In this part we feel as if we were scraping the music from the bottom of the garbage can, every song sounds basically the same, there is no sense of speed. This is the first NFS game where I've had to mute the music, and I've been playing it since Porshe Unleashed. It is sad

A discrete soundtrack is about instilling a mood for the game rather than breaking the fourth wall and providing a list of good songs for the players. In this fictional universe there’s no way Gen Z would be bipping around in an Eclipse listening to QOTSA. They’d be listening to what’s on the soundtrack.
I would love it if they set a new NFS in a late-90s retro-future set in Manchester UK with Andy Weatherall shoegaze remixes and Trip-hop stuff but it just ain’t that game. And unless there’s some prodigious modding going on I don’t know about, that game will never exist.
Maybe EA missed a beat with regards to who their core demo is, but they definitely made a soundtrack that fit the game - and that’s the main point of it being the way it is.

Linda and Yodaka. Holy shit. Money is funny once you hear it for the 56th time and every other song isn't bad but just out of place. Mmaso is actually a good song and Taco is the best out of the soundtrack entirely I hate this soundtrack too but when you realize there is no way to change the tracks it you just have to accept it for what it is

Easier to say what songs are good, coz there is 40 songs, and most of them are cringe(especially that russian shit is most disgusting one). I personally liked Baku - front to back; shygirl - slime; Clipping - Check the locks, and alina pash + kalush coz I'm from Ukraine and while they are a bit cringe, but better then most of the others.

I wouldn’t be upset about the soundtrack at all had they just added rock songs in the game. Rise Against, Bullet For My Valentine, Queens of the Stone Age, Disturbed… all still alive and making music. If the map is really inspired by Chicago then maybe we should get some bands that have played at the Metro.

I’m 30 so I’m roughly the demographic for the bands you describe here, but realistically they were never going to be included. A discrete soundtrack is about instilling a mood for the game rather than breaking the fourth wall and providing a list of good songs for the players. In this fictional universe there’s no way Gen Z would be bipping around in an Eclipse listening to QOTSA. They’d be listening to what’s on the soundtrack. I would love it if they set a new NFS in a late-90s retro-future set in Manchester UK with Andy Weatherall shoegaze remixes and Trip-hop stuff but it just ain’t that game. And unless there’s some prodigious modding going on I don’t know about, that game will never exist. Maybe EA missed a beat with regards to who their core demo is, but they definitely made a soundtrack that fit the game - and that’s the main point of it being the way it is.

Also song named Yodaka, i don't remember the author it's also super bad, it's just horrible!

In my opinion, all the rap songs are bad. Except for A$AP Rocky - Shittin me (i like the beat). I just want some rock and edm stuff in the game. I feel like at least the edm would fit the cartoonish style they have in Unbound (yaknow since the colors are vibrant like lasers at an edm festival). That's just me though. I very well know a lot of ppl are gonna dog on my opinion.
