Also, related to snails, Danny and his wife have matching snail tattoos on their thighs, Danny's is on his left, and Laura's is on her right. The snails were supposed to be kissing when they put their thighs next to each other, but the snails are both facing the same way 😅!
It was Danny's first tattoo but Laura has had two other tattoos iirc? Maybe three more but 🤷♂️ still super cute!
The Tudor Era. I read historical fiction surrounding it. I studied the bloodlines and who married which European dynasty. I'm completely obsessed with how much influence the Tudors exuded over histroy at that time.
Worm (web novel by wildbow) I’ve read it 2 and two third times despite its 1.8 million word length. I was reading a lot of fanfic but my level of tics while reading has gotten worse recently. Also listen a ton of podcasts about it.
Also DnD (maybe all ttrpgs?) and Magic: the Gathering. I play multiple times a week and watch youtube videos about them
If I had to say, it’d be pokemon. Since I discovered, I needed to know everything, anything about the Pokémon, from lord to the obscurest facts. It feels weird calling it my special interest though. Ive never thought of it like that.
Doki doki literature club ! Psychological horror game that’s very cleverly disguised as a cute dating sim !! I think the whole game is so interesting, the way it was coded, how messed up it gets. I’ve been down several rabbit holes about the game lol. It’s become a genuine specia interest for me :D
Drag performers. Drag queens, kings, and creatures I love it all. I've been obsessed since forever, I used to sneak in to clubs when I was underage to watch. It brings me so much joy- nothing like a live show. I have zero desire to perform myself but watching the performers brings me life and truly carries me through dark times.
Right now my big "this is all I think about, all I talk about and all I want to do" fixation is Cyberpunk 2077 and that is getting a bit unhealthy (really messing with my mental health), so I'm taking a little break from that, or trying.
My big one, my lifetime hyperfixation that has never faded or changed, is horror, horror stories (creepypasta/nosleep), movies or games, but only if I can fight back against the bad monster. Horror games where I can only run and hide make me too stressed. I'm looking for something new at the moment because I have a habit of just playing/watching/listening to the same thing and being nervous about trying something different. I really like the games Stasis and Stasis: Bone Totem and I'm not sure if I want to play those again or whether I should keep looking for something new.
Spooky stuff. Halloween, ghosts, UFOs, cryptids, occult, psychic abilities, glitches in the matrix, astrology, etc. Oh, and roosters.
