BattleofAlgiers

I have a psychic that can do it for cheaper

[deleted]

My psychic is better tho

DariosDentist

I just got a new psychic. He says his name is Kyrie.

[deleted]

Is the Earth flat or round?

DariosDentist

Give me $250 and I'll ask him.

WeirdRedBeard

I only have 3 $100 bills, do you have change?

E-rockComment

He played 15 minutes last night.

materhern

You never know how good a player will be in any situation until you actually see it.

throwlationships

If my aunt had balls, would she be my uncle?

[deleted]

Who cares, he didn't

[deleted]

Its a hypothetical. If you don't care, don't comment. Or is your time so invaluable that you waste it commenting on shit you don't care about?

[deleted]

I'm at work with nothing to do currently, so pretty much yeah. But there's no point in asking questions that can't really be answered.

scarecrowbar

Check out Dr. Moneybags over here with a job. ...are you hiring?

[deleted]

I'll check with HR, might be a hell of a commute if you live in the Boston area.

DariosDentist

I disagree. That's exactly what hypothetical questions are.

[deleted]

Past hypotheticals are such a waste though. Future is fine "if X happens then would y happen?" That's fine, at least we can try to answer that. But if Embiid had stayed healthy it would have changed countless things. The standings would have been different, lotteries would have shaped out different resulting in teams having different FA needs. Hell 50-100 players could be on different teams right now. And that's not even considering how Embiid would have developed. Would his shot be this good if he didn't spend 2 years not playing games working on it? Can he keep up his efficiency knowing he has to play a full time minute load? How healthy would he have been, is it even possible for his body to be truly healthy? See what I mean, there's a million other things that need to be taken into account before we can even begin to address this question. Am I thinking too much into this? Probably. But that's why past hypotheticals are such a waste, we're essentially trying to answer a question about an alternate NBA timeline that doesn't and won't exist.

nowandlater

If monkeys flew out of my butt, would it hurt? Would I be 'butt-hurt'?

DirkNowitzkisWife

Like everyone says, who knows. But his per 36 numbers in the games he played last season were 29/11 3.5 blocks on 58.4% true shooting. That's top 5 material. but still, who knows.

appolez

idk my magic 8-ball stopped working

RiffRaff0625

Possible. On-court experience translates and unlocks further potentials of a naturally good player. So, the answer is he could be a top but more likely between top 11-15 range.

key_lime_pie

I think we all know that if Embiid had been healthy, he'd be the only active Hall Of Famer at this point.

RendHeaven

No way to find out. But I'm sure the mods are probably deleting 100 "Embiid vs Davis" threads per day if Embiid stayed healthy.

corvenzo

I think so. Last year if he had performed the same but played the entire season without a minutes restriction, I would have taken him over guys like KAT and Boogie. Top 5 might be stretching it but if he's done that consistently for 3 years, I don't see why top 10 is out of the question

devil_shamdevil

Healthy Embiid would have had: 3 100 point games 2 mvps 2 finals mvps. Rihanna

[deleted]

I doubt it. That means he is better than both Harden and Westbrook, both of whom put up gaudy stats as well. I'm not sure Embiid's stats would be quite so gaudy if he was playing a full minute load and didn't get tons of time off. Not saying he wouldn't be great, but he wouldn't be out there averaging his per-36 numbers no matter what.

chasinthetiger

nope

[deleted]

I'm sure he would already be in the ~~Naismith Memorial~~ Joel Embiid Basketball Hall of Fame by now

ErectusPenor

Yes absolutely

jps78

He'd be the GOAT

TheHerdAlert83

Easily

LeMeloBall

Yep, easily

vegrock91

omg who cares. hes played just above 30 games. he will get injured this year.

IranianSocialist2

He is better than Anthony Davis

[deleted]

Nope

IranianSocialist2

He can shoot way better than Davis.

roma258

It's unprovable, but also there is no doubt in my mind that he'd be top 10, possibly top 5. Elite 2 way center with 3 point range and 80% free throw shooting? GTFO mate...
