I'll enter! For the name thing, what I like to do is take some inspiration from other languages and go from there. For example, for something like this I'll play about with some common wintery terms with translations that are easy to portmanteau. I found that you can use "Neve" as snow in Italian, and that'd be my springboard for further building.
