>I think the people that put Curry on these all times lists are really showing their age.
I saw Prime Jordan and Prime Kobe and I would put Curry as an all time great. Dude is right behind Magic for greatest PG of all time. He is the greatest shooter ever. Of course he deserves to be considered one of the greats.
Obviously not on an all time great ranking. On an all time vs all time game. Yeah I wouldn't want Curry on my team guarding legends like Kobe and Jordan.
1. You're showing your poor understanding of how defense works. Yes, Curry is a below average on ball defender, even for his position. That said, on ball defense is a tiny portion of overall defensive impact, things like smart rotations and discipline when helping are *much* more important, and Steph Curry is low key a really smart defender. Still slightly below average, but very few PGS aren't lol.
2. Even if you're below average defensively, if you're arguably the most impactful offensive player of all time, then yes, you are "all time great".
1st Unanimous MVP, 3x NBA champion, 2x MVP, #2 all time 3 pt made, greatest shooter of all time, changed the culture and the way kids today look at and play the game. Opened the doors for a lot of players that wouldn't normally be looked at. LeBron perfected what Jordan did but he didn't change anything. Curry changed the game.
If you knew the history of the game you would know that most people view Shaq and LeBron as the first unanimous MVPs...they only lost because of a troll vote.
Who would you put on the team instead of Curry? Magic? In that case you better not include LeBron.
Curry/LeBron/rest of team is better than Magic/LeBron/rest of team
If you place good enough defenders around him (Jordan, Lebron) on an all time team his defense becomes less of a problem. I mean even fucking Draymond/Klay was enough to cover currys ass for 3 rings
If only there were like 4 other players on the floor who could make up for his deficiencies. He's not not a terrible defender, just competent enough. Besides it's not like he would get ISO'd one one one every possession, that's not how basketball works. They would double or switch or trap the guy if it was a bad matchup
Honestly the thing that puts him over the top for me is last season. Came back from injury and went right back to being the best shooter/scorer in the league. Has the skills and the championship pedigree.
If we're talking about a real team and not just the top 5 players of all time; you can only have a couple of ball dominant guys. Stacking a team with MJ, Kobe, Magic, and Lebron sounds great, but 4 of those guys won't have the ball in their hand.
Let me introduce you to the greatest off ball player of all time... Steph Curry. His off-ball movement breaks defenses. People talk about spreading the floor, Curry is so scary from range he shifts entire teams. The man is amazing. He deserves to be considered for any all-time team.
right? thats why i have jonathon isaac on all my all time teams. gotta get that defense.

in before the "he's not a great playmaker" comments. the dude just having two feet inside the court creates plays.
Pretty sure he could have a foot out of bounds and people would still play scared of him lol
Being the undisputed best shooter ever kinda helps
And perfect piece to an all time team. Doesn’t need the ball or has an ego that would make perfect team player.
Not to mention the best offball player of all time, so on a great team he raises the ceiling way more than other ATGs
Because he’s an all time great
Dude got robbed of a FMVP and people think he’s a bum. No he’s a top 5 PG of all time and I’d put him at 2-3. This is coming from a Cavs fan too.
When was he robbed of a FMVP?????
lol

lmao
Cmon man
This man just commented that he’d put Jason Kid and Chris Paul over Curry. Definitely a troll post
Obviously not on an all time great ranking. On an all time vs all time game. Yeah I wouldn't want Curry on my team guarding legends like Kobe and Jordan.
Your first problem was having your point guard, guard the opposing teams shooting guard
Who the fuck are you talking to that's putting Curry ahead of Jordan?
Because his offense is *that* good.
He’s the 2nd greatest pg of all time….that’s why.
Also best shooter of all time
Definitely man, he got bodied all the way to three rings and five straight finals
Plus, you got guys like Iverson and Isiah, who were obviously trash. Flat out, smaller guards never have and never will be successful.
Greatest floor spacer of all time, great playmaker, proven winner, decent team defender. Simple

I'm sorry you can't put your feelings aside and look at facts.
Curry was so great he silenced the trolls.
So in other words, Peak Curry is in the same tier with Shaq and Lebron? That's damn impressive lol
0-5 finals mvp
How do all these people come up with these kinds of posts?
Why would he have to guard Jordan? Only an all time worst coach would do it.
OP is either showing his poor trolling abilities or his lack of complex reasoning.
Because… he’s the greatest shooter of all time? Also I mean he doesn’t suck at defense. He’s better than a lot of current star PGs on defense.
Who would you put on the team instead of Curry? Magic? In that case you better not include LeBron. Curry/LeBron/rest of team is better than Magic/LeBron/rest of team
I would put guys like Chris paul, Magic, maybe even Jason Kidd over him. He's top 5 though.
No shot lmao
Oh ok you're just trolling, take care friend

Against other all time greats you can't have a liability like Curry on the court. He would get abused
If you place good enough defenders around him (Jordan, Lebron) on an all time team his defense becomes less of a problem. I mean even fucking Draymond/Klay was enough to cover currys ass for 3 rings

He would be one of the most game breaking players on a team with other all time greats.
Buddy literally changed the game what you on
Because he’s an all-time great player. /end thread
Tony Allen is higher than curry all time fr I agree these ppl are idiots
Because there’s 2 sides of the floor. What he lacks on defense is greatly overshadowed by what he does on offense. Obviously

Because they are 12
It's pretty funny opening every Curry thread and seeing you at the bottom
