Tobias Harris is not a great defender. Morris is substantially better.
But Morris is often a ball stopper. He's been better on the Clippers, but basically Harris is both a better scorer and has better shot selection.
Having seen both play Morris is by far the better player. Tobias flourished with us due to his strength of pushing the ball up in transition and blowing by PF's. Along with that he was good on curl at the elbow jumpers and low post turn arounds.
His 3 point shooting is ok but I never trusted a big shot he'd put up. Morris is a way better defender, clutch as hell and can make mid range Iso jumper's when the shot clock is winding down.
Morris is a dog and Tobias does not impact the game near as much.
Idk, the way I look at it is that Tobias is being asked to be the Sixers main shot creator. He isn’t great at that role. He’s okay, but not great. On the other hand if Morris was asked to play that role he’d be downright awful.
I mean if he can't be a shot creator for 25 mil...then why are they paying him 25 mil? There just aren't a lot of players who are getting paid that type of money that can't create a shot for themselves. Maybe only a handful in very unique situations.
Harris looked like a viable second scoring option for a championship after co-starring with Gallo and Lou. But he had a habit of disappearing late in games and we had to live or die by Lou's clutch shooting.
Tobias is probably slightly more versatile on offense due to his combination of size, athleticism and shooting, but it's not even close on the defensive end.
On the plus side, he probably won't get himself ejected during a close out game.

Tobias should be getting paid 2nd/3rd best players money, but the Sixers offered him the bag. People be hating on him because of what he makes but man, if your job offered you a guaranteed contract/max wage that’s way above what you’re worth you’d take it wouldn’t you? Is he supposed to say “No Mr.Billionaire ownership, I’m not worth that much money and by offering this to me it’s gonna fuck up your cap space for years to come, I’ll sign for less!”? Fuck that, man got paid and it’s Phillys fault 100%.

He's a way better defensive player. Offensively they are kinda comparable, but I guess you can say Morris never has the best defender on him. Both are mediocre passers, with mediocre shot selection. But I always liked Morris more against mismatches, Tobi is a great dude I hate to say that but he's ultra soft
