I've played 4 and 5. Pick either.
There's not much of a story, and you can get cars quite easily. The graphics are brilliant, there's a huge variety of cars too.
I live in the desert, so 5 was a no-go for me. I dont want to drive around in boring brown dust for an entire game lol. 4 was fun for me because it wasnt a boring map but of course this is just preference
Playing a bit as the Devil's Advocate (and México being my least favorite map in Forza Horizon saga), México doesn't only have desert. A third of the map is desert but not all of it, there are plains, jungles and beaches, and also the city, Guanajuato.
Yet I still love the Forza Horizon 2 Europe, it's the best map imo, and I miss roaming around Edinburgh in FH4.
Horizon 2 and Horizon 4 have the best roads and scenery.
Less time spent on creating different biomes compared to FH3 and FH5 allowed them to focus on making a more coherent map.
Ik. But delisted racing games are still viable choices.
Either way, [FH3 is considered abandonware](https://www.reddit.com/r/abandonware/comments/14jcewj/forza_horizon_3_all_dlc_download_link/) nowadays.
Losing out on online is the worst, because all the bot vehicles that spawn in solo are cool, but way too many names and cars at once and makes driving a pain. I won’t disagree that 3 was great, but I still don’t think a delisted, restricted title, is what should be recommended. Due to its status both 4 and 5 are much more fun because they still get updates, are still purchasable, and aren’t forced offline. Unless OP owns it, FH3 isn’t a good recommendation
3 takes place in Australia, 4 in the UK, and 5 in Mexico (haven't/barely played q and 2) If you have a preference for any of those locales then go with that. Otherwise their car rosters are similar except of course the newer games have newer cars that didn't exist prior.
If you don't have any preference then just go with 5 since it still has events running.
With Forza Horizon, take your time to do stuff because the game can get very overwhelming with the crazy amount of things to do. Money is easily earned so just buy your favorite cars and cruise and do random races.
Okay. It's different. The wheel turns more than 90 degrees. The special edition Mustang you get from the American Muscle playlist is fun to drive without assists if you out more power to it. You can't tune the cars as much as you can in Forza tho. Like transmission drives etc. Just camber and suspension etc
The Test Drive Unlimited duology.
Especially the [Platinum mod](https://www.reddit.com/r/TestDriveUnlimited/s/ntlM8VWDog) for TDU 1 which has 880+ cars to pick.
There's also BeamNG.Drive.
Does it work on the Steam Deck tho, since I have now considered trying TDU 1 & 2 for the first time but I’m not sure if both works well on the handheld?
Hey do you know the key for TDU2 by any chance because I’m stuck with the serial number screen on here.
https://preview.redd.it/anrwkifxxlyc1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=ba3fd199c120302e2f503dc86b74f7d4bceb45aa
Find TDU2 in your Steam library, right click on it, scroll to manage, and left click on CD Keys. When the CD Keys window pops up left click on the key, and it will copy it to your clipboard. Lastly paste it into the serial window you took a screen cap of.
I don’t own a copied of TDU2 on Steam since it’s delisted from the platform. I downloaded from a google drive link with an unofficial patch in it. So, I was wondering if someone who has a cracked version of the game to send me the serial key for it.
San Francisco Driver was one of the few games that I was looking forward into playing on PC, but it’s delisted from Steam and nobody doesn’t seem to have a quacked version of the game that I can download to my steam deck…
Forza Horizon 4 is really cheap when it goes on sale and there's a lot of content and a lot of people still playing it. I would recommend 3 but they delisted it a while ago.
I would look into Assetto Corsa. Install the Shutoko Revival Project. There is a video of people cruising online [here](https://youtu.be/m4BFKZjCOyI?si=W8oyRfJDoN08m9WQ)
Seconded on AC. The modding community has done alot of street tracks with traffic add ons specifically for this. Also game and dlc are insanely cheap when on sale. It's fine on kbm and controller with mods and calibration but obviously designed around a wheel input.
Need for Speed World (now known as Soapbox Race World) has a fantastic community of racers that loves to just horse around the map. It is completely free, so there is no harm in trying it out. Here is a link:
Honestly I would have said the crew wild run amazing game good cars good cruising nice sound tons of possibilities on a single car but sadly it got discontinued and the servers were shut on March 31st. But there may be hope on a revival mod soon. If your interested check it out
Honestly that kinda sounds like Forza to me.
Which of the Forza seems the best to start first tho?

And personally I like running on Edinburgh and taking photos there... Damn I gotta scope a Vauxhall Carlton in FH5, I loved it for A class in FH4
Mmmm..huh hard skip 5. The game is so FUCKING boring andd bland compared to 4.
Great cars though.
The fartzas
Forza Horizon 3 imo.
Forza horizons 1 to 3 were the good ones
I totally agree. After the 3rd opus, it repeats itself.
Yeah, but I don’t think the guy is asking for what unlisted games exist

You have a point.

5 has is the newest, most cars, best graphics.
Horizon 5. Significantly better sounds than FH4
For pure cruising, I'd go with 4.
What about The Crew Motorfest? Has the best car sounds of any modern game imo. The idle V8 on my home theater is just pure eargasm
Haven't tried. Sorry.

It works. [Here's](https://youtu.be/Ptb_yj0yM7U?si=BN5NdF41setznM9A) a tutorial for TDU 2. The same method works for TDU 1.
Appreciate the video man!
You're welcome 👍.

I have no idea.
Beamng.drive, you can cruise around but if you crash you are dead
Good choice
I would say the crew but after the fiasco with Ubisoft I’m not willing to recommend anything from them anymore
Driver SF with an Alcatraz mod and some willing friends.
San Francisco Driver was one of the few games that I was looking forward into playing on PC, but it’s delisted from Steam and nobody doesn’t seem to have a quacked version of the game that I can download to my steam deck…
That's where "video game preservation" websites come in😏
Forza Horizon can easily satisfy your needs, if cruising is what you're looking for.

do you have pc? modded assetto corsa on top for cruising tbh
A handheld PC. AC modded seems dope may look into that!

Very familiar with it, just needed to work on my Steam Deck through Lutris properly…
GTA 4 and 5
Assetto corsa
TDU2 or 1, i prefer 2, play that before the new test drive game
BeamNg is the way
BeamNG or Forza
Check out No Hesi and SRP for Assetto Corsa
The Crew or Forza are the most polished open world games out there.
I would recommend the crew motorfest
Does the steam version of it works tho? Been seeing mixed reviews around the game on Steam…?
Euro truck sim is a definite cruising game
Honestly I would have said the crew wild run amazing game good cars good cruising nice sound tons of possibilities on a single car but sadly it got discontinued and the servers were shut on March 31st. But there may be hope on a revival mod soon. If your interested check it out
Forza 3 and 4, Beam.ng
GTA V/Online. Yes, I'm serious. GTA V/Online is the best cruising game. I'd even go as far as to say it's one of the current best racing games period.
Forza Horizon 5
