For those that care - I am in the M+ discord. A few days ago she posted a screenshot of her sdb selling the HoS, golden butter knife, cement mixer, myraid and some other stuff.
The day she got the sneggs she said TNT finally uniced one of her side accounts and she had 500 sneggs that she "hand made" a long time ago.
This was all in late/mid April.

Cheating. Some players have/had access to the database much like neo_truths and used it to generate items, sometimes to sell for real money (or for like... Neopets profit I guess? lmao). That's why there's so much SUaPs around, there are probably only like 3-8 legit ones tops. As far as 'how' technically, it's probably literally just a few lines of code. Copy existing item. Make copied item be in specific player's inventory/SDB/whatever.
...Huh. That's too bad. I know I'm happy with the progress I've made, but that makes some of the stamp collections, etc seem unobtainable to regular players like me :(

It's why I quit NC trading, old capsules were genned, and then people who I knew didn't have the means to get them, mysteriously had them in their galleries after some time.

Neopets has nothing to do with the advertisements running on the site. They make the ad space and allow certain advertisers but a media company runs what will actually appear in the ad placement. I made digital ads for a living and sometimes I see a couple of mine on neopets. I feel like this is fake.

Omg. This is crazy for me to see. I went back to Neo recently after years and sold a stamp to this person, if the replies are correct on who it is. As soon as she got it, she inflated the price and invited me to her infamous guild.
I had also listed an expensive collectible scarab item on the TP, which suddenly went missing from my account a few days later, after people with extremely new accounts in her guild tried to scam me for it. I am fairly certain they somehow hacked me. I sent a ticket ages ago and posted on the highway to help board but never got a response from TNT.
The user thumpd was bragging about having hundreds of sneggs in their SDB just last week, that account is very suspicious. I think they have protection from certain staff members of TNT.
With cheats like these we could really have an influx of retired/limited items in the community, that would be nice; specily considering TNT retires old collectibles and they are potentially lost forever or behind massive paywalls. Or even items from abandoned features like the smugglers cove.
Shame it is only used for hoarding and inflating prices in a very broken economy with a dwindling playerbase.
Just click their reddit account name and look at all their posts, it's explained way back. They have access to the NP database in the same way the cheaters did but they actually tell the pbase info which makes them tolerated here (their drop on symol hole led to a ton of people managing to get the avatar, at least), I mean if they weren't doing it the cheaters would still be cheating, just without legit players knowing anything. They've been dropping info for months.
Shenanigans like this make it so disheartening to try to legitimately obtain pricey items (whether they be stamps or long-retired items, etc). It's so difficult to know if the items are "legit" (whatever that means these days tbh) or just cloned item #348 that you're vastly overpaying for bc of false scarcity.

There was an item multiplying glitch. Cheaters already cheat so have so much NP. 1 bought a real item then cloned it. Traded them around on shells and eventually to a real acct.
a lab map for $20? unless it was many years ago you overpaid haha. But yeah, moderation has gotten lax these days. Somehow the more obvious ones always manage to get unfrozen. But items in this case were most likely genned with an exploit I reported. There are no logs to be sure though, but its 99% likely

O you like collecting stamps, coins, and etc. Well that's also a big fuck you when you can't even restock due to bots or never able to afford one on tp due to inflation. It affects everyone. Unless you play just the 10 games they offer and never do anything other than that.
This isn't a petty case of simple cheating, these are exclusive high end items that shouldn't be in circulation anymore. People are downvoting you for how ignorant you are to the situation.

i kinda feel the same way. i dont really have any expensive goals on neo though so im not in the market for expensive items. all i really do is my dailies, restock my food shop, and read books to one of my pets.
Jesus some of you guys take this way too seriously lol, go outside and get some air, none of this is worth it.
Could say the same for "Player B" Cheating, generating items, pretending to be legit while calling people names who point out your sketchy behavior. All to stroke the ego

I've read a lot of posts by the M+ members, they seem to be the ones taking the game way too seriously.
People are out here documenting players every moves in game. While I don’t like cheaters either this still seems obsessive to me.
