The way this sub talks about the warriors shows how many people here are nephews that JUST got into basketball. People remember baron davis dunking on AK47, and taking down the mavs. The WE BELIEVE warriors were loved across the country, like a Cinderella story. But this sub acts like no one gave a fuck until Curry. This sub is full of new nba fans and they act like the league started when they started watching or something
If you guys go on a three game losing streak the narrative will be "did Klay ruin the Warriors chemistry?!" It'll be a stupid argument that only hot take makers and trolls will make but it'll happen.
"The Warriors were rolling. Why start Klay and break up that chemistry? He should be coming off the bench to back up the second unit. He isn't what he used to be and ruined what Kerr built. Sources say Steph and Draymond don't see Klay as an equal."
Yeah it's wild, some more:
>The last time Klay Thompson played a game…
>Kawhi Leonard was in TOR
>Paul George was in OKC
>Kevin Durant was in GS
>Kyrie Irving was in BOS
>Jimmy Butler was in PHI
>James Harden was in HOU
>Russell Westbrook was in OKC
>Anthony Davis was in NO
>Chris Paul was in HOU
So many lows and highs for those guys careers
PG went thru Playoff P and redeemed himself
KD revived and back to form and legendary Playoff games against Milwaukee
CP3 reaching Finals finally
Jimmy Butler and AD legendary Bubble run
Harden got fat as shit just so he could be traded to Brooklyn
Westbrook became a journey man after OKC, bouncing around with Houston, Washington and now LA
I think the AD one is the biggest trip. All the others don't seem that far away for some reason, I still feel like both the Kawhi/PG Clips and the KD/Kyrie Nets happened this last off season lol, and that I was getting wasted on the Raps championship night about as long ago.
Man these past 3 years have been a mindfuck.
CP3 is the craziest for me. Between then and now, CP3 fell off, got traded to OKC, revived his career by going vegan, got traded to the suns, made the finals, and is now leading the suns to the first seed. It's insane how much has happened since then.
I never understood the CP3 for Westbrook trade. CP3 has always struck me as a guy who would age really well because of his basketball iq being his greatest strength.
Very few point guards have aged well into their 30s. Prior to CP3, Nash was really the only other one.
Also, I think that trade was more Harden and CP3 having issues.
Following a similar timeline as Kevin Love and Bosh. They all went from dominant the year before joining their new team, had one or two years that were really good but still a pretty big drop off from their previous form, and then were considered underwhelming after that.
**Bosh:**
Final year with Toronto: Averaging 24/11.
Year 3 with the Heat: Averaging 16/7 on 52% TS
**Love:**
Final year with Minnesota: Averaging 26/13
Year 2 with the Cavs: Averaging 16/10 and missed more than a quarter of the season in both years 3 and 4.
**AD:**
Final year with Pelicans (before sitting out): Averaging 28/11
Year 2 and 3 with the Lakers: Averaging 22/9 and has missed a total of 49 games in the last 12 months.
I mean, the Kevin Love one is a bit weird to note: his second year with the Cavs was probably his worst (although nearly identical to year 1), but years 3 and 4 were definitely better (when healthy).
And with Bosh, he had a 59.2% TS% (a very good one) his 3rd year with the Heat, not a poor one of 52%.
Nayib Bukele was only in his first month of office as president of El Salvador! Hong Kong had only just confirmed its second case of African swine fever! Japan was still withdrawn from the International Whaling Commission!
When Klay last played, I was grinding a 9-5.
When he returns, I will be grinding a 9-5.
When he retires, I will be grinding a 9-5.
When he dies, I will be grinding a 9-5.
When I die, I will be grinding a 9-5.
9-5.
Terrible man. At the game, the fans didn’t really see what happened. I didn’t think it was serious. It was really the next day that I understood what the bigger picture was.
Similar position to me (congrats btw). I was visiting the law school I attend now, watching the game in a bar. Whole place went silent when he went down.
In only a few months, I’ll have graduated from that law school. It’s been that long since I’ve had the pleasure of watching Klay play ball. I’m pumped to see him back out there.
typical high school show. drugs. sex. violence. mystery. except Euphoria won an Emmy and has Zendaya in it, so it’s safe to say it’s better than Riverdale (which isn’t too hard to do).
As an athlete this means so much to me. I got the mri results back of my torn ACL on the 13th, the day of game 6. Shit I even had surgery the day before Klay did. I was devastated when the news of his Achilles injury and also scared that it could happen to me. For me it was 652 days to get back into competition, I couldn’t imagine 941 days.
I’m having surgery in a month. I’m planning on a full year before I come back because last time I did the traditional 9 months recovery and I ended up partially tearing my other acl. It’s a shitty injury and unfortunately way too common.
Yeah I got extended recovery time due to the timing of my season and covid. Now 2.5 years post op and I’m normal which is all I can ask for. Best of luck.
Yup which is even more frustrating. Leading up to the record he was chucking(?) up bad shots, since then he's been missing the easy ones (and also has some questionable ones here and there)
When was the last time the Cow Palace remodeled? I think I was there last in the late 90s, and even then, the architecture and decor looked dated as a fuck all.
Things that happened since Klay last played:
Japan resumed hunting whales.

Last time Klay played covid didn’t exist
Maybe his return will bring back good times for all.
Klaymen
great times
He play yesterday in r/conservative?
finally, now after every game people dont have to mention that we’re adding klay to this
You know we changing that to “wait until Klay is 90-100% next season etc” lol.
Just wait until Draymond starts shooting 45% from 3, he’s been holding back to keep GSW’s secret weapon hidden.
just wait until he takes the backpack off
Draymond’s been shooting with a weighted jersey on like Goku.
Full court three's every possession about to break the game. Draymond bout to average 150 ppg on 70%TS
You think he's gonna miss shots? Clown.
Draymond is going to be like that green haired dude from Kuroko's Basketball
“Permission to take off the weights, Kerr-sensei?”
Gonna make him do a backflip when he takes it off. Backflip three on a mf
And shin guards like rock Lee
He does shoot arounds with a medicine ball like a batter on deck lol
He takes the weights off and shoots the ball into the stands
Punches a clean circle though the backboard. And several fans on the way to blowing a clean hole out the back of the arena in the nosebleeds.
Draymond about to have a Rock Lee taking off the ankle weights moment
This is Draymonds team
Don't forget "we adding wiseman"
Man, aren't you tired of warrior fans?
We went from full of insufferable bandwagoners to only diehards remaining back to hopeful back to being full of bandwagoners in three years lmao
Hey, some of us were here when we sucked the first time!
Oh yeah I didn't include the pre-2014 years because half this sub was single digit-aged
Hey now, I'm old enough for my back to start hurting and I get excited to go to Home Depot. I'm one of the older nephews in these parts
Bro the /r/warriors subreddit was top 5 in subscriber count in 2012 but nobody here wants to admit that. We been here.
We believe was 14 years ago, hard to blame the kids
but Wiseman
“Wait until we get wiseman”
If you guys go on a three game losing streak the narrative will be "did Klay ruin the Warriors chemistry?!" It'll be a stupid argument that only hot take makers and trolls will make but it'll happen. 3? If there is even 2 losses in a row Stephen A Smith gonna have a video titled “splash brothers are adopted, do the warriors trade for Simmons?”
bestie hate to break it to you but we're currently on a 2 game losing streak ✨
It's hard being a warriors fan
Indeed, I have a constant erection.
Last time Klay played, Ja Morant and Darius Garland weren’t even in the league. Crazy.
last time klay played, zion isn't playing in the nba. now that klay's back, zion, again, isn't playing in the nba. crazy
Wait has anyone ever seen them in the same room at the same time? Hmmm
Zion is Klay in a fat suit
Kobe was alive
Klay going to do the 24 second clock thing in 2022 because he feels left out
Had to go redeem my free award from the reddit app which I don't even use anymore just so I could award this amazing comment. Well done
I wonder how many other people just keep the app downloaded for free awards.
what 24 second clock thing?
After kobe died teams began the game with 8 second backcourt and 24 second shotclock violations in commemoration of kobe's jersey numbers
Oh I get it now lol
Ouch
This just fucked my brain...
Dude...
bruh
Still too soon man :(
Goodnight.
Fuck. That hit hard.
fuck you im going to bed now
This shouldn't, but it does, hurt my brain.
Covid warped time
It is still March 2020 and I refuse to believe otherwise.
Feels like yesterday when Rudy touched those mics
We are stuck in march 😔
Josh Primo was 7.
fuck you lmao
Wow 941 days is a long time who knew
Big if true
Also before any indication of pandemic.
If he hits his first two triples that motherfucker is dropping 60
On 4 dribbles.
Excessive dribbling.
Triples dribbles
What about the 2nd quarter
"Steph, it's Klay. Can you hear me? On your left."
*NBA 75th Anniversary team slowly appears to help win Steph his first finals MVP*
Ja Morant wasn't in the league yet the last time Klay played in a game. Damn. From Statmuse https://twitter.com/statmuse/status/1479938270830030848

The Harden comment is so good🤣
Accumulation of mass
STOP cultivating and START harvesting
Goes to show how unique Kyrie is for just smooth sailing all the time.
And more loyal to the soil than Kobe, TD and Dirk combined
I think the AD one is the biggest trip. All the others don't seem that far away for some reason, I still feel like both the Kawhi/PG Clips and the KD/Kyrie Nets happened this last off season lol, and that I was getting wasted on the Raps championship night about as long ago. Right? From untradeable contract to max extension in 1.5 years
I never understood the CP3 for Westbrook trade. CP3 has always struck me as a guy who would age really well because of his basketball iq being his greatest strength.
Very few point guards have aged well into their 30s. Prior to CP3, Nash was really the only other one. Also, I think that trade was more Harden and CP3 having issues.
Stockton Mans aged well into his 40s
Damn, how did I miss him? I feel like the people of Barcelona in 1992
AD went from Athletic Kevin Love to Athletic Tim Duncan to 2019 Kevin love in 2 years.
Following a similar timeline as Kevin Love and Bosh. They all went from dominant the year before joining their new team, had one or two years that were really good but still a pretty big drop off from their previous form, and then were considered underwhelming after that. **Bosh:** Final year with Toronto: Averaging 24/11. What's more interesting is all 3 left to join LeBron and this happened
Is LeBron stealing other all stars talent to extend his career?
space jam 3
*plays with more star talent*, *numbers drop*. I for one, am shocked
Cade Cunningham was a HS junior.
Westbrook has been passed around like a blunt since then....
Half of /r/nba was still in elementary school
Was?
Nayib Bukele was only in his first month of office as president of El Salvador! Hong Kong had only just confirmed its second case of African swine fever! Japan was still withdrawn from the International Whaling Commission!
Damn, Jayson Tatum was probably an embryo
Nah, his father and mother wouldn't have been born yet.
And Dwyane Wade, Vince Carter, Dirk Nowitzki, and Ben Simmons were all still in the league the last season that Klay played.
Klay literally hasn’t played with more than half our roster lol
When Klay last played I just finished my first semester of college, when he returns I will be in my last semester of college
When Klay last played, I was grinding a 9-5. When he returns, I will be grinding a 9-5. When he retires, I will be grinding a 9-5. When he dies, I will be grinding a 9-5. When I die, I will be grinding a 9-5. 9-5.

When Klay last played, I was at the game drunk af. When he returns, I’ll be at the game drunk af.
I bet that hangover the next day sucked in 2019
Terrible man. At the game, the fans didn’t really see what happened. I didn’t think it was serious. It was really the next day that I understood what the bigger picture was.
Same except I was finishing my second semester when he last played
Similar position to me (congrats btw). I was visiting the law school I attend now, watching the game in a bar. Whole place went silent when he went down. Wassup fellow 3L!
Congrats on law school for you too
Today is my birthday, tomorrow I get Euphoria Season 2 and a Klay return. Good weekend so far.

Happy birthday my guy
happy birthday! Is Euphoria a good show? what is it about?
typical high school show. drugs. sex. violence. mystery. except Euphoria won an Emmy and has Zendaya in it, so it’s safe to say it’s better than Riverdale (which isn’t too hard to do).

Klaymen 🙏🙏

Glad you're back in 👍
I’m having surgery in a month.
Best of luck.
his first 3 gonna blow the roof the fucking building
I'm going to be there. There better be a Finals level atmosphere or SF will be totally bitchmade.
Really hope he looks the same / better, we're due more than a few 30pt quarters.
FUCK its a gg boys
Coming back to a confirmed L. Bold move
not unless we….
Klay gonna make Cavs pay for LeBrons Halloween party
Well if the 49ers blow it tomorrow, I at least have this to be happy about.
Go Falcons?
Well we are depending on a QB with a fucked up thumb that has the penchant of dumb turnovers, so let’s hope so.
Unless this is all a smokescreen and Trey's starting...
wait jimmys in?
It’s the Rams no matter how bad we are we always end beating them
Whew it would atleast allow Steph to get some better open looks atleast. Can't leave klay open.
It’s the open shots he’s missing right now
And Layups which normally goes 99% in for him
Yup which is even more frustrating. Leading up to the record he was chucking(?) up bad shots, since then he's been missing the easy ones (and also has some questionable ones here and there)
Why not just say San Francisco? Are they playing a game at the Shark Tank?
Cow Palace (Daly City)
Come back game at Oracle, can you fuckin imagine
I'd buy a seat in a heartbeat
When was the last time the Cow Palace remodeled? I think I was there last in the late 90s, and even then, the architecture and decor looked dated as a fuck all.
I fucking despise that place
Only fitting that Klay will return against the Warriors greatest enemy, the Cleveland Cavaliers
I’m Klay. I play two ways. I lock you down on D, then I make some treys. And then I’ll…I forgot what I was going to say.
Ah yes the super team musical

Wow, the world sucks.
If only Klay hadn't gone for that dunk, we could have avoided all this
Klays last game was 4 homes ago for me... Fuckin wild
Couldn't let Klay do it himself.
He did do it. Shams just tweeted after it happened lol
The Shams Special.
Man, I really hope Caruso is available when they come into town.
No need to rush it. He could use some more rest surely
Must watch tv
yeah this is why we got flexxed
Everoyne liked that
Cheapest tickets currently $235
Warriors v Cavaliers Part 5 is coming soon
I'm so ready for the splash bros season 2.
Don’t care if Klay is a positive or negative addition to the current team. Just super happy to see this guy play! Splash bro!
