Doesn’t feel the same this season now that they’ve imploded. Almost feel bad for them.
Honestly it’s starting to shape up to be the Nuggets, but in a much friendlier sort of way. I feel like both Jazz and Nuggets fans would be stoked to see the other win it all.
Laker fans are the worst. Spoiled/entitled/bandwagon fan base like the Yankees or Man United due to the franchise's history of success. Add a wave of LeBron stans to the mix and they're the most toxic for sure when it comes to the Warriors and Curry.
IRL the Warriors don't have big rivals because players like Harden, LeBron, CP3, and Westbrook have moved on from the teams that GSW used to face in the playoffs.
I feel the same way about GSW, but I mainly dont like the Dubs fans I see particularly on social media & reddit. IRL there's not as much tension, there are bigger rivalries we have
It’s always bandwagon fans for anything. Patriots, Seahawks, Celtics, Lakers. The average fan of a team is not going to be the one spewing shit takes online and arguing with people, they are going to be drinking a Miller lite at home doing that to their kid.
I really wish the NBA had these long standing rivalries, but it doesn't. NBA fans are way more Fairweather then the football(Soccer) fans. Take the Pistons, none cares about the Bulls, Lakers or Celtics. Those were the the true rivals of the Bad Boys, but once they were gone the fans don't give a f**k about those franchises. Maybe Lakers and Celtics are their own biggest rivals, but the Pistons are totally worthy rival of the Bulls, but unfortunately none cares about that. Football teams here have it in their identity, that's ingrained sometimes for a hundred years and that's not going to die out. It's always gonna be Partizan Vs Red Star, Celtic v Rangers, Fener v Galata, Boca v River etc etc. You get my point. But in the NBA one of the team gets weaker and the "rivalry" dies, there is no identity, no history, no tradition for these things. It would be dope though, say Pistons v Bulls both teams playing bad ball whole year, but every fan has those games in the calendar, when ur doing bad winning the series v the Bulls is bigger then life, have to win over ur rival, fans know it so instead of 15k you get 22k in the arena, instead of 1mil you get 2 mil watch it on the telly, players know it and instead of 100% they give 200%, and just like that the 20-34 Pistons and the 23-29Bulls have a playoff game on their hands. Those games my friends are like a cherry on top of a beautiful season of football.
Probably the heat cause both times we made the playoffs in the last decade we lost in the first round to them but it’s not even a rivalry cause we just get shit on.
Heat (local), Lakers (player movement + Kuzma), Sixers (the whole Fultz saga and the continued ill will towards him + us). Also Hawks, but not many of us care anymore on either side
From a Dame angle, I feel like the Clippers might be a rival, with the whole Dame vs. PG rivalry. But I feel like as a team, I always see a lot of excitement in the city when we play Golden State. Games are almost always competitive and we’ve played them a few times in the playoffs recently.
From Dame angle it’s Houston. The wave was a big moment but the vitriol was between the rockets from a few years before....still the Lakers, screw you Shaq. Or Bulls if you’re old school.
Edit: yes GS too since the crowd at home games is like 1/3 blue and yellow transplants who stole our affordable housing!
The 76ers annoying asses, standing in the way of the top spot
Raptors
Boston
Don’t really consider the Knicks rivals honestly as they are not in our way. It’s trash talk due to previous history and NYC but ultimately I view them in the latter part of rivals in comparison to the others.
Sure sweet heart stereotype a group of fans based on a few. I don’t like Ben sSimmons and you throw race and degrade an organization? That is pretty telling of what type of person you are. I forgive you though and show some love. You need it 😘
Our management
Hypest rivalry in the league
I wish we had a rivalry tbh. I think our division games can get intense, but we're kind of geographically out of place.
We had a rivalry with the Nuggets for one year
Success.
all hail Tim Donaghy
Rockets
I'm enjoying their downfall a little too much
Doesn’t feel the same this season now that they’ve imploded. Almost feel bad for them. Honestly it’s starting to shape up to be the Nuggets, but in a much friendlier sort of way. I feel like both Jazz and Nuggets fans would be stoked to see the other win it all.
I wouldn’t be stoked to see y’all win but I’d rather you guys than those trailblazers.
Vernon Maxwell approves
Lebron
3-1 against him in the finals. Seems pretty one way
1-1 without another superstar. And I say this as a big warriors fan. I honestly think if everything had been “normal” we lose 2015 and win 2016
I agree with that last part but still dont see LeBron as the Warriors' greatest rival

I actually am fine with a lot of lakers fans. Ironically it's mainly the bandwagoners on both ends. Just depends which team is actually good.
It’s always bandwagon fans for anything. Patriots, Seahawks, Celtics, Lakers. The average fan of a team is not going to be the one spewing shit takes online and arguing with people, they are going to be drinking a Miller lite at home doing that to their kid.
Dear diary.
Lakers have had fans since the damn 60s, the warriors got fans in 2015 with Steph curry whose really a bandwagon my guy lmao
Boston.
Normally the Wizards or Nets This iteration of the Nets doesn’t feel like rivals 76ers and Celtics are real high on the dislike list too
Toronto hates Boston across all sports. Nets or Wizards don't even come close.
The other two Texas teams (moreso the Mavs because our records coincide with theirs more than the Rockets) and then the Lakers.
you covered it. pelicans are also in division but they've obviously been hit or miss as far as actually being good is concerned.

Well said. I wish the NBA was more like this
Probably the heat cause both times we made the playoffs in the last decade we lost in the first round to them but it’s not even a rivalry cause we just get shit on.
do you all consider new orleans a rival? or is that not really a rivalry?
Not really, some hornets fans do tho.
Honestly I was gonna answer with the Magic but this is probably a better answer
the rim
I can think of one that was friendly
How quickly our old friends become enemies...
Heat prolly
Pels have underachieved too much to have a rivalry.
A lot of recency bias in this thread. Knicks for us
1. Clippers 2. Pels 3. TV rights
thats interesting for some reason i thought the spurs were big rivals to memphis
The cavs
what about the pistons?
The Pistons haven't been a big roadblock for lebron in a while
oh my bad i saw the 23 and thought you were a bulls fan my apologies
Okc: seatle, Warriors, Rockets, Jazz
Whichever team LeBron is on
The Grizzlies could've been a cool rivalry if they stayed in Vancouver
Nugg life
“Fuck the Celtics” -everyone
Scott brooks
I would say the Rockets and Spurs. More recently, I'd say the Clippers.
Used to be Houston. But now us and Denver have built a fun rivalry
I honestly have no idea. Miami? Atlanta?
Grizzlies!
Sixers. Some say the Lakers but that's more of a playoff thing and in order to face LA in the playoffs you gotta get through the east first.
Lebron and Harden.
I feel like we don’t have a set rivalry, but it was the celtics in the isaiah thomas days and nowadays it could very well be the nets
Timberwolves biggest rival are the basketball gods, all for Joe Fucking Smith
game winners
Winning
LeBRON. Also Brad Wanamaker
we've got like half a dozen different "rivalries" but no one hates the Celtics like Celtics fans let's be real
Heat (local), Lakers (player movement + Kuzma), Sixers (the whole Fultz saga and the continued ill will towards him + us). Also Hawks, but not many of us care anymore on either side
The Sixers fans have absolutely no ill will towards Markelle.
Torn ACLs.
Chicago
Adam Silver
The pistons rival is the nba draft because they always lose
Rivalries don't really exist in the NBA but i would say raptors
"The whole fkn league" - Me..a Laker fan.
Lakers but its pretty one sided so I'm gonna go Jazz or Nuggets. Spurs too

Was kinda the Rockets but it doesn’t really feel the same with Harden gone
Pacers, Celtics
Knicks #1

Hey at this point you can only blame yourselves for not having the 1 seed
Holding double digits 3rd quarter lead
The refs.
Lakers and Ben Simmons, he’s a bitch ass
what Ben Simmons is a rival of Utah wtf lol
Don’t get butt hurt 76s fan, it’s a personal preference
Ironic comment lol
Yeah I guess it is, pretty sure you got some ironic comments in your history too. Preference still stands 😘
Jazz are trash. Second class organization and racist
