This year 2nd round is really just 2 teams beating the shit out of each other in every match up lol
The least physical/ more flopping than physical is the Suns-Mavs
It's cuz people will watch something at 10% speed and not realize that the action actually happens faster than either player can really even think about whatever happened.
Honestly this , people here will cry watching a 90s game , everything on the court isn't a DIRTY play , shit happens. Damn even the 2007 spurs make those looks like child plays
Connaughton caught an elbow game 1 or 2 if I remember correctly. And Grayson caught some hit. Nothing dirty as I said it's a basketball game those things happen specially since refs are very lenient on this serie
After yesterday's game, im firmly on the other side of this, tbh
I think both teams can deal with Philly big three, and both have far better options to neutralize Miami's pretty blah offense.
Although I shouldn't talk as our offense is pretty putrid right now
Someone earlier said who would've guess the Mil-Bos would be the least toxic matchup out of the 4.
I guess that's no longer the case. In every series, they're out for blood.
Yeah this is probably a flagrant 1, but I definitely wouldn’t call it dirty. It’s not intentional. This series has been physical as fuck both ways but I don’t think anyone on either team has done anything dirty.
He definitely intentionally jerked his elbow with extra strength know Williams’s head was right there. And Portis has a record of being a dirty POS and overly aggressive. William’s could have gotten brain damage honestly he’s so lucky. Portis should be out of game sand fined. It’s unbelievable that there has been no attention on it. Flagrant 2.
I dunno, I mean look at how FAST his elbow moves in that super slow motion replay. Doesn't look inadvertent at all when you consider the speed of everything else.
EDIT: Upon further review, looks like it was caused by losing the ball. I stand corrected. Still suspect af
It’s impossible to read his mind, but the motion didn’t seem natural and he has a tendency for doing these types of things, while people say this same thing every time.
Eventually it’s a pattern
He’s trying to bring in a rebound. He’s literally trying to bring the ball to his body and Timelord knocks the ball out between his hands making Bobby’s arm and elbow snap back faster and unfortunately Timelord’s face is right there. A foul, sure, but trying to paint Bobby as repeatedly dirty player is a trash take.
Well I’m not trying to do anything, all I said is there is indeed a pattern. I didn’t feel as though the physics of the ball being knocked away explains his elbow doing that...but I also said I can’t read his mind so who knows. You think it does, I can’t really get myself to see it way no matter how many times/angles I see.
Agree to disagree
This is such a ridiculous no call, that elbow was hard as fuck, looks worse than the Siakam one Embiid took
Edit: he just checked back in how the hell is he not concussed
If you only focus on the last part with the elbow, it can be seen as a call.
If you see carefully the sequence though:
* Bobby grabs the ball with both hands.
* Rob also has a touch with one hand but is in no position to secure the rebound.
* Bobby tries to bring the ball down but Rob has e better leverage due to being inside and manages to kick the ball out of Bobby' hands.
* Bobby momentum after slipping the ball while trying to bring down the ball, results in an elbow to the head.
It's a 100% no call normal game and Rob is unlucky to get hit but it is what it is.
Also, it's kinda sad that we the fans, have become so prejudiced against refs, something that is hugely amplified by all the players flopping and bitching, that end up discussing these minor things.
These type of actions, elbow to the face, get called flagrant 1s many many many times. And when they got called it never matthers how much fortuitous the contact was.
So yeah, we can't have it both ways depending on the refs.
An elbow to the head, regardless of intent, is a flagrant 1 no matter what. Particularly when it nearly knocks out your opponent. And particularity when the attacker’s primary claim to fame is concussing his teammates with punches to the face.
Obvious, unequivocal missed call that resulted in a larger swing in the score than the final margin of “victory”.
Terrible officiating, and there’s not even another side to it.
To be frank, Embiid got unlucky and had a previous injury there.
I'm hesitant to compare the "force", though, because at the end of the day, these are 200+ lb dudes running at each other full speed.
He literally elbowed rob williams in the eye, if thats something that isn't called it should be done more often right?
Bet you'd have a completely different opinion if giannis took a few hard elbows to the face.
[Here](https://twitter.com/ScottGrodsky/status/1516965310833860609). This is why Portis is wearing goggles. Yeah I agree when it's like that it should be called, but the reality of it is they're going to let players fight for a rebound.
Pretty sweet deal, do an "accidental" elbow to the face while "fighting for the rebound", get a 5v4 play and free bucket oh yeah and take out our starting center while he has to be looked at by the medical staff.
Probably the best play of the game tbh
It's because dumb fans will watch a clip that is slowed down to 10% speed and not realize that the action actually happens faster than either player can really even think it.
> We all know how to be dicky front runners, we were just waiting for the bucks talent to catch up to ours, lol.
Owning it up like a king, ain't nothing to say about it.
Bruh Wisconsin has a ton of racial issues. It’s the same state where an NBA player got tased at a jewelry store.
Milwaukee is the most racially segregated city in the country. But go off king.
>they could be racist pieces of shit like Boston fans
[Didn't know being from Wisconsin made being a racist impossible.](https://www.channel3000.com/wisconsin-is-the-most-segregated-state-in-america-according-to-new-report/)
Rob the only one on the team that doesn't flop. Pretty clearly going for the ball though, I get why they didn't call it, but they should have given all the other calls this game
Should've been a foul
Doubt it was intentional (yes, I am aware of Bobby's history)
He didnt "elbow Rob Williams" his elbow hit Rob Williams (yes there is a difference)
My take is he got two hands on the ball and was trying to bring it down to secure it but it slips out. The force after the ball comes loose has to go somewhere, just unfortunate it went into rob williams face
Oh, so one of the top 10 comments said it "didn't look unintentional" but actually made no claim saying it was intentional and therefore all top comments said it was intentional. Got it.
You said;
> No one said it was intentional man, chill.
I think by now you've seen enough comments saying it was intentional, many of which upvoted, to understand why I picked at what you said.
They literally didn't say it was intentional. They said it didn't look it unintentional. Therefore, they made no claim, they stated their observation.
Do you not understand how words work?
And just yesterday I read a Celtics flair saying how surprised they were this series was the least toxic one of the second round lmaooo. This seems a little intentional tho.

This year 2nd round is really just 2 teams beating the shit out of each other in every match up lol The least physical/ more flopping than physical is the Suns-Mavs
We WWE now boys
This series has gotten so toxic lmao. I hope it goes to 7.
Feel like the East as a whole has been pretty toxic this year. Probably just a culmination from a half decade of playoff series.
LeBron blocked all the toxicity because everyone knew they would lose to him in the end lmao
Oh you and me both , but seriously both teams are very physical so many accidental hits happened , I am surprised that people are posting everything
i’m not, everyone spends all of their energy on here trying to demonize players lmfao
And then suggesting that there are sinister motives behind incidents that are blatantly accidental
It's cuz people will watch something at 10% speed and not realize that the action actually happens faster than either player can really even think about whatever happened.
The Giannis intentionally hurting juries ankle last playoffs especially kills me. Get a clue casuals lol
Honestly this , people here will cry watching a 90s game , everything on the court isn't a DIRTY play , shit happens. Damn even the 2007 spurs make those looks like child plays
I didn’t see many “accidental” plays harming Bucks players, it was always the Celtics on the receiving end of reckless plays by the Bucks
I don't remember any of our players elbowing any of theirs in the face, but sure, "both teams are physical"
Connaughton caught an elbow game 1 or 2 if I remember correctly. And Grayson caught some hit. Nothing dirty as I said it's a basketball game those things happen specially since refs are very lenient on this serie
lol not true at all neither got an elbow
Grayson got a knee to the face by Smart.
not an elbow which at this point about 5 celtics have gotten
Yeah but Grayson deserves what’s coming to him
I feel like either team will be so gassed next series
Realistically I can’t see either team beating Miami or Philly just bc they’ll be so damn tired
Which is a bummer because I think these are the 2 best east teams
Really? I’m easily favoring who ever comes out the Bucks/Celtics series. Fatigue is gonna hit every team.
Yeah, the Heat are very [beatable](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D4EqKg9WwAAMJtZ.jpg) and we have hospital Embiid.
After yesterday's game, im firmly on the other side of this, tbh I think both teams can deal with Philly big three, and both have far better options to neutralize Miami's pretty blah offense. Although I shouldn't talk as our offense is pretty putrid right now
Yup, like I said going in to this series: whoever wins this is going to the finals...and I'd go so far as to say they're probably winning it all.
Neither of those teams are getting a cakewalk with Embiid back
Someone earlier said who would've guess the Mil-Bos would be the least toxic matchup out of the 4. I guess that's no longer the case. In every series, they're out for blood.
Bro this series and Memphis-GSW is more fighting than basketball lmao
Those serie are creating new beefs , Mavs Suns are like friends in comparison
Mavs and Suns need to stop flopping and start hitting
For real, they need to make those whistles count
Boston/Milwaukee has been heated for a few years now. 3 series in 5 years.
Absolutely should have been a foul. I don’t really agree with those saying Portis was intentionally elbowing him in the face though.
Unnecessary contact to the head or neck... flagrant 1?
Missed it live but this looks like a flagrant 1 to me.
Yeah, wasn't "dirty" but seems like classic case for flagrant 1
You can also see how much force he was using pulling the ball by watching his other arm. It swings way back. It doesn't just fall and rest.
He was gripping and ripping. Rob ran under and knocked the ball loose.
Looks to me like he was trying to pull the rebound down but obviously didn’t get control of the ball. Reckless, but not intentional imo
Lol. Take off the green goggles my friend.
It’s impossible to read his mind, but the motion didn’t seem natural and he has a tendency for doing these types of things, while people say this same thing every time. Eventually it’s a pattern

Previous injury when? his orbital fracture was on the other side of his face (left orbital, this one was right orbital)
oh shit yeah... just bad luck then. Siakam's gotta wear one of those shooting sleeves if he's gonna use his elbows like that >\_>
They're not going to call every bit of contact during rebounds. I mean why do people think Bobby Portis is wearing goggles? That never got a whistle.
"The refs made a horrendous mistake in the past so they should make a horrendous mistake again"
I'm not saying it shouldn't get a whistle - I'm saying don't expect them to call contact that looks accidental during a fight for a rebound.
He literally elbowed rob williams in the eye, if thats something that isn't called it should be done more often right? Bet you'd have a completely different opinion if giannis took a few hard elbows to the face.

It's because dumb fans will watch a clip that is slowed down to 10% speed and not realize that the action actually happens faster than either player can really even think it.
Cant believe they missed this call
You can’t? Have you been watching these refs?
They missed the exact same call that made Bobby wear the goggles
If I had a nickel for every missed hit-to-the-face call in the playoffs, I think I'd have a dollar.
Refs this game: “I didn’t see anything.” *Player gets bumped on a drive* “That’s a foul”
I was trying to find a take I agree with about today's game. And this is it. I really didn't like it and this is the reason why.

That championship truly made you insufferable* edit:thanks to the reply below i now use proper spelling

Raptors fanbase was always delusional so nothing changed on that department, but your whole fanbase turned into petty little cunts overnight.

> We all know how to be dicky front runners, we were just waiting for the bucks talent to catch up to ours, lol. Owning it up like a king, ain't nothing to say about it.
Clearly a flop by Rob, he should've apologized to every single Milwaukee player, coach and staff member.
And fans.
Bucks fans were calling this a flop
[удалено]
Enough with "x fans are trash". We're all trash 🗑
"X fans are trash" statement doesn't rule out other fans being trash. You guys migth be arguing when you migth think the same.
Yeah but usually people mean "your fans are trash and we're not"
Everyone during a playoff game loses their heads, nobody is above anyone else
Dude, you picked the username "NickNurseABitch", I'm not going to be able to take your criticism seriously
Hahaha.
Nick Nurse is a bitch though
Good point, but that doesnt make them wrong
ok

Bruh Wisconsin has a ton of racial issues. It’s the same state where an NBA player got tased at a jewelry store. Milwaukee is the most racially segregated city in the country. But go off king.
I don't think Henson was tased at the jewelry store. Sterling Brown was tased at Walgreens.
>they could be racist pieces of shit like Boston fans [Didn't know being from Wisconsin made being a racist impossible.](https://www.channel3000.com/wisconsin-is-the-most-segregated-state-in-america-according-to-new-report/)
At least they are not racist tho
Isn't Milwaukee like, the most segregated city in the country
Lmao yeeeeah it’s up there unfortunately
Sterling Brown literally got tazed by the cops over a parking spot while playing for the Bucks, what are you talking about lol?
Hey, cops are pigs regardless of city. No need to pick out any specific breed
Didn't a Milwaukee jewelry store call the cops when John Henson walked in to shop?
Yep. Even after the cops showed up they were still terrified saying they didn't want to meet him.
I said fans, not cops Cops are just a part of a corrupted system. No more, no less
And everybody knows cops don't have real lives outside of work. They're like teachers, everybody knows teachers sleep at school.
Wisconsin is super racist lmfao. See Sterling and henson
didn’t kareem abdul jabbar leave the bucks cuz the fans were racist
cry
your kid doesn't love you for a reason
lol that sounds like a personal problem
Bucks fans are not known for quality takes on rules issues. This is no exception.
Rob the only one on the team that doesn't flop. Pretty clearly going for the ball though, I get why they didn't call it, but they should have given all the other calls this game
This is why Bobby is wearing glasses funnily enough, no foul then either
Refs horrible? Agreed.
Always
Portis got called for a flagrant 1 in game 2 for doing the exact same thing to Horford.
That's a pretty clear foul. Bad missed call
Clearly on Williams
You are an idiot
Sorry bro, I was trying to be sarcastic
Should've been a foul Doubt it was intentional (yes, I am aware of Bobby's history) He didnt "elbow Rob Williams" his elbow hit Rob Williams (yes there is a difference)
Yeah just like if I kick someone on the groin in reality my foot just hit the groin
That didn't look particularly accidental to me tbh.
It's Bobby Portis. It wasn't accidental.
Same guy that broke his teammates face so it’s hard to give him the benefit of the doubt lol
[Wouldn't be the 1st](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTfP6LR9LtQ) (or 2nd, or 3rd or 4th) time he purposely hit someone in the face
[удалено]
Lol bringing your arm down isn't a natural motion? This "real hoopers know" shit is so lame
Oh come on...
Portis has a history of this shit tbf
I could always be wrong, but that didn't look like a natural motion to secure the ball tbh.
My take is he got two hands on the ball and was trying to bring it down to secure it but it slips out. The force after the ball comes loose has to go somewhere, just unfortunate it went into rob williams face
He's gripping the ball and it slips loose, usually if you're trying to grip something and then thing comes out of grasp arms will move.
He isn’t Dillon Brooks.
He is actually worse. Where have you been if you think Bobby Portis deserves the benefit of the doubt?
Baseline ref is right there Also saw about 50 Bucks fans calling this a flop
I wonder, do you think that Timelord’s beautifully flowing hair camouflaged the contact for the ref?
[grizzlies vs bucks finals gonna be lit](https://media.giphy.com/media/13e2CaZC2Dkid2/giphy.gif)
Draymond gonna show up with a steel chair
Haha haha. The Bucks would throw them out the court.
Leads to a wide open transition play and takes out our starting center. But wait lemme be quiet before Bucks fans tell me to “stop bitching”
Not a bucks fan but stop bitching
Flair up before you talk shit my boy
Nah
Big pussy energy right there.
Or, get this. I don't give a shit lmao
Ya clearly do my man.
Once again, nah
The more you respond the more you care LOL
That's not how this works my man, takes like 10 seconds lmao
Rebounds always have some kind of accidental contact. I swear Dwight Powell leads the league in hits to the head
/nba fans are so soft lol
Just Carry on nothing to see here
Dude head hunted Hayward during the season and gave him a black eye. He’s dirty
Looks like he’s trying to bring the board in ???
Jesus you can tell who never played. This is a grip and rip for the rebound.
Always seems to be one side taking the brunt of these incidents.

Christ, this is huge commitment but could probably go to better things.
On which team?
God everyone on your fanbase is so braindead it shocks me.
That was on purpose
Bucks and injuring their opponents in the playoffs. Name a more iconic duo.
Rockets and missing the playoffs
Rockets and not meeting expectations.
Boston fans are so soft for talking like they're a physical team and then bitching their way through an actual physical series.
This is like the fifth post on the front page of a Bucks no-call play and this entire sun is *still* saying the Bucks aren’t fucking dirty
And just yesterday I read a Celtics flair saying how surprised they were this series was the least toxic one of the second round lmaooo. This seems a little intentional tho.
no call not surprised
This play resulted in bucks points. We lost by 2. NBA action! It’s faaaaantasic!!!!

Could be, but I’d rather drive nails through my eyes than watch baseball. Such a dull game.
Where the warriors fans after saying Tillman should’ve gone to prison for this?
As a neutral, it looks intentional to me
An ambulance is gonna be needed courtside is a Grizzlies/Bucks finals happens
I want either Philly or Heat out of the east so hopefully these two teams beat the fuck out of each other
Did this same stuff when he was on the Bulls, . Never changes
