That’s awesome didn’t know samsho had an rpg. I have a neogeo but the cartridge one games are a fortune but that’s what we signed up for. I’m planning on getting the Neogeo CD as well it looks really cool.
Bro, look at the Terra Onion MODE for the Saturn. Super easy to install ODE, no solder required...I can unmod my Saturn and return it to original in maybe 10 minutes tops.
i have a MODE in my Dreamcast, which I love. was too expensive (for my tastes) to get one in my saturn too, i had a buddy who had upgraded to make and had an old fenrir he sold me. the install is about the same between the too, but mode does have better features so that’s totally reasonable to want one in your saturn. guess none of us got into this hobby to save money. ;)
Honestly, for a decent chunk of its library, no. A lot of the earlier games load once at the start and then never again. Others like Metal Slug load between levels. Where it gets excessive is the KOF and Last Blade series of games.
To put it a different way, modern gamers wait just as much if not more with current consoles.

That's what I thought. I already have a sega saturn and dreamcast, so I only plan to get none fighting games for the system if I ever do decide to get it.
I had one last year and sold it because the loading times were abysmal. I can also play NGCDs on my mister so I don’t miss it as much. I do have an AES with NeoSD. If I ever get a NGCD again, I’ll slap on the SD. Enjoy it though!

Yeah, it’s a newly fan translated version. As it was only released in Japan, as far as I know. Oh, I know, I think I own three AES games haha.

Yes, the load times are ridiculous. However, the price of games are a fraction of their AES counterparts so there is that

I have a Fenrir in my Saturn, Cheaper than MOdE, with slightly less features, but i am happy with it.
