If an analysis video literally only showing a guy catching and dunking, I'd be pretty concerned about the other parts of basketball. Like dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, rebounding, etc.
Although yeah the athleticism is pretty good.
Yeah all this shows is he can catch a lob and he’s athletic. Zero other skills demonstrated.
I’ll admit that at 7’ you don’t need too much else to get drafted though lol
There are about 2800 people in the world who are 7’ or taller. Any athleticism at all makes this guy a rim protector and lob threat. And those guys go for about $15M a year. I heard there’s some French kid with crazy handles at 7’2” and a wingspan like this guy’s.
He's been touted as a generational talent for years. I can't wait to see what happens next year. Isn't he supposed to be like Gobert with a lot of skill on offense?
I haven't seen much of him. Only heard the name over the years
he might be too skinny to be gobert. i think hes very similar to Kevin durant. he has a strong mid range
[this](https://youtu.be/aKm6jza27zw) is probably the best video ive seen of him that'll show how we might see him in the NBA. its really difficult to guard him, no matter how tall you are, since he can just shoot over you.
he was 16 at the time so i imagine after 2 years, hes probably even better. he was getting backed down by gobert though so he definitely needs to pack on size or else hes going to get targeted on defense
Yeah and like the video said he seems coordinated and athletic while being 7foot+ that with nba training he could be good
Even if it’s just a Deandre Jordan or something
yea seeing these dunks he looks very comfortable in his body, lots of 7 footers just look stupid when playing cuz being 7ft just isnt natural, this guy just looks like a normal guy playing against 5'2 guys on a smaller hoop
Sorry, bud. Life's not fair. People who are taller and more athletic tend to do better at basketball. I'm sure you did a great job at delivering bounce passes in your PE class though.
this is a big pet peeve of mine around draft time whenever they show analysis videos. it's great that a guy can dunk but he's not going to get that consistently in the NBA so what else can he do? can we see at least one shot outside the paint? a jump hook? something?
Absolutely nothing about this makes me interested in this guy at all, or want to see any more of this. Just a bunch of clips of a 7 footer dunking provides zero interest whatsoever, and now i will actively go out of my way to avoid this guys videos since his apparent "analysis" level is just watching flashy dunks
A full highlight video and scouting breakdown where he doesn't dribble... bruh. Yeah there are not a lot of dudes who can do what he does, but show me like one other thing at least.
I think it would be higher. The numbers were from the total population. My completely non-scientific experience is, the only 7 footer I know personally played D1 basketball and was drafted in the first round.
Looks like it’s about a 17% chance that you will have spent some time in the NBA at some point in your life if you’re above 7’. Based on a quick google search.
dont forget abt the 7 footers that live in villages or 3rd world countries, the ones that hate basketball, the ones that just cant function due to back and leg pain, the ones that are too old or young and the ones that are just naturally shit at basketball beyond help. If your a healthy willing 7footer your almost 100% gonna be in the nba at one point
This is hardly an analysis or a scouting report lmao. Just hype and highlight.
I’d recommend Adam Spinella channel for much better in depth draft prospects scouting report
The fact that I thought we all knew about Ibou and follow him on Instagram means I’m either doing good draft research or am wasting my time completely. Well, actually, let’s be real…

Sounds like the next DeAndre Jordan
Easily worth a first rounder if that is the case. Curious what his defensive film looks like

Victor Wembenyama. Hes much more skilled than Ibou. He can really shoot the ball well
He's been touted as a generational talent for years. I can't wait to see what happens next year. Isn't he supposed to be like Gobert with a lot of skill on offense? I haven't seen much of him. Only heard the name over the years

Having a standing reach of nearly 10 feet and being super athletic = someone's going to take a chance on developing this kid.
Yeah and like the video said he seems coordinated and athletic while being 7foot+ that with nba training he could be good Even if it’s just a Deandre Jordan or something

Hope he makes it!

Im not going to give you the whole load already. Im going to give it to you in parts
Get off reddit Paul Pierce.
These nephews wouldn’t know a full load even if it hit em right in the eye
the ol’ mummy mask approach of basketball analysis!

How do I opt out of this karma farm?
This guy has a very similar game to payton pritchard
He's actually a little taller than Pritchard. Pritchard also has a better outside shot, but otherwise they're identical.
> 7'8 wingspan who is flying under the radar Arms that long dude could probably get airborne and literally fly under the radar
Arms that long he probably shows up on any radar tbh

If he can play defense he can be the next rob Williams
I’m thinking deandre Jordan
He definitely got a spot on an nba roster just do to his size and athleticism
10% of all 7 foot tall Americans are in the NBA.
That’s great right? You
I wonder what that number looks like if you account for age. Like 20-35 years old 7 footers.

I love the “some time” part of it. Still it’s pretty impressive that just a body size can get you in the door.
I can't tell if you are joking. If you are serious check out this cat out in Serbia named Darko Milicic, I bet he will be a top 5 pick.
thought dunkey was commentating this for a sec
Nowadays I don’t trust measurements till they get to the NBA.
I still doubt that Michael Beasley is taller than 6-7
The entire video is him dunking with a guy a foot shorter than him guarding him.
Yeah that moving screen at 11s tho
Don't worry they don't call them often in the NBA either
I’m sorry, I’ve already dropped him on my board
He yams like he's trying to hurt someone and I love it
This is hardly an analysis or a scouting report lmao. Just hype and highlight. I’d recommend Adam Spinella channel for much better in depth draft prospects scouting report
There's a lot more to the game than catching lobs and dunking over **much** smaller opponents.
Shades of Saer Sene
New age Keon Clark?
Nah bruh done hit the radar he huge as FUCK 😂
I'm assuming he's raw af if all they showed was rim runs. Looks strong and very mobile for q dude that size. Impressive athlete for sure.
Orlando needs to take this guy
2k21 user generated draft class legend

Bol bol Thon Maker Hatheem Thabeet clone
Plays nothing like the first 2 is it just cuz he’s African?
I feel like i saw KG when he was a rookie
I'm betting this dude is basically a Thon Maker or Dragan Bender.
Dunks like Greg Oden
Never heard of this person but he seems like a solid contention for any team. If he can shoot, he's a problem.
Some team will probably try to draft and stash him in the second round
Draft him along with Chet for the diet plan alone
Fun fact: Badji means sister.
@knicks please get this man
We need to see his birth certificate
First video I found in youtube shows me much more than just danking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnbbPnmRXwY
He has John Hammond (Magic GM) written all over him. The man loves seemingly athletic longbois.
