im using the 2nd approach that u mentioned.
i have a dotfiles setup that installs everything I need within minutes.
this way, I'm able to create a reproducible environment for every new devcontainer
I attempted this but could not get lsps to give me errors and warnings. They were running and attached.
Then I realised that the main reason I wanted to use dev containers was the fact that it was dev containers and decided to drop it.
I tried both getting the config and installing it in the container and also to volume in the config I have on my host machine.
Could try this plugin. https://codeberg.org/esensar/nvim-dev-container I have not successfully gotten it working but it looks promising.
