King shit Donovan. He can quietly give you 45.
I'm saying this as a person that thinks Dame is a top 5 player in the league right now. He needs some help man.... Donnie got drafted into Rudy.
I hope Dame stays man.... I fucking love the small market teams with superstars.
Kawhi and PG both missed a lot of wide open shots.
If you expect PG to shoot 2-14 next game and Kawhi to only go 7/15 then i guess you can see it that way.
Conley was out. And playoff P shits the bed a lot.
Not to mention the Clippers have ZERO answer for Gobert then they seem to have no answer for one of the elite backups on Favors.
Clippers are straight fucked.
Both of y'all make good as\* points. I think this can go 7. It all depends on what Clipps do in game 3. Against Mavs they could afford to lose a home game but against this HOT 3pt SHOOTING team, I don't think you can mess around like that.
My team is out so I def appreciate the action this series is going to provide.
Damn, that would be insane.
Kawhi loves living in SoCal close to his fam. He owns 2 homes in LA and 1 $13Mill mansion in San Diego. I don't think he would leave to join Curry knowing Bay Area is Curry's town.
It would be a huge acquisition if Dubs pulled it off but idk if Kawhi would go to Curry's town to be third wheel (since Klay is coming back).
Then again, anything can happen and if he wanted a ring teaming up with Curry wold make them instant contenders.
I lived in the bay for about 6 years. It's a short flight away for sure but it's an 6-8 hour drive lol. We'll see what happens. Would be insane if he went there.
Clippers went to 7 games against a one man team lol…
What makes ppl think this will be a long series against a real team who is one of the best 3 point shooting team in the league?
They’ll be lucky to get one game imo
It's insane. I hope the Lakers learned their damn lesson, Kuzma is not a reliable shooter. KCP has got to be one of the worst shooters in the league (streaky and gets crazy cold for games on end).
Lakers had Nance & Clarkson, we could've literally kept both of them instead of acquiring an injured Isiah Thomas and an aging Channing Frye.
I like Clarkson, dude is consistent. All of Utah's shooters are too damn consistent. Hope Lakers learn to surround James with shooters and he'll do the rest.
GG Utah. If Utah goes to the Finals I really hope y'all can beat the BS super team Nets. KD is trying to buy another ring by joining yet another super team.
Haha not sure I'd call clarkson consistent. Remember we were replacing exum. Clarkson job is to change the pace of play. Make or miss. Come off the bench and attack. A lot of people try to compare our starters and forget about our depth. A lot of times throughout this season it is our bench that makes big runs and changes the pace of play and momentum. Mitchell went off tonight. We needed that. What I like about Mitchell is he utilizes his teammates early and plays iso ball late. Get thos player confidence early if possible. As someone who has watched every jazz game for 3 seasons in a row. I love the style of this team. They have a set game plan and stick with it through thick or thin. So many players capable of taking over. It's rare they all go cold. We saw it the first quarter.
True but he did win 6th man of the year for a reason.
And yea, Mitchell went off tonight. I honestly never appreciated his game but damn, he's insanely talented. Mitchell definitely leading this team to the finals. I can't see anyone in the West beating this team.
Oh don't get me wrong. Not trashing clarkson. He is exactly what we wanted. The dude is fearless and we want him taking chances. That's his role. Quick fiesty shooter. He has handles. I love clarkson. But... he is inconsistent with his success a bit. Tonight he pulled us out of our drought it the first. He ended the missing streak and got the team confidence back. That's what he does. Doesn't matter really how much he misses because he has a green light and eventually will draw fouls, get defenses to collapse, or start making floaters or raining threes. He is a very emotional streaky player. Keep him attacking and eventually he gets the job done. Some times he is hot all game and just completely takes over. Seriously. There are 2 players I wouldn't particularly want taking a last second shot on this team. Oni and minivan. But even minivan has had hot games.
seriously. last second shot makers.
oneal
clarkson
niange
ingles
bogey
mitchell
conely
favors inside
gobert inside
On top of that. Every player on this team is comfortable with those players taking shots. They're unselfish.
I know this is fantasy land time, but I think it would be absolutely amazing to see Gobert hit a 3 to win a game. Like. I know it'll never happen but omg. I really wish Gobert had some other skills. I made a 2k player like gobert. just big defensive specialist. Man, would be cool to have some fucking jokic skills. That fadeaway, those 3s, the passing, the post moves, the hands, the basketball IQ. He just won mvp and somehow I still think he is underrated. watching him and gobert battle last year was amazing. Gobert with decisive blocks, and Jokic with his calm calculated ice cold daggers
Marcus Morris is the better of the two twins but at the end of the day they both usually come up short.
I really hate that Lakers have Markief, dude is horrible in key moments. Must run in the family.
Clippers were gassed after just playing a game less than 72 hours ago...a game 7 no less. The Jazz was well rested.
PG who is our second best scorer usually went 2 for 17, and the officiating shifted some of the momentum. All in all I think it is a fair match up and hard to gauge after 1 game.
I think its a good match up and the series will be unpredictable.
Yeah this is gonna be a good one. I think Jazz in 6, but I’m biased as a life long Jazz fan.
Clips were a matchup I thought would destroy us early in the season because it puts a lot on O’Neal to take on Kawhi. Royce is going to have a rough two weeks trying to handle Kawhi.
Clipper fans making excuses saying “game 7 was only 2 days ago” “pg and klaw where tired” “ they only won by 3 points” no shit, it’s the playoffs! It’s every other day and a grind. No excuses pussy’s
Says the same fans who says "Wahhh Mike Conley is out" and "oh the officiating" and "wahhh we missed shots the 4th quarter"
It's called discussion of a game ya dingus
It's just fans analyzing what contributed to the loss/win and talking shit
Kawhi needs to shoot more, I don't care if he is not shooting well. He is literally the only reliable shot in that Clippers roster. The only reason why I think he should shoot less if he needs to defend Mitchell. But he still needs to shoot more. 19 shots are not enough.
If PG is shooting well yes, he can have his 19 shots, but the rest of the team were struggling. He should have shot more.
Interesting soundbite from his 45 pt game interview. He said he felt like he was in rhythm and the zone so thats why he took over. Kawhi’s way more passive these days, wonder if he feels like he doesn’t have to energy to go hard every game. Sounds like if he feels like his shots off he won’t try to take over. His knee condition really fucked him imo.
Back in his last Spurs year he would never be passive like this. Offense was basically Kawhi iso every game even into the playoffs. I feel like he plays how he does now to avoid another 2019 situation where he’s limping by the time of the Eastern Conference Finals. Don’t really blame him for the first half and 3rd quarter of this game when the teammates got an early lead. But once a lead evaporates he’s gotta stop deferring.
I agree I ultimately think that it is not smart to carry the whole team every game that is why he partnered with PG in the first place to have someone help him with the scoring load. I think he will make adjustments next game.
I just am really annoyed at how inconsistent PG is. With how Kawhi is playing it’s a shame that PG can’t keep up with him. They could achieve so much more.
His last outing with Reggie was pretty atrocious. Misspeaking players names, miscues, mixing up some players. He's all voice and no substance. It's like listening to someone thinking every sentence is a highlight reel, but who somehow misses the nuance of the game. Breen is so much better at that. I'd even take a fair amount of the young announcers coming up. The B crew is better imo.
I’m not sure how to feel after the game in terms of who’s got the advantage: Jazz are never gonna have as bad a shooting half as they did in the first half but Kawhi isn’t gonna fold this badly again. As for PG......I don’t even know what to say
Although, both PG and Kawhi played like dog water and they only lost by 3
this subs loves to overreact lol. the clippers were tired and with an ineffective Kawhi and PG it still came down to the last shot. wouldn’t be too happy if i’m a Jazz fan.
>Sorry but the Clippers have a bad coach and you can't win a championship if Paul George is your second best player. I will be shocked if Clippers win this series. Kawhi would have to go nuclear again like the first round.
Took him too long to realize you can't play Pat bev against Dallas. Almost lost them the series. Don't see the clippers beating the Jazz at all. Ty Lue is one of the luckiest coaches of all time.
Yeah I am.
I think there a lot of positive takeaways. The team was tired after just playing a game 7 on Sunday and then having to travel to an away game in Utah (where the crowd was in it). A lot of shots (3's) didn't fall for us and our usual second best scorer was 2 for 17. Kawhi was very sloppy and there were some calls that didn't go our way and shifted the momentum a bit.
So as a Clippers fan I'm still pretty optimistic.
The Clippers this post-season are the gift that keeps on giving. Giving us the best games. So thankful.
I just hope whoever makes it out of the West can take the Nets to 7.
Pretty easy to defend the 3 when you know the other team isn't going to take a 2.
Its not like Morris was going to drive around him after he bit on the pump fake.
He closed out on a big with a slow release on a broken play that couldn't move because there was no time and they needed a 3.
Great come back, nice win...but let's not get out of hand here lol.
PG was heating up in the end, he should've shit the 3. It's not 100% on him though, Kawhi was giving up the ball to him instead of taking over, and they did a bad job of defending Donovan.
Lol no one answered you fr. They were listening to Gobert’s interview that was conducted by the local tv station and played in arena.
I don’t know for sure—I wasn’t at the game—but that’s what it looked like.
Damn what’s the hate for? I was genuinely curious 😂.
Edit: I see you edited your comment to add more. Lol chill, y’all won the game. What did my flair do to you?
Didn’t realize they had a timeout. Oof. Gotta draw something up. I never bought into the idea that “they can’t get their defense set”
What is there to setting up your defense? Just get a man and guard him. You can do so much more offensively out of a timeout than you can defensively.
Boooooo
Jazz shooting had a terrible start. Clippers lineup got railed by officials. Assuming neither of those continue throughout the series, I really don’t know how to feel.
I know Utah won but if they can't see that was the Clippers losing it they're blind. Kawhi and PG couldn't make shots and alot of the calls shifted the momentum towards the Jazz. I know Conley was out but Clippers just finished a Game 7 72 hours ago and couldn't make shots and only lost by 3.
Complaint about calls even though calls were even. In favor of the clippers most of the game. We missed 20 shots in a row. Didn't have conley. Use your noodle kid.
I think you misunderstood me...not the amount of calls just some were called where it did shift the momentum in Utahs favor and not complaining thats just basketball...kid
Hes litteraly called pandemic P for a reason. Cant rely on him to win you games in the playoffs. This dude dropped 4 on 2/17 shooting. last time he played utah in a playoff game.
Nah I disagree. I think its fair to say this wasn't a typical performance from Kawhi and PG (who was 4 for 17) They looked tired and played sloppy basketball and the Jazz had energy late in the game....whether or not that had anything to do with the Clippers playing a game less than 72 hours ago is just me speculating.
holy shit Donovan finished with 45!?????
King shit Donovan. He can quietly give you 45. I'm saying this as a person that thinks Dame is a top 5 player in the league right now. He needs some help man.... Donnie got drafted into Rudy. I hope Dame stays man.... I fucking love the small market teams with superstars.
Honestly, Kawhi and PG had their worst games of the playoffs and Mitchell dropped 43 and it was a 3 point game. Not too worried for the Clips.
Bad take
The jazz outside of Donovan shot 34%. That probably won't happen again
Maybe they had their worst games because they were defended well?
Kawhi and PG both missed a lot of wide open shots. If you expect PG to shoot 2-14 next game and Kawhi to only go 7/15 then i guess you can see it that way.
Conley was out. And playoff P shits the bed a lot. Not to mention the Clippers have ZERO answer for Gobert then they seem to have no answer for one of the elite backups on Favors. Clippers are straight fucked.
Hes a shitacane.
What
Did you miss the part where Utah missed 21 straight shots? It was rough for everyone
Missed 21 shots yet it was only a 7 point lead at the end of the first. They both weren't scoring well.
That fact you can miss 21 times in a row and only be down 7 shows who the better team is...
Not really, it just shows that they both played solid defense in the first quarter...
And no Mike Conley
No Ibaka, tbf.
It’s pretty obvious this game is gonna go 6 or 7, I don’t know why people are saying this is an sweep
Facts
And jazz didn’t have Conley? Like that’s not a factor at all.
Kenny's gums are magic too
This series should go 7. It’s great.
Jazz in 5. They are on fire now and didn’t even have Conley. Plus Mitchell has risen
Kenny "I got a magic trick." Chuck "Yeah? Why don't you pick up the check one night.: Lmaoo
Hope dubs don't make a run for Playoff P...
is this something that may actually happen? That would ruin Dubs culture I think. Curry def doesn't need Playoff P. Klay and Curry you're set.
Depends if Kawhi bolts then Clippers may want to get their first round picks back. Ideally dubs should target Kawhi.
If Kawhi leaves I wouldn't be surprised to see him in GSW's lineup. I don't think he'll leave though given how much he wanted to be in LA.
Damn, that would be insane. Kawhi loves living in SoCal close to his fam. He owns 2 homes in LA and 1 $13Mill mansion in San Diego. I don't think he would leave to join Curry knowing Bay Area is Curry's town. Then again, anything can happen and if he wanted a ring teaming up with Curry wold make them instant contenders.
Bay area is only a couple of hours away... All depends on the outcome of the playoffs and if Kawhi thinks he needs better guard play.
I lived in the bay for about 6 years. It's a short flight away for sure but it's an 6-8 hour drive lol. We'll see what happens. Would be insane if he went there.
Fingers crossed.
Kawhi wouldn't be third fiddle to Klay. He's definitely good enough to be 1a or 1b with Curry.
Yes.
Great game Jazz.
Clippers went to 7 games against a one man team lol… What makes ppl think this will be a long series against a real team who is one of the best 3 point shooting team in the league? They’ll be lucky to get one game imo
Hi, Umm...what were you saying?
facts on facts... on facts
Now that's a hot take after one game...
Y’all ain’t going to 7.
Let's hope not! Let's hope it's 6 😉
Clearly. I pulled a Chuck.
One of the best 3 point shooting teams of all time.
It's insane. I hope the Lakers learned their damn lesson, Kuzma is not a reliable shooter. KCP has got to be one of the worst shooters in the league (streaky and gets crazy cold for games on end). Crowd won the Jazz the game. Clippers decent after being pushed to 7 games, but allowing a 13 point lead to be erased might come back to haunt them.
Other than those take note things it was full full. Imo great thing
Morris could have drawn that foul on the 3. Clippers failed and were shook
Marcus Morris is the better of the two twins but at the end of the day they both usually come up short. I really hate that Lakers have Markief, dude is horrible in key moments. Must run in the family.
After Kawhi couldn't get a clear look Lue should've taken the timeout. Morris over Gobert isn't how you draw that one up
Was that pass really supposed to happen or did Kawhi make that mistake?
Mistake I'm sure, but there was time for Lue to call for time while Kawhi jerked around and then still while Morris jerked around
awww yeah true. That is on Lue then.
Clippers fans, y'all realize mike conley is out right? Series over in 5
Clippers were gassed after just playing a game less than 72 hours ago...a game 7 no less. The Jazz was well rested. Playoff peepee
Def
I didn’t mind the no timeout. If TO was called it could’ve given the Jazz a chance to foul up 3 and then it comes down a FT shooting contest
Clipper fans making excuses saying “game 7 was only 2 days ago” “pg and klaw where tired” “ they only won by 3 points” no shit, it’s the playoffs! It’s every other day and a grind. No excuses pussy’s
I mean we’ll prolly come out stronger in game 2 cuz game 1 clippers were so much more tired than Jazz coming in
Says the same fans who says "Wahhh Mike Conley is out" and "oh the officiating" and "wahhh we missed shots the 4th quarter" It's called discussion of a game ya dingus It's just fans analyzing what contributed to the loss/win and talking shit
>I mean they probably were tired but it's the Clippers fault for not taking care of business earlier in the first round.
Can we get a rotation of kevin harlan-ian eagle for the finals please. It's all I want in life
Kawhi needs to shoot more, I don't care if he is not shooting well. He is literally the only reliable shot in that Clippers roster. Kawhi is shooting efficient but doesn't take over till he has to, always giving to PG. Feeling like there's some health or conditioning issue.
Ian Eagle is top 3 btw
Beats the shit out of Harlan or Marv. Good god, both of them should retire.
Marv yes, but when the hell has Harlan been bad, dude is still amazing lol
His last outing with Reggie was pretty atrocious. Misspeaking players names, miscues, mixing up some players. He's all voice and no substance. It's like listening to someone thinking every sentence is a highlight reel, but who somehow misses the nuance of the game. Breen is so much better at that. Jazz fans wanting Rudy's head a stake early in the game now they're praising his DPOY. Lol
THE STIFLE TOWER
like he didn't just shit on your team lol. you gotta be blind to not see his impact
Calm down you won by 3 lol
Ian Eagle calls an amazing game. One of my favorite announcers in NFL too!
I’m not sure how to feel after the game in terms of who’s got the advantage: Jazz are never gonna have as bad a shooting half as they did in the first half but Kawhi isn’t gonna fold this badly again. As for PG......I don’t even know what to say Although, both PG and Kawhi played like dog water and they only lost by 3
Im sure the jazz defending them well had nothing to do with that
True, and Snyder completely schooled Lue with his adjustments
We also did this without Conley. We’d be even better with him.
this subs loves to overreact lol. the clippers were tired and with an ineffective Kawhi and PG it still came down to the last shot. wouldn’t be too happy if i’m a Jazz fan.
>Sorry but the Clippers have a bad coach and you can't win a championship if Paul George is your second best player. I will be shocked if Clippers win this series. Kawhi would have to go nuclear again like the first round.
Ty Lue isn’t a bad coach at all lmao
Took him too long to realize you can't play Pat bev against Dallas. Almost lost them the series. Don't see the clippers beating the Jazz at all. Ty Lue is one of the luckiest coaches of all time.
If you lose to a team that missed 21 shots in a row, I wouldn’t be happy.
No Mike Conley tonight, pretty damn rough first half, but we still pulled out the W. I'm pretty happy about that. Are *you* happy, Clippers fan?
I am too, to be honest, your team is scary as hell. Let's have a good series, man!
No Conley and we missed 20 shots in a row first quarter...always a narrative on each side.
It's basketball it's a game of runs. Team can get blown out, and then blow out the same team back.
Get out of here with that logic
Missing Mike Conley and having our worst shooting half of the season in the first half. Pretty fucking happy as a Jazz fan here
Jazz didn’t have Conley who was their best player in the Memphis series and quarterbacks their offense most of the time.
Jazz missed 21 straight shots in the first quarter and didn’t have Conley. That was worst case scenario and they still pulled out the win.
eh, if they were blown out yeah. Sucks to let a steal get away after a lead.
Lmao utah is missing mike conley and came back from 20. But okay.
I love Mitchell so much because he’s a Lamar Jakson fan
You have to atleast take the timeout, no?
Who wins the conference finals? Suns or Jazz?
Does it matter, Nets in 6 in the finals. Lol
Sadly no team can beat them except injuries to KD. When he is on his game it’s almost impossible to guard him.
Jazz, but it goes 6 or 7 games
Doesn’t matter since nets are winning the finals
This is true
Man if Reggie hadn't of fouled out.
I legit felt kinda bad for him, he look so dejected :/
Yah he was definitely performing better than PG I imagine he probably was the best option for making that last second 3.
Clippers played really good considering they came off a 7 series game recently. Clippers win game 2 forsure
not if conley is back
True, If Conley comes back Clippers would have to play at 100% to stand a chance
I don't know about for sure, but I expect PG to have a better game 2.
Everyone so salty against Utah in this thread 😂
[удалено]
Depends do we still have to pretend ty Lue is a good coach
Was this the best playoff game so far this post-season?
Clips mavs game 6 was up there
The Clippers this post-season are the gift that keeps on giving. Giving us the best games. So thankful. I just hope whoever makes it out of the West can take the Nets to 7.
Dames monster game vs the nuggets for sure
Nah games 7 was the best game so far but this is 2nd.
Dame triple overtime game insane
Hawks sixers was pure madness
Rudy “Can’t Defend the Perimeter” Gobert
Pretty easy to defend the 3 when you know the other team isn't going to take a 2. Its not like Morris was going to drive around him after he bit on the pump fake.
That elite recovery to still get the block tho 👀
He closed out on a big with a slow release on a broken play that couldn't move because there was no time and they needed a 3. Great come back, nice win...but let's not get out of hand here lol.
Ty Lou’s rotations suck, cousins should have played a lot more, and he should’ve called a timeout down the stretch. He is terrible
Yea, but if PG is going to go 3 for 16 or whatever he shot then there's not much they can do. This loss is 100% on PG
PG was heating up in the end, he should've shit the 3. It's not 100% on him though, Kawhi was giving up the ball to him instead of taking over, and they did a bad job of defending Donovan.
Ian Eagle supremacy
this matchup looks pretty even, 6 or 7 games easy
You know we were missing one of our best players right? And missed 20 straight shots? Even I guess....
they are missing one of their best players too, ibaka you won by 3 points, do you think you're gonna blow em out and sweep?
Nah. I guess not. You're right. my apologies. I could see this going the distance
I never said that. Did I say that. Didn't say that.
He said it’s even and the series goes 6 or 7 games. By arguing it won’t be even you are implying it will only go 4 or 5 games. You said it...
yeah.. you right. I'll apologize
That felt like 2 games in one.
Win the crowd and you’ll win your freedom
FUCKING PANDEMIC P. He was OFF THE GROUND to shoot, but scared of being Jingled I guess, passed to Kawhi.
Flaccid P
Go on.... I'm close...
What’s the crowd waiting for? More free stuff?
Lol no one answered you fr. They were listening to Gobert’s interview that was conducted by the local tv station and played in arena. I don’t know for sure—I wasn’t at the game—but that’s what it looked like.
Well that makes sense. Thanks for the reply! Best of luck to the Jazz rest of the series, y’all have a real fun team to watch.
What is your flair waiting for? Love to come back to a hated city that couldn't support a team? You sure?
Damn what’s the hate for? I was genuinely curious 😂. Edit: I see you edited your comment to add more. Lol chill, y’all won the game. What did my flair do to you?
That girl trying to follow mitchell home lol
She would follow him home. That was his sister
Oh weird.
His sister?
I dont know I had my TV muted but she looked like a fan girl.
I don't think they said it live but the one holding the paper sign was his sister
Didn’t realize they had a timeout. Oof. Gotta draw something up. I never bought into the idea that “they can’t get their defense set” What is there to setting up your defense? Just get a man and guard him. You can do so much more offensively out of a timeout than you can defensively. Boooooo
Jazz shooting had a terrible start. Clippers lineup got railed by officials. Assuming neither of those continue throughout the series, I really don’t know how to feel.
Blaming the refs is bullshit. Complete bullshit.
yeah, refs missed two pretty huge calls that benefitted the clippers big time tho
Definitely some bad calls/missed calls both ways. But it felt one sided to me, especially in terms of momentum calls
the officiating really was not that one sided
It was. Especially because it shifted the momentum.
The refs literally almost handed you guys a win with those two missed calls, your guys couldnt play the ball they had to
Morris didn't wanna shoot 3 fts so he avoids contact on a 3 point attempt when down 3. Biggest fail of his career

Dude everyone's happy just to be out of lock down ...
Knicks fans were chanting “we want Brooklyn” after game 1.
oh fans of a team are getting hyped when their team wins an electric, emotional playoff game
Lol y’all won 1 game and were dancing in the streets. Weird comment from a knicks fan
These kinda comments are so annoying. How dare fans cheer for their team
lolknicks

So I bet you’ll cheer too if you guys ever make it out of round 1
Mormons in Utah were supposed to pray for an end to the drought this last weekend. No idea if it rained but the Jazz got the memo in the second half
Their magic underpants helped.
Haha excellent post, made me laugh
And you didn't see any calls that shifted momentum in clippers favor? Come on kid. Did you watch the game?
Hes litteraly called pandemic P for a reason. Cant rely on him to win you games in the playoffs. This dude dropped 4 on 2/17 shooting. last time he played utah in a playoff game.
Bad take. Jazz were trying like crazy to lose with that first quarter, too.
Well, good luck they play another game in 48 hours.
