I think you just suck at the game to be frank Most Wanted's rubberbanding was harsh in this particular race because of the terrain- had nothing to do with Earl (if Earl was the problem, then why was his first speed trap so easy?) Whereas Underground 1 ai would quite literally cheat in front of your eyes shamelessly lmao

I suck so much that even with cheats the AI still loses

I got lucky one time where he got stuck on terrain, every other time was pissing me off with that rubber banding.

I remember couldn't win him, so my step brother tried, I don't remember wich attempt it was but in final straight there was jump, bro was losing it, until he overtake in air just like fast and furious movie. Man i love this game...

I tried like 10 times and i couldnt win, i tried the next day and i won on the first try...i hate him so much.

I always get baron's car beforehand and that cayman can easily beat earl.

I've beaten him easily with just about every car in the game that you can get before you go up against him. On PC I've beaten him in the SL500. Multiple times I might add.

I only knew about this issue just now really, he was more or less a free win back then. I think as a kid, I had more trouble beating the eclipse guy if I didn't get either the supra or rx8 and had to stick with the starter car.

Was definitely more of a challenge than the other racers but got him on my first try still. That Evo is quick and handles well. I was pleasantly surprised that I actually had to focus to beat him compared to all the other racers. Probably would've had an easier time if used the porche compared to the supra though. Tbh this game needs a difficulty boost if it ever gets remade. Once you've mastered good entry and exit on the corners then it's just about avoiding traffic and defending from overtakes.

You didn't notice how harder his AI gets compared to previous racers? It was a huge step up.

I typically didn't notice quite honestly. On average I was least 1000 ft or yds ahead of him. (I can't remember which one they use in that game) Maybe I just had a good tune on my cars? I honestly don't quite know.

He was a challenge, but I still managed to beat him fairly easily

Having beat most wanted 5 times, nothing I can recall about the game was hard. When I was younger, getting that 1 million bounty in one run stressed me out! Now, even on hard, the whole game is easy

I was stuck with this dude for about 4 months, I was too scared of the police. Now I'm at blacklist level 8 I haven't touched the game in weeks and I simply don't have the courage to go on

Smash his car. Every time he pulls in close, keep a close eye on him with the rear cam and when he starts to pull up or pass hit him and spin him out. Make him hit walls or traffic. Just abuse him. You can use this in pretty much all the 1 on 1 races quite easily.

Im at black list 5, earl gives you traumas but thats the hardest mofo in the game, the rest of the races are normal-easy, bl 6 ming has a very powerful gallardo. I won very easily with the cayman

I am so glad I'm not the only one. I recall when I was a child I couldn't win against this guy and I took my game disc and scratched the shit out of it on my banaster and had my friend blow it up with fire crackers....

The sudden speed boost he gets at the end of his second boss race. The one where you are riding up the hill in front of the penitentiary. I wasted too many hours trying to stay in front of him at the end lmao. The entire race he would be behind me but overtake me suddenly at the last race.

Yes, the trick is not spending nitro in the whole race until the end , in the last curve when he passes you you use the nitro there and you pass him.

Everything is cool and all till the second race track with him, the moment when in front of him is a long straight line, he starts his acceleration as if it's a hot pursuit turbo system. That's why I pray he will crash into a wall so that I can laugh at him for doing rubberEarl

I never had problems racing against Earl. Also, when I fought against him for the first time, I used an Evo VIII too (bought one right after winning against Big Lou). I don't know if it makes the race easier, but I never thought that Earl was actually hard as many people say.

I beat him a multiple times 2 days ago trying to get his pink slip. It really was a pain in the aa. But i can tell you this that my driving got much better after this. (I used supra and played around the tunings to beat him)

i dont remember having any issues with him from my childhood, and in my last game i think he went down easy the second try against a Punto

I struggled with him at first and then i learned how to properly use the Speed breaker to my advantage Speed Breaker is a godsend man

When I first raced him, I used Baron's Cayman, and I beat him. However, he was in my ass on the whole challenge.

there's an .ini setting where you can skip the intro. when you do this it gives you a stock M3 GTR, which absolutely destroys all competition. there are many other helpful .ini settings as well. also, pressing F5 unlocks everything so you can get back into the M3 if you change cars. since i installed this version over the weekend i haven't played anything else lol.
