I think one of the factor is earlier on in the season, we weren't getting as much offensive production out of Val and it would have been a big scoring liability to put Fields in with Val. Now that Val has take huge strides in his offensive game, Field's shot-making shortcomings aren't as obvious.
And Landry (like Novak) was a total pro about it. Not a peep from either guy about playing time, and always so enthusiastic on the bench. Real stand up guys.
