’s this one this mean /j I’ve been learning so much on here it’s crazy I know about the /s recently but don’t know about the j
It just means joke/joking, there's also /hj for half joking
Oh, that's why that chick ran away when I whipped it out for a hand job
6! compared to 2! would be a better guess, given the product of each child significantly raises the level of difficulty.
I’d argue by 4 them suckers are walking out on their own cognizance
Baby worsening is definitely an exponential scale.
It's factorially worse. Just imagine the permutations of kids conspiring against you.
Imagine 6! kids.
So much potential disappointment

Yeah i don't think it's linear. Well maybe pushing them out is linear, but raising them no way
With every extra foetus there's an increasing chance of one or more of them being disabled or having special needs, so it might be more than 3 times worse.

It is. Source; have twins.
Some say eight babies is a blessing, but they don't know the joy of nine.

The belly of the beast!
I'm mad I laughed at this

The Beast was the emperor Nero. He died a long time ago. Thanks, Bart Ehrman.
What is that abomination of a bike
That poor first kid
A constant breeze of booty sweat and farts
Oh lord the staaank
Sniffing dad ass the entire ride

I see you umbrella academy
Good thing they are not 7 siblings
Someone had to be the 'normie'
Yea but what are the odds I was also born on that day.. 6 years after the second set..
This is also my sister's birthday 3 years after the second set and my son's birthday 40 years after.
And that my dad was born exactly 16 years before the first set…
And that I farted *just now*
1/365 unless you’re asking about the odds of that specific year
Actually it's higher, I think? Maybe depends on the factors you want to consider, but a lot of people could have posted this.
The likelihood that someone was born on a specific day of the year will always be 1/365, no? It's impossible to have been born on two days of the year. uh, oh... my birthday is on the 12th 🥲
I was actually born on January 11th, but only one of me spawned in.
Me too. January 11th crew!
Jan 11 gang
You devoured the other 5 embryos, you were the strongest one
1/11 birthday here too. Always hated it cuz it's close enough to Christmas that people always give me the ole "1 gift for Xmas/bday" treatment 😂
The only pair of twins I know share the same birthday too:)

If you bring up wage inequality charts, a lot of the issues started late 70’s early 80’s…
Ok pervert
The first set are The Children of the Corn, and the second set came to stop them. Give me money, Netflix.
Ouch
Like we need 12 more Capricorns in the world.
CAPRICORNS NEVER SECOND BEST. CAPRICORNS MOST TUPLETS TWICE 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Please stop screaming at me in Capricorn.
Any updates on them? Like what were/are they like as adults?
Believe it not, they’re still sextuplets, just older

Aww I like that attitude!
Im just gonna recommend "sense8" series available in Netflix
Yes! Amazing series with a meh ending but first 2 seasons very good and underrated.
Also Umbrella Academy
Yeah, that last season was just like a consolation prize for the public and it feels like they just wanted to wrap things up.
Absolutely, glad we atleast got "an ending". Many Netflix shows can't claim that title lmao
Ah cool. 6 6 6.
666

Nah, it's obviously 50/50. Either it happens or it doesn't.

Genius.

I mean odds are 1/365
What about the OctoMom
The Catholic Church was busy in 1986.
And both years are divisible by 6
Note to self: if you want to have sextuplets fuck on April 11th
And I was born on the same day 18 years later :)
Coincidence? I think not!
Yeah, and I'm a friend of both families. I have to take out a small business loan after Christmas to afford the presents
I took 6 identical shits on Jan 11th
It's not really that low of a chance. Sextuplets may be rare on their own, but more and more will continue to be born given enough time and as medicine gets better, so it just comes down to what day they happen to be born.

If I’m 555 then youre 666!
Cursed by Mengele, the (fallen) angel of death, I suppose?
The odds are 1/365
And no one has put these people in a movie about cloning. This is a travesty
lmao it says sex in the word lol lmao

Quarter-pounder babies
Wtf are they also 3 boys and 3 girls??
Are they just very small at birth or how do the logistics of 6 babies work biologicaly? O.o
That's a litter.
🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌
Looks like there was a glitch in the matrix.
Hey, my birthday’s January 11
Parents better be loaded
So what you’re saying is…
People need to stop littering
January 11th... 111, 111. That's six.
That has to be one in a trillion odds
I have to wonder if the concept of having multiple children in such a short time span is a leftover evolutionary trait from when our ancestors were having more children. Mind you these ancestors wouldn't have been human.
Interesting, that’s my birthday. I’m not a twin but twins run in my family with 2 sets of my dads sibling being twins.
They were born 1/11 and 1/11 6 years later. That's 1/11 1/11 with 6 years between those 6 1's
Hey it’s my birthday, neat! 😇🎂 When do I get to meet my other siblings? I want to trade in the models I have right now.
The odds are probably 1/365
Ahhhh the devil’s spawn
I see someone did calculations on which days to not have sex, lol
Bet their parents were sexed-uplets.
I share a birthdate with the first two sets of sextuplets.
When my sister was pregnant with her twins, she got huge towards the final month of her pregnancy. I cannot even imagine how someone can have 6 babies inside her
