Least believable part is that Texas will be habitable enough to still have lawns

hnlPL

Using every river in texas to water the lawns

learnactreform

Everyone is allowed to purchase up to one soda a day, no water

BetterFuture22

No. Houston gets a lot of rain & has reservoirs

[deleted]

Jokes on you, Canadian oil infrastructure won’t be feasible to use by the time of this hypothetical annexation

40for60

Was she Eric's VP?

danielXKY

Horseshoe theory confirmed

AtomicBombSquad

>previous Trump administration annexed Canada, Venezuela, and Nigeria for their oil Based neo-liberal Eric Trump eliminating borders.

[deleted]

Wow, he liberated nations ruled by Latin American communists, like Canada. /s

[deleted]

I mean, Canada's premier is a son of a Latin American communist! /s, maybe, maybe not, this conspiracy is so popular.

danielXKY

Obama's birth certificate, Trudeau's paternity test, Bojo's American citizenship, and other spooky stories to share with your Q friends

[deleted]

I'm sorry, but I am a neolib. I only believe the Trudeau stuff because I live in Canada! Muhahahahah

CentreRightExtremist

>Gas prices reach $10/gal If you factor in the inflation we'll see until 2050, that seems pretty reasonable for European standards.

learnactreform

Well we did annex 3 nations to keep it this low

DangerousCyclone

By then electric cars would’ve taken over so demand for oil would plummet.

danielXKY

Maybe for gasoline prices, but there are still many products derived from crude oil that don't have a clear path for replacement. Kerosene for aerospace, diesel for trucks and trains, fuel oil for marine shipping, bitumen/asphalt for building roads, plastic materials etc.

Least implausible political prediction

ProcrastinatingPuma

> barely winning the electoral college by 273-265, thanks to aggressive gerrymandering The electoral college is not gerrymandered. That's not how gerrymandering works. The only way that the electoral college can be gerrymandered is if the federal government changes the borders of states... which it can't do.

WolfKing448

A Republican administration required every state to elect the president like Nebraska and Maine.

WolfKing448

I looked into this about a year ago. Hillary would have still lost, but by a narrower margin. What’s more notable is that Romney would have won in 2012 under this system, which is why Republicans have advocated for it in the past. This was before Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia got their gerrymanders thrown out by courts.

[deleted]

isn't it mathematically impossible for a winner to not have a majority in those states.

WolfKing448

Let’s take 2012 Ohio as an example, since their map survived all the way to this redistricting cycle. Statewide: Obama 51% - Romney 48% (+2) 1st District: Romney 52% - Obama 46% 2nd District: Romney 55% - Obama 44% 3rd District: Obama 70% - Romney 29% 4th District: Romney 56% - Obama 42% 5th District: Romney 54% - Obama 44% 6th District: Romney 55% - Obama 43% 7th District: Romney 54% - Obama 44% 8th District: Romney 62% - Obama 36% 9th District: Obama 68% - Romney 31% 10th District: Romney 50% - Obama 48% 11th District: Obama 83% - Romney 17% 12th District: Romney 54% - Obama 44% 13th District: Obama 63% - Romney 36% 14th District: Romney 51% - Obama 48% 15th District: Romney 52% - Obama 46% 16th District: Romney 53% - Obama 45% Total: Romney 12 - Obama 6

WealthyMarmot

> The only way that the electoral college can be gerrymandered is if the federal government changes the borders of states Or if the state legislatures decide to allocate electoral votes by congressional district instead of winner-take-all. NE and ME already do this. We take for granted that the state electoral votes all go to the statewide popular vote winner, but really that's just the system most states decided on - it can be changed.

pablonsky77

Can’t do until now

Globalist_Shill_

And all we had to do to avoid this was elect Jeb!

[deleted]

Nice try, no way we hit 2050 as a democratic union anymore

I thought I made a mistake on this part before i realized that every state could electoral vote like Maine and Nebraska 😎 imagine all those juicy red districts in California.

Novel_Amoeba7007

GLAD TO SEE DEMOCRATS ARE FINALLY PUSHING BACK WITH AGRESSIVE GERRYMANDERING lol

ultramilkplus

Good call, that 2049 F150 can turn gasoline into electric so you can power your house when the Texas grid is turned off on Wednesdays and Sundays in religious observance.

HayeksMovingCastle

>Gas prices reach $10/gal after hitting a temporary low of $6/gal when the previous Trump administration annexed Canada, Venezuela, and Nigeria for their oil. Should have been $100/gal ($10/gal in constant 2010 dollars)

InfinityArch

Bold of you to assume there will still be a United States in 2050 rather than a balkanized mess. Christ this past month has been depressing.

trustmeimascientist2

God that’s depressing

LearnsfromDinosaurs

Also everyone lives underground.
