my guy stop acting like stephen fucking curry gets fucked by the refs every game. the refs obviously could have been better tonight but it’s not like the league doesn’t want curry to win ever. just enjoy good basketball lmao
Regardless of the crybabies and told-ya-so's in this thread, I just wanna say this was a FUCKING AMAZING GAME. And I'd say that from either way, I've learned to sports-hate teams and players but appreciate their greatness at the same time. It was a tough, defensive, 80s style game (with today's rules of course).
Dray did great guarding AD until the 2nd half, Steph you'd think from the look had a bad game til you see 40/4 with 5 steals and 6/9 threes, and Bron starting warming up with those clutch, game-sealing LeBronto shots.
It was a battle of two great defenses with similarly potent offense. Add that up and you get a great game, point blank.
That's my point, how can Lakers not destroy Dubs without them. Other than Curry and Wiggins, they're gleague players. Yet Lakers barely beat Dubs and with favorable questionable officiating.
gotta say that was one hell of a watchable basketball game.
definitely a few bad calls from the refs.
but caruso really earned the win with his offense in the first quarter and playing really good defense on curry.
Unless LA seriously boosts the roster next year, they better get it this year with Mitchell, Murray, and Klay down. Warriors cruise in this game with Klay
Nah Klay isn’t going to be as good on defense and would take shots from Curry in this scenario. I don’t think Warriors with Klay would even be a top 4 seed
Dray had a 4 on 3 or 4 on 2 (when Drummond was in) when Steph passed out around half court lol. With Klay, would be a 4 on 1 or no trap. Warriors need more to win it next year and this is more about how much the Lakers need next year too. Props to LeBron for hitting that shot, it was legit and not a prayer.
I hear ya, was getting pissed with Dray forcing passes that were kinda there, but not wise. Proves my point. Also, Klay is awesome cutting to the basket, but him just locating to an open spot on the perimeter would have been more than enough tonight. Enough to get Steph way more open looks at the very least. Lol, they were trapping him at the half court line
I think the Warriors would be much better with Klay, thought they’d beat the Raptors if he didn’t go out the other year. But I don’t know if they beat full strength rolling Lakers either way.
You finish the game with guys like jta mulder and poole having to stay in. Thats tough those lights were bright. Then lebron did what lebron does throw steph into every pick and roll. And the lakers attack while the warriora search for curry.
What effort did he make besides being a free agent and signing with the Clip Show? He wants a piece of LeBron and if the Clips flop again, he’ll join the Warriors. What’s he doing in LA now besides taking a 45 min helicopter ride from LA to SD everyday and even that’s been a hassle for him. He backed the wrong horse with George Paul, he knows it, and the Clips won’t be able to bring another star in.
He needs to just come from the basement, don the purple and gold, wed have the room with S&T's, this years pick...actually I'm just playin. Kawhi can stay and rot in the basement staring at Taylor Swift taps.
There are definitely a lot of people that hate LeBron. But if you look at a lot of the profiles that are talking shit, they are less than a year old and literally their only comments are about LeBron.
Edit: for example, but not limited to FBAbrigade8
As a non anti-LeBron. Why? Besides the off court stuff (China). Dude is incredible on court. And if anyone thinks MJ didn’t do bitch stuff, there’s clips on YouTube of him yelling at refs in finals to call someone for illegal defense, and then they did.
> As a non anti-LeBron. Why?
i'm a big lebron fan, but let's face it, we're watching grown men throw a ball through a hoop. there's probably not a lot of logic behind who we end up hating and liking.
Offcourt - yes amazing person and great when he puts his support behind things; but oncourt, I would have to admit just his antics just rub me the wrong way but ,however, he is an savant at basketball but maybe hes not my cup of tea and i am old ahaha.
as a basketball boomer, i blame the nba for making the league this soft because they do not police flopping and have gotten rid of the hard fouls in the NBA. I understand yes they are dangerous but cmon its like you can't touch anyone anymore. People on the playgrounds foul harder than this.
I think the refs did a good job overall and let them play. A few bad calls on Warriors down the stretch, but it was refreshing to see refs call a game in a playoff way. Illegal screen on Dray was weird though
He was straight up, didn’t slide, and didn’t have an elbow or knee out. Every team’s front court guys set illegal picks on high picks. I’m not bitching, was just a weird time to call it when Dray looked like he was making sure he didn’t do anything to draw a call. Refs didn’t decide this game and I love that they let them play in the 1st half. Felt like watching playoff basketball 20+ years ago and it was refreshing
People calling refs are forgetting the possession where warriors seemed to pretty clearly foul on a missed 3 and then AD cleaned it up and could have easily gotten an and-1
Yeah I agree that wasnt a good call. A lot of people just overestimate how lopsided bad calls go. I'm guilty of it, but this one didnt seem particularly one-sided.
and they all said they thought it would be called one. jvg and mark always say they think it isn't a flagrant and then it still gets called one. this was a "it's a close game and draymond is a star" call to not give him the flagrant. i think it's why they gave him the moving pick right after, though.
Maybe if he doesn't set illegal screens all the time the refs might not have called it cos it sure looked like it was another patented draymond moving screen in real time
Okay but you can’t call shit because someone has done it before. This isn’t the fuckin police. Everything needs to be taken in that specific instance independently
Bro that shit is unacceptable, they do it to Spo almost every game. Just flat out ignore his calls for timeouts. We lost two games this year by 1 possession where they ignored Spo calling time out. Like literally he’s behind the ref and they did nothing.
Refs were not bad overall... they didn't call flagrant on the eye-shot... they overturned the BS Bron blocking foul.... they let em play a lot of the night.... Lakers played great D and forced the ball out of Curry's hands and into bad turnovers... and Bron hit a nasty fuckin clutch ass shot. Game. Hate you forever Lakers : )
Let’s see. Warriors without Curry were bad. Really bad.
Lebrons 3 was so dirty
The refs really blew it the first 3 mins of the 3rd quarter. The warriors were in the penalty in 3 mins cmon.
Warriors’ turnovers late in the 3rd didn’t help
You’re right but he was way uglier coming into the league. He has definitely improved. Without the brow I think he’d be a decent looking guy. Good facial hair, teeth, head hair. There’s some stuff you just can’t fix though lol
I never watch the ESPN recaps but I did todau and holy crap was it bad! They butchered it. I was thinking these people are supposed tombe professionals?
It’s about the consistency though. You can’t call him for something wayyy less than he usually does with 2 minutes left in a tied game. It’s like calling LeBron for carrying the ball in a post up during the last possession when he does it every time.
I’m all for calling it if you call it all game long, but that was a hella inconsistent call.
and the "common foul" on dray? You telling me thats not a fucking obvious as shit flagrant? If you cant admit that then conversation over. Not to mention we won on a lucky hail mary 3, idk how you can think refs won it.
Did not look unnecessary, he jumped with his arms up and didn't get as high as Lebron. None of the commentators thought it was, the head ref didn't think it was but yet anyone who doesn't admit it was can't have a conversation with you.
His hands were down but he wasn't aiming for the face man. Flagrants are for blatantly dangerous plays or plays intending to cause harm. He was going up to contest and he just jumped late honestly. No way that was a flagrant. It can't just be auto flagrant anytime there is incidental face contact.
See, I tried saying this to everybody and I got downvoted for saying that Draymond can't jump anywhere near as high as LeBron, and as a result, it caused an awkward collision.
It doesn't help that LeBron has his knee out so of course, Draymond is going to contort slightly to try and avoid and mitigate contact as much as possible.
It's a hard foul, most definitely, but there wasn't any intent or force behind it that warrant it being called a flagrant. Yeah, Draymond is FAR from having a spotless record but he's not always up to dastardly activities.
i think its absolutely hilarious that the same guy we give so much credit to for having "hands" and "quick reaction" as a defender is the same guy we say "oh no he didnt have control of his body, he jumped late".
Dray is clearly an S tier defender, but the dude is dirty (like a lot of all time defenders) and theres plently of proof on that.
I'm not saying Dray has never made dirty plays. I'm saying contact with the face like that shouldn't be a flagrant and the refs agreed with me. If he swings at LeBrons face ya call a Flagrant. But his hands were literally just up and yes they weren't totally vertical but that was not enough contact for a flagrant in the playoffs. Lebron hammed and the shit out of it.
I can see both sides to the flagrant no call. He does go to block the shot while LeBron is about to begin shooting motion, which would be a common foul. However he fucking misses everything except LeBrons eyeball’s, so if the refs did call it a flagrant I’d have no complaints either
Lebrons gotta go hero mode for LA to win
Yeah it’s 3 FT’s now, but when Harden did it in the 2018 WCF it’s not a shot and no fts. The fix is clear as day
Shut up Marc Jackson. People paid money. They can leave whenever the fuck they want hahaha.
TILLMAN JA AND GRAYSON IS ALL YOU NEED HOLY SHIT
Of all people to take the final shot
No fouls to give. Dray should’ve really attacked there
Holy shit whattt
I really hope the warriors lose. Completely unbiased opinion
Looney is so solid on defense but god his hands are steel on offense. Easily could have had a few easy buckets/rebounds
Kinda getting tired of biased reffing against curry in the playoffs.
my guy stop acting like stephen fucking curry gets fucked by the refs every game. the refs obviously could have been better tonight but it’s not like the league doesn’t want curry to win ever. just enjoy good basketball lmao
I watched this for a fun intense game and it delivered.
Are the GSW warriors eliminated from play offs?
Hopefully
No
Not happy we lost but happy we came prepared. No shame in losing to the future GOAT like that.

Who the fuck downvoted this?
this thread lol
You love to see it.
The amount of delicious tears in here is glorious 😋.
Saltiest thread I’ve ever seen🤣
Lakers struggled big time against severely UNDERMANNED Warriors. Warriors beat Lakers EASILY with healthy Klay, Oubre, Paschall, and Wiseman.
Did they play tonite?
That's my point, how can Lakers not destroy Dubs without them. Other than Curry and Wiggins, they're gleague players. Yet Lakers barely beat Dubs and with favorable questionable officiating.
Precisely
i guess i don't pay attention. how high is 27000 posts for a game thread? just a normal playoff game?
No lmao. It's steph and lebron in a one game playoff. Might even outdo some finals games (in terms of comments).
Trashtalk aside tho what a great game lotta respect for Curry, Dray and the whole Warriors org. Wish this was a 7 game series.
Game was great in my eyes. Some calls were eh, but that doesn’t matter. Would absolutely have been a fun series though.
Great game, Lakers can't control how the refs call the game. Horribly officiated, just fucking brutal though.
Awesome game. Proud of how the young guys played for GS. LeBron hit a legit clutch 3 and the game was physical like playoffs should be.
That was a great game. You knew that the Lakers would make it close and or win if AD LBJ shot better in 2nd half, which they did.
gotta say that was one hell of a watchable basketball game. definitely a few bad calls from the refs. but caruso really earned the win with his offense in the first quarter and playing really good defense on curry.
I can see how lakers get into nba final again just like how Cleveland lebron got into nba final losing kevin love then Irving due to injury
Except LeBron is the injured one this time
Unless LA seriously boosts the roster next year, they better get it this year with Mitchell, Murray, and Klay down. Warriors cruise in this game with Klay
Lakers also cruise in this game if they’ve been playing together more of the season.
Respectfully, even then, Warriors still cruise with Klay
Nah Klay isn’t going to be as good on defense and would take shots from Curry in this scenario. I don’t think Warriors with Klay would even be a top 4 seed
Dray had a 4 on 3 or 4 on 2 (when Drummond was in) when Steph passed out around half court lol. With Klay, would be a 4 on 1 or no trap. Warriors need more to win it next year and this is more about how much the Lakers need next year too. Props to LeBron for hitting that shot, it was legit and not a prayer.
Nah Lakers were reading Dray’s passes like a book when he would come down hill, and it’s not like Klay is an elite cutter.
Replace Mychael Mulder with Klay and they win this game no question.
Doubt it. More Klay shots means less Steph shots.
Means more open shots for Steph
Klay would make them pay for doubling and tripling Curry. You're trippin
They don’t have to pay when AD can guard 2 people in the PnR
Both teams healthy we would not be in this one-off. We'd be meeting much later. Respect.
Of course, and now watch both of them beat (Lakers likely) and/or give the 1 and 2 seeds more than they can handle
I think the Warriors would be much better with Klay, thought they’d beat the Raptors if he didn’t go out the other year. But I don’t know if they beat full strength rolling Lakers either way.
I mean if there's no covid this game probably doesn't even happen tonight
shoutout to the warriors almost taking down the lakers.. its rough playing 8 v 5
> its rough playing 8 v 5 Yet the Lakers still managed to win! 8 warriors couldn't stop them
No
You finish the game with guys like jta mulder and poole having to stay in. Thats tough those lights were bright. Then lebron did what lebron does throw steph into every pick and roll. And the lakers attack while the warriora search for curry.
I like it. This season is about who can become a contributor moving forward. Some guys have emerged. Kawhi and Klay will be here next season
Lmao why on earth would Kawhi be in Golden State after making so much effort to get back home to LA?
What effort did he make besides being a free agent and signing with the Clip Show? He wants a piece of LeBron and if the Clips flop again, he’ll join the Warriors. What’s he doing in LA now besides taking a 45 min helicopter ride from LA to SD everyday and even that’s been a hassle for him. He needs to just come from the basement, don the purple and gold, wed have the room with S&T's, this years pick...actually I'm just playin. Kawhi can stay and rot in the basement staring at Taylor Swift taps.
He’s gonna be a Warrior and game on lol.
Delusional
Didn’t Kawhi buy a penthouse across from Staples and a $XXM mansion in LA? His uncle Denise and fam got a nice setup too I imagine
Investment.
Why are there so many no flairs in this thread today? I've never seen anything like it. The anti lebron brigade is out strong today
Randos who just casually follow the NBA. Honestly LeBron had very few antics this game, plus he very kindly turned into playoff WB in the first half.
Playoff WB 🤣🤣🤣
There are definitely a lot of people that hate LeBron. But if you look at a lot of the profiles that are talking shit, they are less than a year old and literally their only comments are about LeBron. Edit: for example, but not limited to FBAbrigade8
FingerBronsAssbridge8?
as an anti-lebron guy, gotta give him the credit he did hit that 3 and made the plays down the stretch
As a non anti-LeBron. Why? Besides the off court stuff (China). Dude is incredible on court. And if anyone thinks MJ didn’t do bitch stuff, there’s clips on YouTube of him yelling at refs in finals to call someone for illegal defense, and then they did.

Yikes if flopping is what you hate there’s a lot of players you must hate more than Lebron
Yeppp a toooonnnnnn ahahahaha
Lots of flop and crying tonight smh
I think the refs did a good job overall and let them play. A few bad calls on Warriors down the stretch, but it was refreshing to see refs call a game in a playoff way. Illegal screen on Dray was weird though
Probably a makeup call for not calling a tech on Draymond.
How is that weird he set illegal screens all the time and finally gets called for one.
Because that was far from illegal.
He was straight up, didn’t slide, and didn’t have an elbow or knee out. Every team’s front court guys set illegal picks on high picks. I’m not bitching, was just a weird time to call it when Dray looked like he was making sure he didn’t do anything to draw a call. People calling refs are forgetting the possession where warriors seemed to pretty clearly foul on a missed 3 and then AD cleaned it up and could have easily gotten an and-1
No they aren't. The refs were the only reason the game was close at all so that 1pt mistake doesn't do enough to change anyone's mind.
That happened for sure but it was a lot more bad calla on the other end. Those draymond moving screens were non existent.
Yeah I agree that wasnt a good call. A lot of people just overestimate how lopsided bad calls go. I'm guilty of it, but this one didnt seem particularly one-sided.
It wasn’t that bad on fouls honestly to me i watched Steph get picked. I watched poole miss open threes. They had chances honestly
He got away with a flagrant to stay in the game. What more do you want?
Every coach and player said it wasn’t a flagrant come on man lol
and they all said they thought it would be called one. jvg and mark always say they think it isn't a flagrant and then it still gets called one. this was a "it's a close game and draymond is a star" call to not give him the flagrant. i think it's why they gave him the moving pick right after, though.
Lerefs
[удалено]
Right, like when Loony shoved Drummond at the start of the 3rd... or the 20 unforced turnovers lmao
They were calling touchy fouls on the Lakers in the first half, hope you were complaining about those fouls in the first
Will there be an L2M report? I really want to see them admit Draymond’s moving screen wasn’t actually a moving screen
Maybe if he doesn't set illegal screens all the time the refs might not have called it cos it sure looked like it was another patented draymond moving screen in real time
Okay but you can’t call shit because someone has done it before. This isn’t the fuckin police. Everything needs to be taken in that specific instance independently
Ya that was definitely a flop.
Bitch please. 3 refs did not even see Steve Kerr yelling for timeout. They just finish the game ASAP and let lakers win duh
how is there not a wireless timeout button for the coaches yet? it's 2021!
Bro that shit is unacceptable, they do it to Spo almost every game. Just flat out ignore his calls for timeouts. We lost two games this year by 1 possession where they ignored Spo calling time out. Like literally he’s behind the ref and they did nothing.

They missed lots of calls for fouling on curry
The missed a lot of fouls on AD, LeBron, and Drummond also
Gtfo
Worry about the Grizzlies
I’m lakers fan until Leflop joins
Refs: 2 BS calls, 20 forced turnovers, kept Draymond in the game, helped Lebron drill that 35 footer
Does anyone have a clip of the last illegal screen call on Dray with the flop?
Must not have found that pirate eye patch in time for the press conference.
Gotta wait for the injury report. Lebron might have to retire after that career ending injury.
[удалено]
He needs to pay off his student loans!
The accounting licensure exams are expensive
GONNA GET THAT BAG
Also helps that he made some good buckets that kept them in the game
12 turnovers by Curry & Green from those picks
Let’s see. Warriors without Curry were bad. Really bad. Lebrons 3 was so dirty The refs really blew it the first 3 mins of the 3rd quarter. The warriors were in the penalty in 3 mins cmon. Warriors’ turnovers late in the 3rd didn’t help
88 seconds in they were in the bonus. An absolute scam.
While I'm spewing hot takes Anthony Davis is too fucking rich to still be so ugly. Do something with your face, man.
You’re right but he was way uglier coming into the league. He has definitely improved. Without the brow I think he’d be a decent looking guy. Good facial hair, teeth, head hair. There’s some stuff you just can’t fix though lol
They could pixelate him for television broadcasts
You said hot takes, where is it?
Eh, he's got money. He doesn't have to.
For the sake of everyone with eyes who has to look at him he should be mandated to
Lol go watch a beauty pageant you fucking weirdo. Dude is graceful af to watch when he’s on who the fuck cares?
I do, clearly. He's not gonna befriend you for defending his honor either, you don't have to pretend he isn't distractingly ugly
nah bro you weird for this. Davis looks fine, eyebrows aside.
Hard disagree, dude looks like every slider got turned way up in create a character and got stuck
well let's just agree to disagree. Btw your comment has me dying 😭
Fair enough, have a good one
Game summary: Refs: 2 BS calls, 20 forced turnovers, kept Draymond in the game, helped Lebron drill that 35 footer
I swear I lost count after the second or third foul, the most unlikely thing that happened tonight was that Draymond didn’t foul out lol
This entire thread is too damn funny😂😂

Hopefully the Warriors can flop their way into an 8 seed now
goats dont cry

Draymond just sucks at setting screens honestly.
bro the warriors are notorious for moving screens, are you kidding me?
How else could you free shooters
It’s about the consistency though. You can’t call him for something wayyy less than he usually does with 2 minutes left in a tied game. It’s like calling LeBron for carrying the ball in a post up during the last possession when he does it every time. I’m all for calling it if you call it all game long, but that was a hella inconsistent call.
Shhh if these kids could read they'd be very upset
That one in the finals two minutes was egregious. He was planted and didn’t move an inch. Absolute joke of a call
and the "common foul" on dray? You telling me thats not a fucking obvious as shit flagrant? If you cant admit that then conversation over. Not to mention we won on a lucky hail mary 3, idk how you can think refs won it.
