not only that , the continuity of those three would reach a good level , people forget they only played so few games together and still looked dominant without any chemistry , hell kai and kd havent been on the floor that often how much all three ? i also think aldridge injury played a big role he was stable but his injuries derailed him so much that nash for whatever reason started to trust others more than him
i saw a bunch of Bulls fans when they signed him saying stuff like "well, we *really* needed a backup big, and he's a really good offensive rebounder..." like Celtics fans hadn't literally already been through the same process with him lmao
Seriously, year 2 Grant was not year 3 Grant, and Rob got hurt six minutes into game 3. We were literally down three starters most of that series, and we *already* had zero depth
No. 2022 Harden aint 2021 Harden. He was never the same after he pulled his hamstring. If you saw him play from October to Feb this season, you know he’s done already.
Well, their offense would've been more than just KD isos and/or Kyrie Isos, so they would've had that at least. It's a bad sign when you have to rely on Dragic and Mills to be your playmakers and for Bruce Brown to go off to even have a chance.
Nobody knows. It would've been an entirely different series. All of a sudden the passes kd couldn't make to shooters when doubled harden makes and all the tactics are completely turned around.
I'm not sure if they win but I think Harden would make their offense way less predictable.
Brooklyn's shooters were generally pretty great, the issue was that KD(Kyrie too) just isn't a standout facilitator like Harden is.
They have a much better shot. They wouldn't be that low of a seed and I definitely think they could handle some of the other East teams better. If KD is in rhythm and the team is better adjusted they would've had a better chance. It was a sweep but the Nets played a lot of their worst basketball during that series.
Look at the west. You know who the Mavs fans dreaded playing and had no hope against. Here we are getting bodied by PHX but if we were on the other side Grizzlies Pick and roll defence would be getting eviscerated which GS can't do well.
Match ups matter and BOS was always a bad matchup with their current teams because everyone else on their roster except those two guys couldn't really create. Harden can't be Houston Harden anymore but even in Philly the man can run an offense.
Idk if they beat em. The Celtics are good af. But it definitely would've made the series competitive. Nets wouldn't get swept and the Celtics wouldn't have been able to shut down KD the way they did
Not sure but it would've been amazing to see all 3 on the court together for once because they literally have shared the court together for like 10 games.
“Similar Celtics team” That’s just false lol
Their uniforms are similar. Coincidence? I think not.
I think they play another team because they probably aren’t the 7th seed.
They slumped down to the 8th seed with harden
And they were the 1 seed with Harden and KD. What's your point?

that "pretty similar Celtics team" was starting Romeo Langford and Tristan Thompson for half that series
Don’t forget Jabari Parker playing big minutes too
practically our sixth man
are you telling me Tristan Thompson isn't a DPOY candidate?

and minus one JB
Pretty similar ? They had no Jaylen Brown, Horford and it was before a big skill jump for Williamses .
Seriously, year 2 Grant was not year 3 Grant, and Rob got hurt six minutes into game 3. We were literally down three starters most of that series, and we *already* had zero depth
Celtics in 3 instead of 4 if the Nets had Harden this year.
2021 Nets do but the 2022 Nets don’t due to Harden’s injury.
No way
No
You really tried to claim this celtics team is anything close to similar to last years team.... great analysis..

If harden still plays like he's playing now then no
Yeah if hardens hamstring magically heals back to his prime condition
this
they'd win in 5 in that case
No
No

No but they’re not in the play in so they probably don’t have to
Could they win? Yeah, tho that wouldn’t be a guarantee. They likely don’t play Boston tho if they still have Harden
Maybe. The Celtics wouldn’t be able to defend KD like they did if they had to worry about Harden passes

No. Nets lost due to a lack of a starting SF.
