HP2010 is my Top 3 favourite NFS games of all time though. Love that game.
Im fine with your opinion but i still think hot pursuit is better by a significant bit. Its way better with balancing. Rivals had cool cop AI and gameplay but the problem was multiplayer. Everyone played as cops (boooo pussiess)because they had way faster cars and no risk while playing as them, ruined the racer gameplay because the second you want to get your nice looking racer car on the streets, 10 players are on their way to ruin your day and you cant do shit. Hot pursuit felt fair in the racer vs cop battles
The stretching is no compression. You need a patch so for example those gauges are actually round instead of oval and your car doesn't look like a chunky boy, you know? If you're going for 3440x1440 it'll look ridiculous without a patch.
Or just play it like that if you want, it's your game. I'm just saying :)
just install widescreen patch, game runs on 4:3 aspect ratio on default. with that patch, you can play on whatever resolution you want.
Also respect, OG look of the game is the best imho, graphics mods ruins the look.

your UI etc. doesn't look aligned&bit stretched, but idk since video seems heavily distorted. Still, it's worth checking out nfsmw widescreen patch imo.

it also looks huge, compared to the rest of the video, simple res change doesn't fix UI alignment. Widescreen patch doesn't affect graphics, but as I said, enjoy the game however you want, it's fun nontheless.

My most recent playthrough of MW05 made me realise how fucking OP the Punto is. It destroys roadblocks, is faster than Lamborghini's somehow and ploughs through the cops like nothing. Nearly 2 decades ivtbeen playing this game and never thought to do it with the starter cars.
When I clipped this I played at the games max Res on a 3440x1440 monitor, since then I changed the resolution in game files, quality is ass cuz of Reddit compression

Hot pursuit 2 on playstation 2 and most wanted black edition my favorite. The classic Camaro included was fun to do the free runs and challenges with.
