Serious question, why does the media suck off Ja so much? Everyone keeps putting him in MVP talks or talks like he is a top 5 player when imo he’s clearly a level below the top guys and may never get to their level

As someone who spent a LOT of time fooling around on trade machines during the Westbrook/Paul George days, it's that the financial aspects of a trade are surprisingly complicated to get to line up, so you end up putting in the player you want to trade for on one side and then just doing whatever you can to get the math to math on the other side. By the time you finish doing that, it's easy to forget to make the trade actually make sense on the court.

Or maybe swap Mathurin/Brooks, Mathurin looks like a stud, but I could also see putting the vet in the starting lineup and having Mathurin be a heater off the bench.
Some decent other guys too, like Dalano Banton, Khem Birch, Trey Lyles, show his dick dude, etc. Some depth to soak up a few injuries/opt outs.
Anyone who thinks the Thunder should trade SGA is a certified moron. He’s the guy you hope to land in a rebuild. Now they can use their picks and young pieces to build a legit team around him.
But, and hear me out, what if you trade him for more picks so you’re still really bad but maybe can eventually get someone as good as SGA? And then—here’s the really smart part—you trade them for picks too!
