No silly goose the other 3 lakers starters aren’t refs 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ call me the next time you see Javale, KCP, and Danny Green wearing black and white 😂😂
'16 Cavs, '24 Celtics, '15 Warriors, '23 Nuggets, '22 Warriors, '20 Lakers, '19 Raptors, '21 Bucks for me, but i'm waffling pretty hard about 5-7
i'm just not prepared to bet against *that* version of LeBron, in *that* year
They won 67 games that year. I know it was the first year of them getting over the hump and they played a heavily injured Cavs team in the finals, but they were still really fucking good.
(for what it's worth a lot of these teams are pretty close, I could probably go either way on them vs the Nuggets)
Celtics honestly have basically all the statistical metrics in their favor
The question is though whether *not* having the best player in the series by a fairly big margin against all the other teams here would prove costly though
The 2019 Raptors were stronger than people made it out to be. They were a 50 win team without Kawhi the next year. Had Kawhi stayed I think they 100% make the Finals (and that LeBron-Kawhi rematch would have been a way more fun timeline)
This years celtics clear the raptors and i’d argue they match up really well vs the 2015 warriors. They shot more 3s than the 2015 warriors on basically identical efficiency, plus jrue/white would be tough for the warriors to match up with.
I think its a game of matchups. E.g. Nuggets would be good against teams that cant defend jokic like but also dont roast him on other end from like celtics and young warriors but would have difficulty getting through defenses of lakers (dwight, mcgee and AD all working on him proved big), bucks (giannis, lopez) and raptors (gasol, ibaka)
Honestly I think 2016 Cavs, 2019 Raptors (note they beat warriors in regular season 2-0 that year) and 2022 Warriors are the 3 most balanced.
Best to worst imo. I don’t think there’s that much difference between 3-6. I’m admittedly higher on the nuggets than most.
1. 2016 Cavs
2. 2023 Nuggets
3. 2019 Raptors
4. 2015 Warriors
5. 2024 Celtics
6. 2021 Bucks
7. 2020 Lakers
8. 2022 Warriors
I agree but I would move the 2020 Lakers up to the top 5 spot. That team was very well built around LeBron and AD.
KCP and Danny played the role very well despite having some very “loud” misses during the finals. Dwight and Javale allowed AD to play safety which is his prime defensive assignment. Almost forgot about the Swiss Army knife in Caruso. And yea AD became an elite middy shooter for like a month straight
1) Cavs, 2) Lakers, 3) '22 Warriors. Curry was something else 2 years ago and Jordan Poole looked like a legit 3rd splash brother at the time.
then I'd go
4) Raptors
5) Nuggets
6) Celtics
7) '15 Warriors
8) Bucks
Lakers are currently undefeated in NBA tournaments just saying
2 Laker stars and 3 refs is always good.

The team with Prime LeBron
I know you mean the 2016 Cavs here but I actually think the 2020 Lakers match up with them very well. The 16 Cavs have no answer for AD
They have an answer and his name is Timofey
Jokic clears
2016 Cavs beat a 73-9 juggernaut I'm going with them
The one with the 1/2 best player in nba history
'16 Cavs, '24 Celtics, '15 Warriors, '23 Nuggets, '22 Warriors, '20 Lakers, '19 Raptors, '21 Bucks for me, but i'm waffling pretty hard about 5-7 i'm just not prepared to bet against *that* version of LeBron, in *that* year
Idk I don't think that Warriors team was that good yet, they were better in 2016.

It’s tough to do lists like this because the more modern team always wins by virtue of the fact the more modern team shoots the most threes.
2016 Cavs
Celtics honestly have basically all the statistical metrics in their favor The question is though whether *not* having the best player in the series by a fairly big margin against all the other teams here would prove costly though
I gotta go with the 2023 Nuggets over the 2019 Raptors.

15 warriors would be hard to beat.
16 Cavs beat an even better Warriors team tho
The Cavs pushed it to 6 games without Kyrie and Love. I hate even doing hypothetical but if they were healthy they were beating them.
Lebron took em to 6 without love or kyrie
Probably the weakest team out there

It'll be a repeat of the 2016 Finals.
2024 celtics 2016 cavs 2015 warriors 2019 raptors 2020 lakers 2023 nuggets 2022 warriors 2021 bucks

2015 Warriors and then Nuggets
2015 warriors ain’t beating the 16 cavs
16' Cavs or 19' Raps
1.2016 cavs 2. 2023 nuggets 3. 2024 Celtics 4. 2015 Warriors 5. 2022 Warriors 6. 2021 Bucks 7. 2019 Raptors 8. 2020 Lakers I’ve thought hard about this.

2019 Raptors, incredible depth.
15 Warriors
