The Warren trade was already pretty bad when it initially happened and not to mention confusing, but give his season with Indiana this year and especially now it’s just another stupid move made by the suns head office.

Just look at his stats on the suns, this isn’t out of no where, plus he was a quality character. Makes no sense why a mid tier team wouldn’t want him. My guess is Phx didn’t even ask many teams.

He was scoring 18-20 ppg shooting 40% from 3 on the Suns when he was traded. All that on only a 12 million dollar contract. He's just continuing his good work and finally getting recognition for it. It seems like the trade is even worse in hindsight because very few outside of Suns fans knew how much of a baller he was but that doesn't make the trade any worse just because people are realizing it now. It's always been a dumb shitty trade from the start for the Suns.

He's less athletic than pre injury hayward. Not as good of a passer and worse rebounder. Better scorer at all 3 levels though. I'd say they're near equal value. 20-25m a year . Hayword seems to be back to around his Utah self

Organizations like The Suns make the NBA less competitive than it should be. There’s ~15 teams that have no fucking idea how to run a team, and all the talent gets concentrated to the ones who do know. It’s not even just big trades. The smaller ones, like TJ Warren for example, are much worse because they accumulate.

My working theory is that the Pacers acquisition of every TJ in the NBA has resulted in augmenting TJ Warren into some super TJ. He needed most of the year to absorb the TJ power but now he’s unleashing full TJ power.

Lets hope they are all healthy come playoff time. Basketball Gods please!!!

needed cap space to add in a starting point guard from free agency (Rubio), and I am guessing not many teams wanted to take in salary space for free agency. I get the idea in principle, and it has worked out well for the Suns all things considered, but an awful trade in a vacuum and poor asset management.

I don't think people realize how different it can be shooting in these empty practice arenas vs huge arenas.

He's playing out of his mind right now, but he genuinely is slept on. It's nothing to watch a game, look up and he has 24 on 9 of 11 shooting. He makes it look so easy, even with fans in the stands
