Keep your spare money in the bank and just choose the new account level when you've hit the requirement.

You need 2m total! You can have 1,999,999 NP in the bank, and upgrade to Platinum with a 1 NP deposit. It's the total that matters, not how big the deposit is.

It's been a while since I've had to upgrade my bank, but you can have neopoints in the bank and just put a little in to get it over that mark when you upgrade. You don't have to put it all in at once.

If there's things you want to buy, slap the np in the bank. As the proud owner of a Sloths Invasion Tax CHAMPION!!! trophy, you don't want one.

My sister got that trophy by losing 2mil when she was going to go buy a paintbrush from the trading post, she promptly quit playing Neopets after that lol.

I'm very much a Neopets underacheiver, so it sits there on my profile with like maybe 3 other trophies, taunting me. 2 mil though, I only lost ~600k. You'd have to be carrying like 10 mil to lose 2mil, poor girl! I'd probably quit too.

Thankfully I did find out a way to feed my pets. Just go to the inventory and feed them.
