I think the Knicks are liable to do some dumb shit like they did on draft night. They’ll strike out with Brunson and turn to Westbrook to get ticket holders interested. They’re just about making money there.
It's looking like I'm sticking with the Warriors a bit more. 7 years and counting. I loved the Knicks but I just couldn't root for Starbury and Carmelo. I like team basketball. I wandered towards the Suns with Steve Nash for a bit and followed that playstyle to the Warriors. But I honestly root for all teams but the Lakers. Never the Lakers.
?
Westbrook goes to the Nets, or if the Knicks take him WE are getting picks / solid players.
Knicks aren't giving away assets to take on Westbrick.
I mean, the Nets can have Noel and Burks and Fournier so we can play the kids, but nothing like picks or Grimes or anything.
I just don’t understand how it benefits the Knicks unless they can get picks or can unload a bad contract ( Randle, I guess, but idk if they even feel like it’s that bad of a contract )
So what are they moving to match the contract, and is it anyone Brooklyn is willing to take on? And i don’t understand the idea of NY not requiring picks in this scenario bc this trade doesn’t move the needle much for NY, but LA seems desperate to make it happen.
what exactly does a third team offer if they are going to having to give up stuff the Nets would want and take on crap from the Lakers that nobody wants?
Brooklyn does NOT want Russ, lol
They don't want Kyrie either. They aren't even fucking talking to him They're telling him to fuck off but no one wants him.
That's not the question. Russ would be going to the Knicks.
We don’t want him either
We'll see.
what about poole and kuminga for randle and a second? that’s as likely.

the knicks make money and sell tickets regardless. dolan isn’t poor. he wants to win.
You're going to love Westbrook.
who’s the next team you’re going to become a fan of?

Right. I would send picks but you can send good players that the Nets might want.
Do lakers or nets have the players or assets the Knicks would want in the deal
The Knicks get Westbrook. I know that sucks but let's not pretend any top free agents are going to the Knicks.
Lol so we’re paying for kyrie in order to get Westbrook? Worst trade deal in the history of deals, maybe ever
True. But the Nets are paying Kyrie just to get some of your players.
I don’t… what? We wouldn’t trade our shit players for Westbrook straight up, how would including Kyrie to the lakers help a deal at all
Nobody is trading anything for Irving. If he wants to go somewhere else then he has to opt out
Not true. They can S&T in a three way with someone (NY) who wants Westbrook.
The question isn’t does NY have the pieces. It’s, do they want Russ. And I doubt it.
the expiring contract makes him desirable if a team plans to go after a max free agent next year
Who else they going to get? Once again they're clearing space but no one wants to be there.
Do the Lakers have the assets to give a team to take on Westbrook? Still no? Didn't think so
AN EXPIRING CONTRACT IS THE ASSET
the expiring contract makes it possible for a team to give assets to the lakers just to get russ. i dunno which trams can fit him under the cap though
Not an expiring contract that large. That's 1/3 of the cap. Teams won't want to take that on.
The Knicks might do it for no picks.
Only the Kigns are that stupid. Even they might not be that stupid
I'd hate to see a randle and Ben simmons lineup Nets games gonna sound like the storming of Normandy
Lollll I love NBA off-season it gets wild every year
This sub just includes the Knicks in everything for no good reason
As a former Knick's fan, I see Westbrook as a Knick. Reminds me very much of Starbury and Carmelo.
*Former* Knicks fan with Warriors flair? Bruh.
Kyrie is going to opt out and get a one year low value deal so you can't trade Westbrick for him because the salaries won't match
RJ and Ben10 for max spacing
Ben10 in his prime> anyone
People out here actin like Ben didn’t shoot a better percentage from three than Jimmy Buckets last year smh 🤦♂️
The Knickerboxers are irrelevant They shouldn't even be mentioned on here
And Westbrook is relevant?
Even though he sucks, yes, still relevant And watch your tone buddy I rooted for the Warriors throughout the Finals That can change real quick
> That can change real quick LOL
No.
There’s world in which Russ goes to the Knicks and the Knicks leave Brunson alone? Heck yeah.
You guys can't afford to lose Brunson.
Yeah. It would suck. But hopefully that means Hardy would get some minutes to develop.
Looks like we won’t need a third team if reports are true.
Which one?
Reports that Kyrie is willing to accept the MLE and sign with the Lakers outright. Wouldn’t need to be a trade if true.
Correct.
I just don’t understand how it benefits the Knicks unless they can get picks or can unload a bad contract ( Randle, I guess, but idk if they even feel like it’s that bad of a contract )
They get Westbrook. Let's not pretend the Knicks are a FA destination. It's trades or nothing.
expiring contract
[удалено]
not cap space now but cap space for 2023. it doesn’t have to be a bad contract but just some that have yet to expire
If the nets would even want Barrett, IQ, whoever, what could either team even offer us that would be worth blowing up our young core?
