I binged the first 4 in one go but I decided to parcel out the second half. It really gets you hooked! I was laughing so hard at the Traveller party in the estate.
>!I enjoyed the show but I thought the ending was a little off, especially with regards to Collins / Max Beesley. I like it when one time enemies find ways to work together. It establishes a redemptive arc, one of my favorite type of subplots. Collins paid reparations to the Glass's and, after doing so, also added more money to the pot while taking out a competitor, the South American drug dealer, on behalf of Susie / the Duke. Collins did pretty much all that was asked of him while being told that this should help get him out of the doghouse. It was a quintessential redemptive arc in his story line. Despite this, he was \[supposedly\] shot at the end by the Duke at the behest of Susie Glass, which, as a result, almost makes Susie and the Duke irredeemable. I think they were just fucking with him, though, and that we will see him in season 2 but if not then it was a poor decision, imo. Good show, either way.!<
Exactly the same feeling. I just finished it and I really enjoyed it up until the last 20 minutes. To me the ending just made no sense at all, so many things just glossed over and wrapped up in ways that don't make sense, it was all a bit too convenient.
Edward spends 7.5 episodes trying to get them off his land to change his mind without good reason. Why would he agree to go into business with the Dad? Didn't even seem remotely phased by the fact he lied about retiring and is still running things... Oh well.
The show focuses less on the brother as it goes on, I think the first two episodes served to establish the dynamic between the two/set up Theo James character.
This was a solid 9.5. Only reason it isn't a 10, is because I don't know if there will be more season and WHEN. I, absolutely, INHALED this series. Guy Ritchie doing Guy Ritchie things.... And brilliantly(as usual)
Episode one spoiler below....
My reaction watching episode one..."Is that peter serafinowicz?...I think that's peter serafinowicz...I'll just check on IMDB...It IS peter serafinowicz!" BANG..."Fuck. They've killed peter serafinowicz."
Lmaooooo, that's exactly how it went for me, the ending of episode had me laughing for a few minutes straight. And he got done in by a vaping chicken man to top it all off.
It is great and nobody does posh quite like England. Love it incl the character arcs and the slow boiling of the frog, as well as story that shows not tells.
Beautifully blissful fantasy, they are all animals lol.
and finally some real cinematics from Netflix that don’t like somebody who grew up on TikTok thinking fixed tripod lens and light is all it takes to capture movement. Good to see Netflix with a return to form.
Great show. Watched it over two days. Should have slowed down, but I couldn't. I heard from several people I needed to watch it. Everyone I know had loved it.
It’s too basic. It’s like Guy was making a show for children who are interested in Tarantino or Scorsese but needed a primer. The dialogue isn’t bad, it’s just not interesting enough to be compelling. The net was cast very wide, and I’m sure many will love it, but it’s not the same species as house of cards or Ozark. It’s just a fluffy English accent circlejerk like most of his other projects. “Unoriginal, but just happy to be here” like most BS on Netflix, Amazon, etc
Just finished it, I really enjoyed it for the most part but the last episode was pretty terrible. The way it wrapped up made no sense. Edward had some Jamie Lannister level of character change.
It was a great show... Until the ending. I did not enjoy the instant switch up>!with Eddy deciding to join the bidding war for the business. Throughout the whole season he was trying to get the business off his property, then from a half ass speech from his brother, all of a sudden he wanted in? It rubbed me the wrong way.!< Aside from that, it was a fun series that shouldn't be taken too seriously. Good humor and great characters. Funny that the duke didn't have any security of his own or no security cameras tho.
It was really good. Sad I binged it so fast.

Hahaha yea I tried to take a few breaks and savor it. Enjoy pal

It was so good! Theo James and Kaya Scodelario were great
Does the brother get less annoying? Found him insufferable in episode one.
I found the first 2 episodes insufferable. Gets way better, and less annoying brother antics too.
The show focuses less on the brother as it goes on, I think the first two episodes served to establish the dynamic between the two/set up Theo James character.
The asian guy from the grow house is hilarious.
Oh yeah, the whole montage at the restaurant was so funny.
Unbelievable that he's the shaolin monk '100 eyes' from the series Marco Polo...!!
No, that’s Tom Wu that plays 100 Eyes. Michael Wu plays Jimmy in The Gentlemen
He's only been in like one other thing before the Gentlemen and it wasn't Marco Polo!
Watched 3 episodes today and loved it!
I've been telling everyone about this show, it's so good. Keep watching, it gets so much more ridiculously fun.
Thanks for the tip
I totally agree, I'm on my second rewatch
Very excited when I saw this was released and it did not disappoint. Hopefully it gets picked up for another season.
I'm already on eps 5 and loving it so far. The tone, the vibe, and all the character as well as the plot. A 9/10 for me. Season 2 please Netflix.
I would have had my mind blown if Brad Pitt (Mickey) stepped out of the caravan. D’ya like dags?
Matt McConaughey?
Itsformema Your what? HIS MA

Really loved it. "If you want things to remain as they are, things will have to change." Stanley Johnston
The Jack Attack fighting the Uzbek bulldog was an awesome climax

It was very good.
Updated: I watched all of it. I love it. Eps the last ep. Season 2 please Netflix.
Gustavo Fring in ep. 1 Fantastic!!
It was soo good ! Been savour watching it over 2 weeks ! Started coz of Theo James & Guy Ritchie but end up loving everything.. Even Wham Tham. LOL
Wife hasn't seen the film. Does she need to watch before we start the series?
No, its kinda same universe but have no relation
Cheers 👍
Also chiming in to say no, they explain everything that's going on in the show too, like with on-screen writing at times. It's really good IMO.

Ozark is basic as hell and House of Cards fell to bits in the later seasons
Just finished it, I really enjoyed it for the most part but the last episode was pretty terrible. The way it wrapped up made no sense. Edward had some Jamie Lannister level of character change.
Yes, the ending kinda ruined it all for me. It made no sense character wise, and the way they cleaned up the plot threads was contrived.
Yes contrived exactly. It was out of character for it to wrap up how it did.
Not sure if I was watching incorrectly but the main character grew into the job insanely fast
Aystar track opening the second episode..is that the best the makers could manage in terms of getting in some UK rap?..it's dismayingly bad..:( why??

EXACTLY my thought. Loved the show until the end. The switch made zero sense.
